Score from 958 reviews Good
Good proximity to Promenade and restaurants. Hotel staff always helpful and courteous. Visited hotel 10 years ago, and I'm happy to say that it hadn't changed-apart from the refurbishment of the Sun deck.
Breakfast was over priced. Room very small and no tea and coffee making facilities in room. Still had a wonderful stay!
The room top views and pool
room was a bit small
Rooftop terrace Cleanliness of the whole hotel Staff politeness Buffet breakfast Relaxing music on the roof terrace
The rooftop swimming pool could have been a little warmer - however it was refreshing
Room and bed were good and comfortable. Reception was friendly.
I wish they change to wooden floor... The carpet was rather worn out.
Location is great. The roof terrace and bar are very nice. We would have used the pool if it wasn't so cold. The Spa looked excellent, and must be as there was no availability. The room was cosmetically vert clean and shiny.
No availability at the spa. Although the room appeared clean, there was alot of dust in the aIrcon vents and when I fired up the Jacuzzi bath it coughed out a bit of hair and brown water. Not nice.
The location is excellent
Our room was just below the restruant and was woken each morning at 0600hrs by the cleaners , the spa fully booked so was also disappointed by that . Will I return ? .. I'm not sure
Rooftop restaurant and decks
Tired. Elevator very cramped and a bit scary old
Location Poolarea at the top Friendly and helpful staff
Small improvements could be made; Breakfast for EUR 19 p.p. - far to expensive, you get a very good breakfast for less than half in the same area Elevartors don't have sufficient capasity; too long wait or too many stair to climb
The staff were very apologetic and friendly. The spa was excellent although a bit short at 45 mins a session. The hotel offered us free parking and breakfast as compensation.
We booked a suite online at booking.com, however when we arrived we were told that they were fully booked and didn't have the room we booked and downgraded us to a double room. The hotel was in need of a refit....old fittings and fixtures a definite well worn look. The seating around the pool was old tired and uncomfortable.
Location good, beds very comfortable and pool area spotless
Pool was too cold to use, due to being Sept, not hotel fault. Bedding should be changed more regular as we stayed 8 days. If we had stayed only 1 night it would be changed for next guest
Great location. 500 meters to the railway and 500 metres to the sea. Rooms of a good size, bathroom large with good water pressure. Staff were fantastic, very helpful and only too willing to give you some handy hints.
Room is a little dated but didn't affect the stay. Only minor negative.
We had an executive room with a king bed. Room was a good size and clean with a modern bathroom on the first floor. We are particular but realistic travellers who like some extra comforts but expect what we pay for and the Splendid delivered.
Loved the pool and relaxation area on the roof. Breakfast on the roof was a real treat. This is what enticed me to return for a week having spent 3 days there last year.
Our room was very quiet with a lovely bathroom. Only draw back was the low ceiling and tiny balcony. We were on 7th floor. Maybe 6th or lower would be better but I had requested an upper floor.
Location; quality of suite; roof bar, pool and terrace.
Everything was OK
De-lux room balcony was very good(room nr 612). A functional WLAN. Good location.
At first night we were given the wrong room. 3th layer of the basic room was horrible. The bathroom(DeLux-room) smelled of mold.
Have stayed here many times and always enjoyed it. Staff very friendly and helpful.
This time junior suite was quite tatty. Satellite tv was not working. Kettle fused the lights on several occasions. Some sun chairs by pool were broken. That said our complaints were dealt with efficiently. Room could do with being refurbished.
Proximity to the beach, shops & restaurants Quality of the food and drinks Roof-top facilities Friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel staff
There wasn't anything I didn't like
Great rooftop bar and pool
Car park underground expensive and needs updating
Short walking distance from trains, shops, promenade and restaurants. Twenty minutes from airport. Trains to Cannes, Monaco etc very frequent and not expensive.
Nineteen euro breakfast a rip off.
Roof swimming pool and whirlpool.
Hotel category 4* does reflect the reality, old furniture, low standard of bathroom and room is too small.
The only clean and new in the hotel was a bathroom....
Everything was quite old in the room and in the hotel. Even the rail on a balcony was rusty. They never clean the balcony during our 8 days staying. On our last night around 3 am suddenly water started running from the ceiling right in the middle of the room... It was just a few mins but very heavely. The concierge came and told us if it happend again he would gave us another room..
rooms good, staff good - I always stay here when I'm in Nice
No ant-slip mats provided in bath/shower No drinking water provided gratis Breakfast was very poor standard (overcooked eggs, sausage & bacon both inedible!) The hotel bad requires a re-furbishment
We were supposed to have a deluxe room but I would have not called room 725 deluxe both the room and the bathroom were very tired and in need of refurbishing, we were disturbed at night by the bar which was immediately above the room
Not enough beds at pool . People puttint towels on neds to reserve then .. and some not even use .. paid a lot of money and were not able to use pool .and sun beds
