Location of the hotel is splendid! Room faces the Mediterranean Sea. We were disappointed at the attitude of stuff at breakfast. She got into a snit whenever we couldn't understand French. We hope they hire someone who can understand English, because people visit to Nice from all over the world.

This was the fifth year that we have stayed at Hotel Swiss. What we like best is the location (just a short walk from the old town of Nice), the amazing view over the Bay of Angels, and the friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked a room for next year at the same time! Suggest booking a traditional sea view room on the third floor. The view alone is worth the price. This room has a French balcony, which allows you to open the floor to ceiling windows and step outside for fresh air. The more costly superior sea view rooms have a full balcony with table and chairs, but we find this is not worth the additional cost, as we do not spend much time in our room.

This was our first visit to Nice and the Hotel Suisse was in the perfect location to explore the city. The hotel itself is light and airy, perfectly situated at the end of the Bay of Angels. We had a top floor Privelidge Room with a private balcony and can honestly say it is the best hotel room we have stayed in. The view across the bay and across the rooftops of the city were exceptional. We were within yards of the beach, the remains of the chateau on the hill (known as the Tour Belanda) and a lovely stroll from the port. The old town restaurants and stalls of the flower market were also on the doorstep so for location, the Hotel is perfect. The staff were excellent, friendly and quick to respond to any issue (not that we had any! The only thing we requested was a taxi back to the airport!), but it is the location overlooking the bay that is the main attraction. We celebrated our wedding anniversary whilst there and we received a bottle of complimentary champagne in our room on arrival, which was a lovely gesture, and was certainly enjoyed whilst sitting on the balcony watching the sun setting! A gorgeous, glorious hotel in a gorgeous and glorious city. We will definitely return and cannot recommend this hotel enough. Perfect! Thank you for giving us such lovely memories.

Excellent location and views, very professional and friendly staff. WiFi is not available in rooms, only at the lobby level. Breakfast is no too rich, I expected more for 15 euro.

Hotel Suisse is a quiet yet efficiently managed hotel. It has very much the atmosphere of a family-run hotel. The staff are polite and friendly and the view of the headland and seashore is beautiful. To be recommended.

The views from Hotel Suisse are spectacular. Its location is excellent...easy walking distance to the market, Old Nice, and the Promenade. The staff members are friendly, efficient, and helpful. We only stay here when we visit Nice.

The view is spectacular from this hotel and you can walk to a multitude of attractions and restaurants. Our room was large by European hotel standards as was the well appointed bathroom. Some of the staff was extremely professional and helpful, others not so much. But we would most definitely stay here again!

The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Our rooms were very clean and the views were amazing. The location of the hotel is ideal for either the beach/harbour or the old quarter(where the restraunts are). Would definately recommend. Only down side was the lack of tea/coffee in the room, and the price of coffee and breakfast in the morning. Though there are plenty of places near by to get these.

Room - 32 - was very good: large with two windows onto Baie des Anges and an impressive bathroom where you could lie in the bath and gaze on same! Fairly freshly decorated in muted tones. No real facilities; decor in reception was not welcoming - looked like a Sindy doll's house with all the lilacs and pinks in reception. Reception staff not the best - dark haired hectoring receptionist issuing instructions as if we'd never stayed in a hotel before! We found ourselves creeping back in hoping she wasn't there! Had originally booked for 5 nights - but reduced this to 3 before travelling when the lack of facilities became clear.

Good location - a short walk from the Old Town. Good Reception staff. Very clean hotel. Our only slight grouse was that on one night there was a very loud band playing on the front very close to the hotel - it was very noisy till quite late.

Overall I was disappointed but the view from the room was lovely I couldn't sleep due to the noise from the road The room was too hot and the air-con was not functioning as it was Oct / Nov and when we asked for a fan we were told that none was available, we couldn't open the window because the noise from the road was very loud. While the view from the window is lovely, it is difficult to sit out on the balcony and enjoy it as the noise from the road below is loud and irritating.

Great location just a few minutes from Cours Saleya and with excellent view from balcony. Double glazing helped to keep out traffic noise. Spacious, well equipped bathroom. Couldn't have windows open because of traffic noise so room was quite warm.

The hotel was clean and most members of staff, excluding one, were friendly. The location was good for the Cours Saleya markets, other shopping and walking on the Promenade and also for view of the Baie des Anges. Member of reception staff who greeted us on arrival was too abrupt and very rude. Not a good start to our week's stay. Very noisy hotel - noise from traffic, noise from group of homeless people (drinking and fighting) camped across the street from the hotel, noise from renovations going on at hotel. Needless to say, it was not explained at the time of booking that there would be renovations ongoing. Breakfast very poor - cold coffee, not good patisserie and not good value at 15 euros per person. For an Exclusive Boutique Hotel on the Cote d'Azur and for the prices charged, I thought the experience was disappointing.

Good location, can see the sea and 2 min walk to center and all restaurants and bars. This Hotel is definitely Overrated. Not all the rooms in one category are the same and the room we got (10) was definitely not worth what we paid for it. Was just a tiny room at 1st floor with a window in the corner throug which you could see the sea indeed from certain angles when sitting in the bed (168Eur/night). The window and the walls were not sound proof at all so we could hear everything the neighbour room was doing and also all the noise in the street (lots of very noisy motocycles, scooters and trucks) as in front of the hotel there is a very busy street and there is trafic all night making sleeping a chalenge. Breakfast at 15eur was poor only warm thing was bolied egg and tea/coffe. Getting in and out was also very difficult trough the tiny narrow stear case or elevator for max 2 pers. Lots of garbadge bags stored on the hallway at cleaning time (most of the day).
