This was the fifth year that we have stayed at Hotel Swiss. What we like best is the location (just a short walk from the old town of Nice), the amazing view over the Bay of Angels, and the friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked a room for next year at the same time! Suggest booking a traditional sea view room on the third floor. The view alone is worth the price. This room has a French balcony, which allows you to open the floor to ceiling windows and step outside for fresh air. The more costly superior sea view rooms have a full balcony with table and chairs, but we find this is not worth the additional cost, as we do not spend much time in our room.

This was our first visit to Nice and the Hotel Suisse was in the perfect location to explore the city. The hotel itself is light and airy, perfectly situated at the end of the Bay of Angels. We had a top floor Privelidge Room with a private balcony and can honestly say it is the best hotel room we have stayed in. The view across the bay and across the rooftops of the city were exceptional. We were within yards of the beach, the remains of the chateau on the hill (known as the Tour Belanda) and a lovely stroll from the port. The old town restaurants and stalls of the flower market were also on the doorstep so for location, the Hotel is perfect. The staff were excellent, friendly and quick to respond to any issue (not that we had any! The only thing we requested was a taxi back to the airport!), but it is the location overlooking the bay that is the main attraction. We celebrated our wedding anniversary whilst there and we received a bottle of complimentary champagne in our room on arrival, which was a lovely gesture, and was certainly enjoyed whilst sitting on the balcony watching the sun setting! A gorgeous, glorious hotel in a gorgeous and glorious city. We will definitely return and cannot recommend this hotel enough. Perfect! Thank you for giving us such lovely memories.

Location has to be the best in Nice. Balcony and view terrific. Staff very friendly and helpful Personally, we like tea-making facilities in the room, which it did not have. Also the room, though very nice and with a good bathroom, was rather small. Also noisy but double glazing very effectivre in keeping it out, when french windows closed.

The room was beautifully decorated and furnished. Parking is not available at this hotel and is very expensive closest lot. I paid an average of 34 Euro per night. The Internet connection in the room was exceedingly poor. It proved impossible to watch any video clips including YouTube. Also on my last (second) morning I was unable to even get online from my room.

I read the reviews. I looked at the photos on the website. Nothing however prepares you for the impact of that view!!!!!!! I had a lovely room on the third floor with twin Juliet balconies and a sweeping view of the Baie des Anges. Unobstructed sunsets. Very easy walk to the old town with its fantastic food, flower and, on Mondays, antique markets. All the restaurants are a short walk away. Excellent transportation system in Nice with buses and trams that will take you up to 74 min. In any one direction for 1 euro. Breakfast was good and plentiful, either in the room or in the lobby. Very warm welcome and help with my bags from the lady manager. I will not stay anywhere else in Nice in future. Minor consideration for those who cannot live without internet access. The free WiFi in the room kept timing out which required logging on again and again. This minor nuisance could be overcome by ' tweaking ' the system. There is a desktop computer near the bar that works fine.

I found the hotel to my own expectations. Beautiful view from the window of the room and cleanliness are other good points. Very near to the old town. The reception staff was smiling and helpful. The comparison between the price and service was perfect...

No car parking at hotel. We were warned of this when booking so were not surprised, but we were disappointed that leaving the car overnight in the nearest carpark cost the same as a full day - ie 26 Euros.

Everytime I stay at this hotel I feel at ease. It's location close to the "old town" with all restaurants/bars and shopping is perfect. The view from the room everytime you wake up - the best start on a new day! The rooms are nice decorated and always tidy.

The Hotel Suisse combines the perfect location with comfortable rooms, friendly staff, a delicious breakfast. My wife and I always stay at this hotel and plan to return there again next year. Each year we like it better and are happier with our choice. The only thing that I would change is the reading lamp on the wall by the bed. It would be better if it were more modern so that it really offered better light for reading at night.

I was apprehensive to stay here after reading some bad reviews on trip advisor but the view looked too good to miss. I booked and this is one of the top hotels I have stayed at in the 85 countries I have visited. Very friendly staff, rooms were clean and a fresh smell in the room Beds were comfortable and the view was stunning HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!

The location and view were excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. No wifi in the rooms and no kettle to make tea. Breakfast was a little pricey - but nearby other restaurants - so chose to eat outside of the hotel.

The view to the bay was extraordinary and the Privilege room is bifg and comfortable, with a lovely balcony. Expensive for low season and three star hotel. Not even including breakfast in the price. The old rule of check-outs at 12 should be mandatory. There's no reason to throw out customers at 11.

Overall I was disappointed but the view from the room was lovely I couldn't sleep due to the noise from the road The room was too hot and the air-con was not functioning as it was Oct / Nov and when we asked for a fan we were told that none was available, we couldn't open the window because the noise from the road was very loud. While the view from the window is lovely, it is difficult to sit out on the balcony and enjoy it as the noise from the road below is loud and irritating.
