Everything we expected from an economical two star hotel. Room was kept spotless during our stay. Good position for city visit. Reception staff very helpful. Only problem we had was that we were not told which machine in the car park to insert our ticket to get reduced rate parking. We got a free parking for the last day of our stay but still ended up paying more than we would have done had we been told properly how to use the parking tickets issued by the hotel. If we visit Strasbourg in future we will stay at the Victoria Hotel again.

The Victoria is a great hotel conveniently located just blocks away from the train station. The staff always were eager to help and greeted you with a smile. The room wand clean and the bath even had a full size tub. We highly recommend this hotel and will stay here in the future when we return.

Nothing Horrible hotel, never go there. The facilitites were very old fashioned and there were no normal working hot showers. When we complained about that we were offered two new rooms with again no working hot shower because 'a lot of people had taken a shower that day'. The hotelier treated us very rude, he called us liars and started shouting at us when we told him we did not accept a room without a normal hot shower. Finally we left because of this treatment. At home we discovered they charged us the full amount for the room.

Not far away from both centre and the railway station. Small rooms, but neat and quiet. Very friendly staff. First we were given a room with no hot water, only after several complaints they gave us another one. Bath is extremely small. Still a good quality for a two star hotel.

Located very close to the railway station, and an easy walk to the attractions in town. Lots of bars, restaurants and services nearby. From the corner the building looks like something from an "visit France" poster. People at front desk were very informative. Room was very quiet The room needs a new mattress....our had us rolling into the middle and not getting a very good night;s sleep

The room is quite big, furnished with bath and very good for it's price. The staff is polite and helpful. The perfect location - near the trainstation and to the old citi center but rather quite. No hairdryer in the room

Hotel is near to the railway station. Staff are very friendly. Decent breakfast buffet. Free wifi throughout hotel which worked well. Room was too hot, so had to open window at night, and the street side is very noisy. Even though I had asked for a quiet room, I didn't get one. It made sleeping difficult. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. I'm glad I was on my own -- if that was a double bed I can't imagine sharing it with someone else because of its size!

The staff were very pleasant and helpful and overall for a low priced 2 star hotel it was fine and very clean. Location was excellent, could easily walk into the centre of Strasbourg within 5 mins but was also only 5 mins from the train station. Didn't sample the breakfast but there were plenty of places around to get breakfast. Would recommend for a short break. The rooms were a little warm and if you had window open you could hear the noise from the street.

Very well situated between the train station and the town center. Staff very polite and friendly. Room basic but adequate. Corridor in front of the room smelt a bit musty and was in need of refurbishment. Room quite small. Room not very cosy.

The staff were really friendly and helped to make sure I found my way around the city. It is also reassuring having a night porter. My room was facing the main street which runs from the station to the city centre and the noise through the night was really bad. At one point a fight was breaking out which scared me. When I mentioned the noise level to the staff they didn't seem to think this is a problem. Also there are a disproportionate number of homeless people begging in Strasbourg and this is upsetting.

“The apartment is literally a stone's throw away from the train station, making it very easy to get to and fro the station. The room was very large and spacious and the toilet was pretty clean too. The reception spoke very good English (and a whole host of other languages, e.g. Spanish). For the price we paid, it is definitely something we would recommend to others visiting Strasbourg. We had a small kitchen in the room, but we didn't use it at all (they had crockeries and utensils provided). The reception is also open 24 hours.” Erik, Glasgow |
