The one way system in Montpellier made it very difficult to get to by car
I had booked via bookings.com so the hotel already had my credit card details in case I did not arrive and failed to cancel. We arrived around 10 pm that evening. I was asked for a credit card pre-authorization of Euro 500. Despite several attempts the credit card authorization would not go through. I was then told that I need to provide Euro 500 in cash (who carries that sort of money on them?) or I will not be given a room. This, despite having a confirmed reservation. There was zero willingness to assist the customer. I asked for a manager but no-one was available or could be called. The manager was only available at 10:00 am the next day. An attempt to discuss this with her was a waste of time. Both the check-in clerk and the manager were insistent that the problem lies at my end and were completely closed to the customer's predicament. I was repeatedly told this is policy. There was no willingness to investigate whether the problem is at their end. Upon returning home, I immediately contacted my bank. My bank could see the attempted transactions and advised that the problem actually lay with the card readers at the hotel that weren't reading the chip in my credit card. There are no restrictions on my credit card and there are more than adequate funds available. I have used the credit card since without any difficulties.
+ excellent location, with 3 tramway lines in front of the hotel bringing you everywhere + easy parking under the hotel at a good price + good breakfast, above average in France, with good selection of hot and cold food + excellent bed + no noise from the outside + good furniture for working + free WiFi
- WiFi security is so strict that you need to logout and login multiple times - staff does not even know the exact phone number to call the room from the outside - safe in the room was not working
Comfortable and quiet bed-room, very good restaurant.
The location was very good... Very access able with the tram station just outside...
No English channels on tv and no provision of water for the guests!
Very easy to reach by tram. Lovely area. Cafe's nearby.
On arrival there was a mix up with the rooms we had booked. The other members of our party did not get the room reserved 3 months prior to our holiday. The one given was unsatisfactory. Also a problem getting tv and wifi switched on.
This hotel does not have a spa you can use, do not be fooled this is just to attract you, the lady looking after the spa locks the door so you cannot go in when you want, perhaps this is a place used for sleeping but for sure it is not free and open to use, shower leak and water goes everywhere, totally overpriced and a terrible hotel, do not stay here.
Room was large, with nice design, clean and silent.
a few details. I would have appreciated a menu and bar prices in the room rather than advertisement for a hair dresser. Water pressure in the shower was weak.
-room size -location -check in and out -quietness
-parking is a pain -mattress not Marriott like -cleanliness of bath room -login to wifi and speed
Good location with excellent connection to tram system and rest of city.
Bar staff had lack of knowledge of both advertised spirits and cocktails. Rented car sat nav did not recognise location where hotel is situated.
Spacy room, large & very comfortable bed, good cuisine, coffee machine in the room, full and tasty breakfast, covenient location. Couldn't ask for more.
Good modern hotel, central location. Easy access from the highway.
Location Parking Facilities
Clean, good staff, all spoke English, pool was quite nice
ordered a croque monsieur which was 16 Euros and it was terrible, soggy chips with it, overall the menu was extremely pricey for the standard. There was a business conference of some sort on and the hotel was just over run with people which made our family feel like we had just walked into a work setting, they also stood outside the hotel smoking and blocking the walkway for other guests. It may be one to avoid for families.
the location is realy easy to find and convenient for all tramways. The restaurant is also quite nice, I like the steak there, recommand!
The spa is bit too hot, but still good
Everything you would expect from that chain for that price. Clean, quiet, good beds, nice bathroom, etc...
The pool area is ridiculous! Very small and not enough sunbeds for the size of the hotel. No pool bar.
Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Pool area a real bonus
We asked the hotel to book us a cab for our return to the airport but one of the staff forgot to do this which almost resulted in us missing our flight
Everything was absolutely amazing. Very helpful staff who all spoke perfect English, and had some great recommendations on where to go, not just in Montpellier, but also for the rest of our holiday. The rooms are spacious, and the bed very comfy. The on site restaurant has food that is to die for. Make sure you eat there at least once. The hotel is located next to the town hall and sits in a little plaza/square with a hairdersser next door, a bakery and several cafes next door making it really handy. The tram stop to the city is just outside the hotel and it takes about 10mins to get into town. The hotel pool is gorgeous.
The building was clean and friendly
Modern great bar good location
Using a key in elevator a was a pain in the a**. Also slow internet due old router.
The baconys where not good ugly and not private
Rooms were spacious and air conditioned. The staff was always helpful. Tram lines were just outside the hotel and easy to navigate.
It was a little out of the way of things with only a few dining options nearby.
Bad access to car park which is very expensive, 18eur per night. Location is not ideal, but trams are around. Wifi was super slow.
The staff were very helpful and welcoming
The food in the restaurant was poorly cooked and the breakfast was over priced
