Huttopia Versailles  

Great Location and nice facilities. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Grounds needed to be kept up a little better. Mattresses were very uncomfortable! Dissappointed that the pool was open but we were not allowed to use it?!

Loved our stay here - we had one of the caravans which could have been bigger. Fine for the two of us but would be claustrophobic with 4 people esp if the weather was bad. A small supermarket holding basics would have been welcome as the nearest one was a good walk away. Perfectly placed for Versailles only a mile down the road where parking was easy. Nice family atmosphere with a good sized if unheated pool. Snacks available until 8pm which was good. We would upgrade to a larger hut next time if we tried a different site while travelling through France.

Not really a complaint but a small supermarket would have been welcome selling bread , milk and basics.

It was very well placed for discovering Versailles/Paris by bus, train or walking. Huttopia Versailles was relaxed with available food, drink, books, games & swimming pool. It was just right for what we wanted. They were even flexible about us arriving late.

On balance there wasn't anything as it was a short stay

Convenient location for visits to Versailles and Paris using public transport. Nice family atmosphere.

Very close proximity to Paris. Value for money. Liked the campsite environment very much.

There was a very unpleasant smell in the cabane throughout our stay. Initailly we thought it had been caused by a cat or other pet. However, it appears the smell was due to a chronic water leak as the shower tray overflowed flooding the bathroom and kitchen floors.The accomodation looks a little tired and in need of refurbishment. That said it was clean and just ok for a very short stay.

Staff was very nice and spoke English. Very close to train station to get to Paris. Loved being able to rent bikes to take to Versailles. Would recommend this place to friends unless they are looking for more luxurious accommodations and want to spend more money.

I understand that air conditioning isn't standard in Europe, but it would have been nice to have it in the Gypsy Caravan. In America, we have similar campgrounds, but the cabins have heat and air conditioning which makes the rooms very comfortable. I also thought the accommodations were a bit expensive, but I'm used to American prices (probably about $60/night for a similar accommodation). Still, much more affordable than a hotel near Versailles.

The atmosphere was terrific. If you are looking for a family fun trip to a great location, Huttopia Versailles is the place for you. The outdoor pool was a hit with the kids and the restaurant/family area was great! There was an abundance of items supplied in our cabin and it was very spacious.

I was not a big fan of having to clean the cabin ourselves prior to checkout, but it was a camp ground after all not a hotel. :)

Everything about the place

The camp site is well laid out. Very friendly and helpful staff. The cabin is adaquete for a stay, its basic and we found the mattress's for the beds very thin we also had to ask for extra pillows but overall we thought it was excellant value for money. The location is excellant with buses and trains a short walk away and also supermarkets. The immediate area is short on places to eat but again the supermarket has everything you need. The site is in a lovely setting and very quiet generally. Would recommend.

The beds were very basic and the mattress's were very thin and quite hard. We also had to ask for extra pillows but were not given pillow cases for those. There is a micro wave but no oven or toaster so you cannot cook a proper meal or beans on toast. The shower did fluctuate with the tempreture but again this is a camp site so we expected that. We had to change our train time because we couldn't check out until after 8 A.M. and the cabin had to be inspected but this process was fast and easy.
