Location... Staff... Carefour around the corner
No air con on 90 degree day...
located fairly conveniently near the station, well sound proofed
quite close to the red light district, with its associated late night activities
Ibis hotels claim they emphasize a good night's sleep. They came through - it was a great place to sleep. Very comfortable bed and very quiet, even though it was on a busy street adjacent to the train station. Convenient to the station, and walking distance to the heart of the old town.
Pretty rudimentary food options - just microwaved dishes. The room was barely big enough for the bed. Odd shower layout - impossible to not flood the floor. Not located in the best part of Bordeaux.
The bed was awesome! Carefour market just behind the corner. Near the train station. Very gentle and helpful reception desk crew. Great Quality to Price ratio.
5 mins distance to the tram stop. A bit devastated vicinity: empty buildings, broken windows, rubbish on pavements didn't make me to feel secure.
Decent but less than ok
Location which was a bit shady part of the city. The room was not clean - ok if you pay 50 EUR per night but the average is well before 70? I have been in much nicer Ibis hotels in other countries/cities which I have been able to recommend.
Staff was helpful
Location- To arrive to this Ibis you need to go down an rather empty street apart from prostitutes and beggars that were around at night. Would never expect an Ibis to be in such a place. Moreover, there are 2 other Ibis hotels closer to the station and that avoid you having to walk down this street of who comes from the train station
The location, breakfast and comfortable bed.
No tea or coffee facilities in the rooms
Very friendly and very helpful staff.
Really nice hotel. Quite close to the tramline. The hotel is approx. 3 stops away from the city centre and a tram ticket cost €1.50. Get off at st Croix and the hotel entrance is about 80m walk facing the quays . The staff are ultra friendly. The room was absolutely satisfactory. I witnessed the quietest air conditioning system I've ever encountered! There are two options for wifi. One which costs nothing and the other is high speed for a small cost. The room was spotless and despite being close to the train station I heard nothing. My room 321 was facing onto an interior courtyard . Don't miss out on this hotel. Breakfast was also quite acceptable and varied. Would also recommend 'La Tupina café approx 90metres away heading towards Quinconces (city centre). Lovely coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and baguette with homemade marmalade.
Close to train station and tram
Very skimpy breakfast for the price. Do your self a favor and get a coffee and croissant somewhere else. Extremely small room and we only had one suitcase.
a bit too far from the centre poor location and street aspect
We came by car so we were pretty independent of public transport. There is a place for parking (in the yard of hotel - the paid one, under the bridge - for free). There is a tram station nearby, so hotel is well located. In the room you can find all necessaries to stay for 1-2 days.
As usual in french hotels the isolation is not perfect
Reasonably close to train station. Bit of a walk to the city but the tram to the city is very close. Clean, modern room. Staff very helpful.
Very nice staff and modern room.
Very clean, large room, very helpful staff, easy access to transport
The neighbourhood was a bit suspect, but transport was great
Great location, friendly staff, free wifi, hot showers, comfortable bed, good A/C
tiny room, meagre breakfast, no bath.
The Staff were so friendly and helpful
Proximity to train station
Area of bordeaux quays where situated is a bit run down...would not have liked to walk along there on my own
Very small. One power point above the WC?
Close to station. Staff. Friendly, not expensive
Very small room. Seedy area of town. Drunks, homeless floating around the area all night making quite a disturbance and actually a bit frightening walking through the. Nearby streets
All the staff were very helpful. Good location.
Only 5min walk from station once you knew which way to go
Some nightclub noise on Saturday night and cleanliness of streets the next day
location was perfect, and the staff were polite and attentive.
wifi was spotty and the breakfast selection could have been better.
The hotel's location was near the trains and was what we were looking for, since we would have to leave early to catch our train going to Paris. The rooms were small but was good enough that we still had space to move around.
