Lovely staff, comfortable, clean, practical, safe parking, good breakfast, supermarket & restaurants next door, 10 minutes easy drive to Caen center.
Breakfast and location of hotel
Couldnt get to my room b4 midday after travelling overnight on ferry. Arrived 7am....nowhere to go...i was really tired
The lady owner, her son & staff were all extremely helpfull, always available. They made my 3 week stay much better.
Good value and clean.
Far from middle of town.
Fantastic buffet breakfast no limit on what you could eat ,freindly and helpfull staff ,clean and comfey room great nights sleep very quite location would use again
Location is on the outskirts of caen very good for motoway lynxs if you have a car if no car its a taxi in to caen as no visible public transport lynx in to caen taxi price 11 euros
calm, friendly & helpfull staff, supermarket & restaurants close by. free secure parking.
This is a good place to stay, clean, friendly staff, easy to get to, value for money breakfast, excellent places to eat nearby.
Nothing to dislike.
clean nice room, good beds, quiet place, supermarket nearby
receptionist speaking only french, no effort to friendly comunication, little bit complicated to get by public transport
Good booking in speed ,hotel position and security .
Trying to book in after standard hours did not work well ( hotel had been contacted prior to arrival )
+ location of the hotel, near to the Caen Memorial or Beaches of Normandy +accessible from the motorway +fine relation of price/quality
More in common with a youth hostel than a hotel
We could arrive late, good to have a family room. A good selection was available for breakfast.
near to the port. quiet setting
complicated entry after normal hours, almost impossible if not French speaker. Booking.com should make sure people have the six figure entry code, took us 30 minutes to gain entry.
A good value budget hotel in an ideal location for onward travel, the ferry port or local sightseeing. We had a three bed room, for an overnight stay before our early ferry journey to the UK the next morning. After the initial hiccup of not being able to get access during unmanned reception hours, because Booking.com had not sent my six digit code, we waited for reception to open. We were dealt with promptly and got into our room quickly. A good basic clean room, great for one or a couple of nights. Cheap and clean, so can't fault it. Did not have the breakfast so could not comment. Good location near a couple of restaurants and a supermarket. Would stay again for the price.
Not one thing the person there laid to us about having air and it was being fixed not true they told You that the repair man was on his way to fix it and then we were told there was no air conditioning at all Not a very good place would give it ten thumbs down we did not stay there and no fans
Not one thing about the place
Could have done with an extra stool in room
Fire alarm went off just as we were falling asleep at 10pm which wasnt turned off for about 10 minutes then at 130am it went off again. The rooms were far too hot which meant sleep was very difficult
Good value for money. Clean. Comfortable room.
The reception is not open 24/24. Found it difficult to drive into the downtown area.
I will be fair in saying that the cost, location, comfort, room and breakfast were okay and bearing in mind that it only cost 60euros inclusive of breakfast, then pretty good value. However, we then come to the staff......
The lady that managed the hotel is by far the rudest, ill tempered person I have met in many hotels that I have stayed at. I appreciate that she did not want breakfast taken to our room (which we complied with) yet for her to start banging on our door followed by pushing herself into our room looking for an elusive breakfast tray was a bit too much! Add to that my little lad (age 5) was really upset by her attitude and having just gotten out of the shower, I wasn't exactly ready for unexpected guests. After dressing I confronted her in the lobby/breakfast area where she acknowledged that we had done nothing wrong as she had found the 'tray' yet despite me telling her that her behaviour was totally inappropriate, it turned out that she believed I was the terrible guest!! You pay your money, take your chances yet wild horses would not take me back to this IBIS!!
We liked that the hotel was in walking distance from the Caen Memorial. Also had good restaurant and grocery store right there.
It was no frills. But that was fine.
No AC, ground floor, can't leave window open/security, very little air flow, very hot, hard to sleep for lack of airflow.
No wi Fi no kettle in room towels were like dish cloths toilet like aircraft reception closed 9 pm as gates close elderly or infirm people would have great difficulty gaining access. Not signed properly on road. It was an experience I'd rather not repeat
Can park just outside, great wifi, clean rooms.
Very small shower cubicle!! Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room.
Security of the hotel and ease to find
The 3rd bed in the triple room had not been made. This was very poor and we did not feel like making it ourselves after a long day traveling.
The coded room key, the free parking, the distance to Caen memorial and shops, the room and the bathroom were clean.
The location was not easy to find. Those who arrive later might have problems to enter the hotel as booking.com did not provide with a 6 digit code.
