Clean, quite comfortable, quiet and very reasonably priced.
People in hotel who like to slam doors at all hours
The location of the hotel was perfect for the 6 hour drive to Bergerac (convienient for an overnight stay. The room was quiet, normally the ibis budgets are on a main road. This hotel had a secure carpark, which was great as my car was loaded with gifts from the UK.
The beds are not comfortable, the shower was powerful and hot, but it was secured so tightly to the wall and at such an angle, that it was dfficult to shower comfortably.
location close to motorway Value for money Very helpful staff at about 2:30 at night
close to the A 11. close to the Chartres Center. Good value for money
very difficult to find, even with GPS. I stopped off at another IBIS hotel close by to ask how to get there
reception 24 hours (we came at 4am after a wedding) good range in wifi
room easy to find area bar food etc
daft room key code pad did not work
Wifi was excellent. Secure Parking a huge comfort
Rooms very small, even for a budget. Noise from other rooms, above and adjacent made for a disturbed sleep. Only 1 large towel and one hand towel between 2 people.
one of our group M. Wilkes left a bag at the Chartres Ibis Budget and is having a real problem getting it returned to him..Surely you have a procedure for returning Lost Property ?...Please give this your urgent attention...Thank You !
We decided to break our journey to the south of france with a stay at Chartres, the Hotel was clean and had plenty of safe parking. I would use it again .
The hotel only had very limited catering, mainly vending machines.
Price and location
Rooms were adequate, inexpensive.
Difficult to find, manager unfriendly, location between two major roads made it noisy.
It was safe. The shower was good.
First room we were allocated hadn't been cleaned or bed done. And a terrible smell of cigarette smoking. Second one horribly tight, a small second bed on top of the double bed and an immovable ladder on the side. Kept on knocking my head with the ladder.Window without netting, so we couldn't leave it open, it was very hot and stiffling, as it is summer now. No kettle, or a small tray with dry coffee, tea bags and sugar. No tea cups or teaspoons. We get all this from Travelodge. Only two bath towels of a very small size, no hand towels. The cost was higher than what we pay for Travelodge in GB, getting all that, spottlesly clean, great staff and more space. If I moved my husband had to sit on the bed. We didn't expect a large bathroom, but this one was really tight. Took us over one hour to find the place! No proper directions in your agreement. It takes more than the map reading. We had driven from England in one stretch, and hoped to arrive and have time to rest before we prepared for a fair at Chartres-Expo, and wasted our time driving around trying desperately to find the place. Not even the other Ibis staff gave us clear instructions. The system to open the door was too clumsy. There are other systems which are safe, and less messy to open the door. We were glad to had to stay only one night. This is definitely no value for money. Also the location, there are no facilities around Ibis, no cafeterias, no supermarket, no reasonably priced eating places. The only one next to Ibis was too expensive. Will not come back.
Staff was a bit cool and unfriendly.
Overall for the price, this hotel was perfectly adequate for our needs.
The bathroom needed a little maintenance to make it a better experience. There was a crack in the shower head which meant the water sprayed straight over the curtain onto the toilet seat!
Convenience and cost.
Noisy and inconsiderate guests shouting and behaving badly at 3am. Then noisy and inconsiderate guests talking loudly early in the morning as they were leaving. Hardly slept at all.
the staff were friendly. the room was clean
the location, between two busy roads therefor a lot of road noise. It was impossible to have a shower without an overspill onto to the laminate surround making it very slippery. The couple next door getting up at 4.45 am , banging doors, flushing toilets and generally making a deal of noise. Why not include in the original booking " time of departure" and then group all such early risers in the same area?
