The hotel Borel in Dunkerque is situated in front of the harbor in the center of the city and around the shops and restaurants.
Score from 213 reviews Very good
Clean and tidy, very good location.
Arrived late and pleased with lack of hassle. Staff very helpful.
The room was clean. parking good. Positioning fine.
Room was small and very loud man in the yard outside in the early hours of Monday morning.
There was nothing I did not like about the hotel. Room was clean and tidy with the temperature in the room at night about right. The bed was very comfortable due to an excellent mattress 'topper'. Breakfast was good, meals were very good. Staff were all very helpful and cheerful.
Only one beer on tap. Although the bottled beer was pleasant, it was far too 'youthful' to be enjoyed as a 'drink'. Apart from that minor point, nothing.
When booking this Ibis I knew roughly what to expect upon arrival and it was a nice clean, comfy environment. As you walk out the main doors, turn right and head 5 minutes up the road towards the harbour and go to L'Edito if you're after food, don't bother with the hotel's restaurant.
Price of the parking underground, bearing in mind the French can't park a car properly. Luckily i got away without a scratch but it's very tight and a lot of cars down there had classic marks and dents suggesting their owners can't drive a vehicle with any form of competence.
The location for services
Why why why is there no tea or coffee maker. It's not expensive so come on please
not allowed a 2nd key to a twin room.
Everything. . NB: Our room was rather small, so perfect for quick stop overnight, but wouldn't want to spend days in it :)
The hotel is situated in the center and it is very convenient to go for a walk and visit the town. There is a nice cafe nearby. The service at the hotel is very good.
Service Location Breakfast
the staff at this hotel were excellent
Comfy bed, great shower
Useful to have a car park, but a challenge to get in and out of!
Very clean, good central location. Secure parking ( including bicycles! ) Nice breakfast for little extra cost
Nothing really to comment
Very handy for a city break. Secure car parking.
The decoration could do with freshening up.
The comfy beds
Food was expensive but that is the same at a lot of hotels
The room was very comfortable and the shower had plenty of room. The food was excellent in the restaurant The location was good
The curtains had to be closed all the time due to privacy reasons
Standard IBIS Hotel. Good food ( nice portions) and a good breakfast. Clean comfortable room, excellent wifi.
No free parking. You either park on the street or pay 10 Euros to park in their secure car park. This isn't obvious on the booking.com page. And I don't think you should have to pay more to park in a Hotel.
Friendly staff. 24hr reception. Nice breakfast
Nothing at this price. Room clean. Location good. On street parking outside or around corner within 50m.
Rooms were clean, hotel well positioned for visiting Dunkirk.
Rooms although clean were rather shabby & in need of some modernisation.
Room clean with good en-suite. Price.
Lack of air-con on a hot night made it uncomfortable. Curtains didn't close properly and so were overlooked. hotel generally a bit tired looking.
Good location,clean comfortable room
We were there for just one night before travelling back to the uk it was ok for one night stay and we were able to park just round the corner for free
The hotel is quite dark and spread over a large area as we had to walk a long way to the lift which was really small
Central location and friendly staff that gave us a discount, because 1 of the 2rooms was not clean (hair on the floor in main room and bathroom). Good bathrooms taking into account the limited size/room available.
1. You see and feel everywhere, that the last refurbishment is approximately 4-5 years back (acc to Michelin 2011) and the next refurbishment is more than overdue. 2. 1 of 2 rooms was not clean (hair on the floor in main room and bathroom) and the door handle (room 303) was loose. 3. Not enough parking space for Hotel guests.
Location, helpful staff and good breakfast
No air con and hot at night
