The location was very good if you are travelling by train as Gare du Nord is 5 mins walk away.
My wife didn't like most things in the hotel. Here's her review. Our stay at Ibis Gare du Nord was dis satisfactory, to say the least. Once we got into our room, I was quite surprised with how little space we had. As we live in the UK, we are quite used to small rooms but this was abnormally tiny. My husband and I had trouble walking around the room. Little did we know that this would be least of our problems. The first night, the air conditioner worked just fine but the second, my spouse and I both had trouble sleeping. It is such a let-down especially when you have limited amount of time to see the city that you can’t even catch up on sleep. We had complained about the air conditioner on our second day and apparently an engineer did come and fix it. However, the third night we couldn’t notice a difference and were so frustrated and tired due to lack of sleep. The staff throughout the hotel was so rude and unfriendly. I know customer service is not France’s forte but it seemed like we were staying there for free. That’s how we were treated. Also, on our last day, the house keeping just opened our front door without even knocking or asking if anyone was in. My spouse was changing then and I was fumed as the hotel consistently disappointed us in every way possible. I really enjoyed my time in Paris with my husband but this hotel was a huge hitch in our trip. All in all, for the love of God, please don’t book this hotel.
Although not in a particularly salubrious area of Paris, the hotel is convenient for Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est and one of the few I could find below £100. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable and the evening meal and breakfast both acceptable. Staff were notably helpful.
The toilet/shower, although clean and working, was very tired. The shower leaked badly onto the floor, the toilet seat was loose, and paint was peeling in several places.
Location was just perfect for us ten minutes away from Gare du Nord - convinient for buses, underground and Eurostar. Fairly close to the central of Paris by walk. Room- cleaned daily. Polite service in the reception.
It had a lot of shops around which made getting stuff like food, toiletries etc very easy. Also, it is a walking distance from the Gare de Nord station and access to the bus 42 from the station made movement around Paris quite affordable.
The TV channels had only the international news stations , others were strictly french speaking. I was unable to watch tv as a result of the language barrier.
Close to train station. Wifi worked very well. Staff was friendly.
Shower was tiny and did not drain well.
Near the metro and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room had a good bed and a nice and clean bathroom.
It smelled like someone had smoked in the room.
Staff and room service are poor.
Good clean rooms and good value for money
Nothing to report
The hotel itself is a good one.
Bathroom pipes stink a little bit.
-Location -Staff -Cleanness, because the Hotel accepts animals I had a severe allergy. -Very small and old rooms, needing painting, repairs and replacement of the carpet sucks. -It promises breakfast with the reservation and then in the reception they ask for a big extra cost, saying it was not include. -Photos of the rooms in the main page of the Hotel as nothing to do with the real ones. -Corridors are awful. -Very expensive. -Poorest then a Hostel. - In sum it was the worst Hotel I ever been.
Great Hotel for what we paid and make sure you pay for the breakfast, very good value for the price for Paris
Location, accesible to metro and train. The breakfast is good for the price.
Very small room. Very small beds. Not so clean.
Location Staff speaks English
Noise. It seems like walls made from paper- you can hear when people come, when they leave and every single word.
small size..less facility
location and car park
old sock left under the bed!!
