The Escale Oceania Saint-Malo is on the seafront, facing the Sillon Beach. It has modern rooms, a sunny outdoor terrace and 24 hour-a-day food service.

Convenient free parking.
Too far from from old town but then parking would not have been easy. Was only overnighting before morning ferry to Portsmouth and hotel was fine for that. Arrived day early and staff coped fine with that.
Great location (10 min from the city center), very comfortable bed, nice room, great sea views
We decided to stay another night, checked the price on Booking.com - it was 48 euro per night, but the lady at the reception told us 70 euro per night and suggested to move to another room. We didn't agree, and insisted to pay 48 and stay in same room (we have seen that a lot of rooms were available on our floor). The lady offered to move the room with sea view for 55 euro. We refused, and finally the lady agreed to extend our stay for 48 euro and let us stay in the same room. Very weird behavior. I'm glad we checked the price at Booking.com first!
Lovely staff. Breakfast was pleasant Location was great All in all a lovely little hotel for the money.
Some English channels on the TV for the evening would of been nice as i had my 10 year daughter with me. The hair dryer was very poor.
We stayed in this hotel for one night in November 2014 while visiting Brittany. The best thing about this hotel is according to me its location. It is located directly on the beach (or to be more precise on the main road neighbouring with the beach), so for example while having breakfast you have a lovely view of the sea. Furthermore, it is only 10 minutes by walking to the historical center and it is a very nice walk - you can either go on the beach or you can go on the street while enjoying the view of the beach. The room was very clean, the staff was nice, the breakfast was excellent.
There was some problem with the wifi, we were not able to send off emails or to book a hotel via booking.com. I ended up booking the hotel from the PC they have in the hotel (computer corner). But this problem was not significant, I would definitely recomment this hotel to other travellers.
Lovely bathroom, clean crisp cotton sheets, friendly staff, central for everything and on the sea front, perfect.
Pillow but brought my own feather one
All the forts and castles of St. Malo, Dinan and Dinard ...
(Bathroom could do with better ventilation - small extractor fan ?)
Lovely situation opposite the beach enjoyed hearing the sea! /Good to have secure parking.
Bedroom was rather small for two large people but good bath etc.
Great sea views from the room which was worth paying the extra money for!! Really helpful staff on the reception desk !!!
The location. The reception .The rooms. Quiet/ Breakfast good. The restaurant next door. watching the waves come over the promenade.. seriously this Ibis in St Malo is the gold standard. Can you have a better view from the front of a hotel....I doubt it.
finding somewhere to park the car but works out in the end
almost all, for a short stay, 1 or 2 nights, is perfect to visit S Malo! I suggest last floor, nice view and less traffic noises.
room too small for 2 people.
The position of the hotel, on the seafront, is very nice, with good views, and handy for the beach. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
Parking is difficult during the daytime, and we had to park a long way from the hotel. The rooms are quite cramped, and with no ventilation. It was a very hot and stuffy, and we did not sleep well. Either an AC unit, or even a fan, is needed.
good location, clean,
It was important for us to have accommodation with secure parking (we had a fully loaded bike rack) within easy travelling distance of the ferry terminal. The hotel is situated right on the seafront, and all the local restaurants and attractions are really close. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful.
Good staff. Very clean.
Very small room, nowhere to put suit cases. Very basic breakfast for the price charged.
Lovely sea view with a big window that opened right up to look out over the beach, good location halfway between the ferry and the train and the tourist district. Breakfast was also lovely and the ladies at the reception desk were extremely helpful.
Tiny, tiny, tiny room. Barely enough space for my 6'2" husband to walk around the bed.
Comfortable, clean and quiet rooms close to the old town of St Malo (about 10 minutes walk away). Lovely sea views worth paying extra for.
Walking distance from the old town. Beach just outside the hotel. The room was quite small but correct. We found a parking place for free near the hotel, but not sure if during the highest season you are able to find one.
They were doing some work on the roof, and the construction equipment was just outside our window. I also asked at the reception how early in the morning they will start working. She said that they don't start early, only around 10am. Well they arrived at 8am.
Location room and car parking.
No cups for water. Very small amount of toilet roll and no spare. Canal+ advertised but not avaiable and staff not able to resolve problem.
Easy free parking outside hotel. Position of the hotel on the sea front Easy access to the old town of st malo Lovely comfortable bed
Room a little small
Excellent location, comfortable bed and wonderful staff.
Bathroom is extra-small, we had to order floor towels, the breakfast space was very small too with lots of tables compromising the mobility in the room and tables were not clean quickly.
Very nice place to stay for a couple of days. Goood location ( right on the beach but close to the old city), clean and affordable.
Breakfast was excellent.
Garaging was expensive at 10 Euro per night.
Clean, good continental breakfast, location, short walk into town
Car Parking a nightmare. Arrive early or late as during the day there is none. However the hotel did offer parking for 10 euros a night. Small room.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable, there was free parking along the street outside the hotel (provided you are lucky to find one), it has a nice view of Plage Sillon right outside the hotel. Wifi was stable and connection was good.
The rooms were not well insulated at all. There were much noise from other guests in the corridor with their walking, talking and closing of their room doors.
