Their presentation on the internet doesn't represent the hotel in its authenticity and lead us to a mistaken choice. We expected to stay at a true design hotel, but Idéal is far from this. We wouldn't never choose Idéal if the information on the internet would be accurate. We just stayed 1 night there and moved to another hotel.

Lots of restaurants in area. Could hear everything in adjacent rooms. "Design" aspect was a joke.

The location of Metro just outside the hotel entrance is really great, although it takes some time to get to the city center. Room was nice in general There are much more things I didn't like about the hotel than what I really liked, Most concerns are about the number - it was not clean enough. The shower curtain was covered with mold and soap dispenser was broken. I asked the receptionist to replace them on our first night in hotel, and she promised to do that. As you can guess nobody really bothered to give us a normal curtain and it made the process of taking shower very unpleasant. The lift is indeed too small even for two persons, forget about the luggage. And it's VERY slow, although we were lucky enough to get into it when we needed. We spend a week there celebrating a New Year in Paris and the price for a night reached 100 euro. I believe that that amount is ridiculous for the quality you get (the hotel looks much better on advertisements than in real life). In my opinion you should not pay more than 30 euro for a double number under any circumstances.

Clean friendly and very convenient for the Metro. Quiet bedroom and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was good value with plenty to choose from. The only thing I can think of is not a good fan in the bathroom so it got a bit steamy and coffee making facilities would be appreciated considering the price of buying coffee in Paris.

The only thing, which was satisfieng was not far distance from the subway station. Generally hotel room was totally different vs. photographs shown on booking.com. Room was terribly dirty, walls windows dirty and it was long time when they renovate anything in this hotel, fortunately bedding was fresh. Even elevator was only for 2 persons and very claustrophobic so we were scarred to use it.

Right next to a Metro station entrance. Watch out for the minibar fridge - they charge you for how ever many items are missing when you leave, but they do not tell you to check if it is fully stocked when you arrive. So if the cleaning crew fails to stock your minibar fridge completely, you'll pay for the missing items. Thankfully the items are not very expensive which is good because the prices are not posted either. Lobby and breakfast room are 'stylish' looking, and decent. Rooms are much worse. Shower is really tiny, place is somewhat dingy. Rooms need full renovation. Location near metro station is convenient, but that station is kind of far out (southern end of M4 line). We've stayed here twice, but probably will not again.

The room was clean and it is close to the metro. No tea and coffee making facilities and no Option to buy one in the hotel. Noisy cleaners. Wifi kept cutting in and out. Walls are paper thin so you could hear conversations next door clear as a bell.

It's a nice hotel for the price. The best thing is the location, in front of the subway station - line 4, one of the best lines in Paris. Didn't have a breakfast at the hotel, because it's kind of a expensive, but there is a boulangerie just next the hotel. The internet it's not really good, but once yu are in Paris to go out and visit the city, this is not a big problem!

Very upset by staff behaviour and stay conditions. Lift was not working and my room was at the 6th floor, refaction was in progress and it was not mentionned. A lot of dust. Amex card was refused whereas it was mentionned by logo. They force to pay with cash! Room was full of mites and my longs really suffered during the night. A lot of noice as soundproofing is defect (just look at the windows from the small balcony ... Furthermore, breakfast is very poor for 12 euros per person. Surely not a 3 stars and certainly not for business. This hotel is maximum 1 star worth. I do not recommend this hotel.

Nice room The lift did not work and we were on the 7th Floor. We were told that we did not have breakfast included in our rate but they were going to let us have it as a gift from the hotel. The Booking.com rate clearly ststed that the rate included breakfast.

Breakfast is not spectacular but sufficient. Clean. Comfortable bed. Hotel is next to a chaotic square (porte d'orleans) and difficult to find during rush hour. Its advisable to park in Parking Porte d'Orleans, (took me an hour to find it). Then after finally getting to the hotel the lady behind the desk asked me to pay my entire bill right away. I stay in hotels quite often and its always at check out when the bills are paid. I did not follow up on her request. Later there were some other people behind the counter who were more pleasant to deal with. Elevator really small (one person + suitcase). The room was really poorly lit, which I found to be quite annoying.

The location right next to both a central Metro station and the tram was excellent and enables good access across the city It is a hotel of contradictions. The downstairs area was funky but the corridors areas were old and in need of some serious tlc. The room was adequately furnished with a tv that had not one non-french speaking channel. There was a good sized shower in the ensuite - with some quality fittings but with a really cheap shower curtain that didn't fit the recess. The good thing was that the bathroom was clean - except the shower area probably needs a regrouting and sealing. I would stay again and accept that this was an inexpensive stay and not look too hard at the decor.

I liked the funky style and the size of the rooms. Perfect size for a quick vacation in Paris The breakfast was expensive and not really worth it. Keep the 12 euro and go to the Boulangerie next door
