The proprietor was very accommodating and welcoming. The breakfast was very nice.
Everything that all the other reviewers have said... The unique decor in each room, homeliness, the patio (although the weather wasn't too good), the relaxing library. I wasn't sure about the continental breakfast, but I was glad I ordered it, home-made croissants, baguettes and marmalade. Nicole made us feel as if we were guests in her home and was very helpful.
The distance to the Palais Des Festivals
Each room themed - we were in a room with African theme complete with elephant bust over bed and leopard print bathroom tiles! Different! Proprietor was very hands on and delightful. Good quality continental breakfast in nice setting. Located close to Cannes centre.
Ensuite was very small however we did get last room so maybe others are bigger?
Everything this hotel really is a gem it should have 3stars the rooms are just amazing each with a different theme and we did look at most of the rooms, beds very comfy crisp white sheets fluffy towels great staff nothing too much trouble secure parking for motor bike ,even gave us two beach towels at no extra cost breakfast is continental and fresh . It's a good 15 min walk into the town and beach , there is a local restaurant near the hotel which is very good but a bit pricey , we found eating in the town was cheaper, if we go to Cannes again we would definitely stay again great quiet location
The owner was charming and very helpful. The breakfast was of very good quality and the wifi access very reliable, The location charming and quiet,
The bathroom was really too small. The door to the shower was so narrow that it was difficult to get in an out of the shower . There was no shelf or place for the toileteries.I learned that the replacement of the towels will cost an extra 5 euros/day. The desk was preety small and the desk chair very uncorfortable. There was almost no place to unpack my cloths.
Friendly helpful staff, lovely room, location very good - quiet. It was a short walk from the seafront but worth it to get to a quiet section of Cannes.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The accomodations were modern, clean and comfortable. The room (Polonaise #16) was small, but fine for one or a couple travelling together. Beautiful garden patio to have breakfast on. I would stay at this location again if I have the chance toreturn to Cannes.
Nice hotel with each room individually decorated. Very friendly owner. Great atmosphere.
Very small rooms. Impractical bath room layout/wash basin.
This wonderful house out of the crowds of Cannes centre is absolutely peaceful with its beautiful garden where in the morning will be served fresh squeezed orange juice ,home made cakes and croissant freshly baked by the nice owner. The room are a surprise! Each one has a different theme from wild America to La commedia dell'arte, a small double bedroom that makes you feel in the Scala of Milano with spectators and actors, just great! And if you feel like reading a nice book or a art book or just play chess ,a big lounge on the ground floor welcomes you .Very good prices and a lot of kindness!
The Ideal Sejour is situated in a very quite residential area about a 10 min walk from down town Cannes. The rooms in the hotel are all styled after well known books, our included a large moulded Tin Tin. What could be Kitsch is saved by wonderful execution and a great eye for detail. The public areas are very stylish, including an extensive library and the lovely patio. Breakfast was well worth it will delightful home made croissants and cake. As has been mentioned elsewhere, the proprietor, Nicole was very helpful, overall I would highly recommend the hotel.
The rooms did lack some storage space and while very clean and functional, the bathroom was really very small. The patio was lovely, but watch out for the mosquitoes!
the garden is a fab place to have a coffee or read a book
a little pricey
Loved the room and the garden!very clean room with great decoration!very quiet street ideal for resting from the noise of Cannes!
Recommended only if you have a car and a gps!
Beautiful hotel, each room has its own theme based on travel and movies. Spotlessly clean, perfectly maintained, beautifully decorated. The bathroom was luxurious and unexpected for this price range. The hostess/owner (Nicole) is amazingly helpful, provided great recommendations of restaurants and things to do, and was very kind to help us with anything we needed for our baby. She was great! Breakfast was very nice, with home made croissants, jams and baked goods, served in the beautiful patio. The patio itself is beautiful to read or relax with a glass of wine. Very calm neighbourhood away from the bustling noise of downtown Cannes. Good access from the highway without having to navigate downtown.
Minor annoyances that will not prevent us from staying here again: There are only 2/3 (depending on car size) parking spaces in the property, but plenty of free parking on the street in front or around the corner of the hotel. There is not much storage space in the room; just a small hanger, a cubicle and a few small bookshelves. It is certainly well suited for a short stay, but we stayed 7 nights with a baby, so it felt a bit cramped. Downtown Cannes is a 15-minute downhill/20-minute uphill walk, important to bear in mind if having to come back to the hotel in the middle of the day.
A wonderfully unique hotel with very charming owner and staff. Beautiful gardens, breakfasts great and facilities great and very different to the norm!
A bar area would have added to the downstairs and garden space.
Lovely friendly staff. Good location Cost Room decor was fantastic
Room very small, but as we were staying one night, It never bothered us.
Everything was excellent. More attention to minor details can improve the rating significantly.
Bath room amenities and choices at breakfast are candidates for improvement.
Everything. The hotel is in a nice quiet part of Cannes, the staff is extremely helpful, everything is clean, wi fi is fast and reliable. The beds are amazing, as was the view from our room - we overlooked the garden, which is full of flowers.
The sink was a bit small.
Very attractive, inventive and clean rooms with the rest interior of the accommodation. The breakfast was excellent and the garden really cute. They were so nice and kind to the guest. I will definitely recommended for staying there.
Room decoration is something else that makes the stay in there very special and the breaksfast so fresh and nice. Staff very very friendly
Really a nice , original place suggested to all in a very restful environment . Staff is very welcoming and restfull.
The hotel was well situated (a 20 min walk to the centre of Cannes). The hostess was a wonderful person who did everything to please her guests. Breakfast was good. The rooms are all different and very surprising. Rooms were clean.
This hotel is adorable and the staff is very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are all individually painted, very quaint, and unique. Breakfast was served in their garden and it was delicious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, it is great!!
