Holiday Inn Calais Coquelles  

Wonderfully situated for Cite Europe shopping and the Channel Tunnel. Set well back from the quiet road. Friendly and welcoming. Highly recomended.

We always stay at the Holiday Inn whenever possible as it is always excellent value for money.The quality is assured,.and a good, quite nights sleep is always had. Breakfast is elaborate, with both English and continental foods, as well as fruit, cereals, yoghurts and a generouse choice of fruit juices.

pleasant location, close to calais but in a rural setting. Pool nice and attendant very helpful. Mean portions in the restaurant and grindingly slow service (but to be fair not sufficient staff). Expensive given the lack of breakfast. the room was nice but there was only one proper (queen size) bed, the others had foldaways which were not comfortable.

Easy access from the motorway. The hotel's proximity to cite europe.

Disappointed that leisure centre is not available for use during the afternoon.

We were impressed by the helpfulness and courtesy of all the staff at th hootel - in particular the lady, who was manning the reception when we arrived at 03:00, who went out of her way to find a nail file - when it seemed on our initial enquiry that one wasn't available - and then delivered it personally to our room.

Excellent overnight stop for the train to uk enjoyable meal had stayed before in September when doing the British Legion Pedal to Paris cycle ride

Our room was overdue a refurbishment!!!!! Breakfast was poor quality.

Weekend of 11th November

we should have been advised on arrival that it was necessary to reserve a table for dinner. It was my wife's birthday and all credit is due to the manager who resolved the situation without to much fuss.

Nice rooms

It's location makes it an ideal base for a short break. We visited both Bruges and le Touquet during our stay. The hotel is well run: staff are friendly and professional. Rooms are of a good standard.

Breakfast at 15 euros is expensive. There should be a two tier pricing structure such that it is possible to have a continental breakfast at a lower price than a full English.

We stayed here for two nights in the family room as a result of a recommendation from friends. It was close to the city's tram and train stations which we wanted to travel into Amsterdam. The beach, the local restaurants, the transit system along with seeing the ww2 bunkers on the coast made the location of this hotel perfect.

This is a fabulous hotel. The only thing that was disappointing was that with the money you pay for your room you would expect things to be in order when room service cleaned your room. Our room looked like it had been done in a rush with lack of attention to details like emptying the trash cans and the bed looking fresh, not tucked in hap-hazardly all around. Also, I prefer to make payments via our Visa Debit cards and this was refused - payment by credit card only was my only choice.
