Tours itself; the hotel is located within walking distance of the city centre and the market.

The description of the 'family rooms' misses out an important detail: the children's beds are on a mezzanine accessed by a very steep open staircase, not suitable for a young child. We arrived in Tours in the evening, having been travelling since 7am, and were presented with a fait accompli; staff were totally unapologetic and seemed not to think that this breakneck staircase would be a problem. Tiny main room is just about big enough for the bed; we ended up all crammed into this room with two children (3 and 1) and a pushchair. This, and the lack of any hospitable public areas for a family, meant that we we forced to take the children out later than we would ever have planned - fortunately, Tours' restaurateurs are very child friendly and we managed to turn it into an adventure, but it was exhausting, not the rest stop to break our journey that we had planned. The car park is beneath the hotel and accessible only by a flight of steps, so getting luggage, pushchairs and toddlers/infants from car to room is a real struggle. Also, entry to and exit from car park is by a narrow and tightly curving ramp - 4x4 drivers beware!

Tours is a lovely city and as we wanted to see as much as we could in less than 24hours, we were not in the hotel much.

    The price.only.

The room stank and the tolletries were below average. There were no screen on the windowner and a mosquito came in. The room needs a new carpet but the bed was comfortable.

Bed linen very clean, comfy bed, no noise problems, slept well. Car parking in secure garage good, although difficult to manoeuvre a mid size to large car in and out. Able to walk into town in around 15 minutes.

Rooms and corridors dark, shabby and in urgent need of refurbishment. Bathrooms equally bad. Poor WiFi, TV all in French with no way to change the language. Breakfast very poor for the money, stale bread, tasteless cheese, not a good selection at all.

    value for money

a bit further than I expected from the city center. the worse was the temperature: we had a room with a "mezzanine". with or without air cond, temperature in the mezzanine was far too high. with air cond it was frrezing in the main bed.

    Breakfast good.

Not enough description of room. Wouldn't have booked if I knew 3rd bed up near ceiling in box-like room and you had to climb a tall ladder. Parking 10 euros even though I thought parking was free.

The position of the hotel in the city of Tours

The rooms are very small and the air con so noisy that we had to prop the window open instead of using it.

The hotel was in a good location, within walking distance of the old town and the modern shopping area as well. It was modern and clean and the staff were friendly.

The only minor complaint that I have is that we booked a superior room as we had a baby with us and needed a travel cot in the room & am glad that we did as the room was still fairly small so I'm not sure we would have fitted into a standard room!
