Located between the train station in the center of Tours and the Vinci Congress Centre, this early 20th-century hotel has Art Deco-style guest rooms. It has a 24-hour front desk with a tour desk.
Score from 405 reviews Good
Just 300 ft from Tours Train Station and 300 ft from Vinci Convention Center, Hotel de L'Europe offers a central base. It has guest rooms with a private bathroom, TV and free Wi-Fi.

We are in the center of the city of Tours, and our lobby area opens onto the loveliest shady avenue in town, close to the most popular shops and restaurants.

Central Location Parking
Helpful staff Easy parking
location near town. I deal as a stop over from south to north.
Extra for parking which was very tight. Extra for a dismal breakfast. Staff pretty nonplussed. Do not go for the budget room, we did and the wet room bathroom flooded our luggage in the bed area!
Location is good, easily accessible. Room is clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Small room, slow WiFi connection.
Friendly and helpful staff in the reception. Easy to find and parking easy. The family room had a mezzanine floor with twin beds up there, reached by a ladder that was exciting for children, if a bit nerve wracking for their parents. Restaurant served good food
Service slow in the restaurant, although it was pretty busy. Limited drinks in the bar, which was not staffed after dinner.
Convenient location with a ten minute walk to the pedestrianised centre of town with restaurants, churches and the river bank. Narrow parking and access. More than happy and surprised how good the restaurant was for dinner on the second night of our stay when it was raining so hard we stayed in. Useful home base to touring the lovely chateaux area around. Comfort and facilities of a fine modern well-run hotel.
Good hotel near centre of tours easy to find and parking
Handy stop for visiting Tours
Would have liked tea/coffee making facility in room.
location not far from city center
the smell in the room
Children's separate sleeping area
no lift access from parking. cost of breakfast 10 Euros each with no reduction for children. Space in bedroom.
central location, helpful reception staff, secure parking
No facilities for making a hot drink in the rooms. Showers only
No coffee maker in room
Well locsted hotel close to amenities.
No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms.
Tours itself; the hotel is located within walking distance of the city centre and the market.
The description of the 'family rooms' misses out an important detail: the children's beds are on a mezzanine accessed by a very steep open staircase, not suitable for a young child. We arrived in Tours in the evening, having been travelling since 7am, and were presented with a fait accompli; staff were totally unapologetic and seemed not to think that this breakneck staircase would be a problem. Tiny main room is just about big enough for the bed; we ended up all crammed into this room with two children (3 and 1) and a pushchair. This, and the lack of any hospitable public areas for a family, meant that we we forced to take the children out later than we would ever have planned - fortunately, Tours' restaurateurs are very child friendly and we managed to turn it into an adventure, but it was exhausting, not the rest stop to break our journey that we had planned. The car park is beneath the hotel and accessible only by a flight of steps, so getting luggage, pushchairs and toddlers/infants from car to room is a real struggle. Also, entry to and exit from car park is by a narrow and tightly curving ramp - 4x4 drivers beware!
Tours is a lovely city and as we wanted to see as much as we could in less than 24hours, we were not in the hotel much.
The room stank and the tolletries were below average. There were no screen on the windowner and a mosquito came in. The room needs a new carpet but the bed was comfortable.
Quality of things
Room very small, beds for the kids in the ceiling.
Location Breakfast good value
very small car park entrance
Breakfast was good parking location Staff (all of them) clean place
Really noise small beds a little bit small room (but not bad)
Bed linen very clean, comfy bed, no noise problems, slept well. Car parking in secure garage good, although difficult to manoeuvre a mid size to large car in and out. Able to walk into town in around 15 minutes.
Rooms and corridors dark, shabby and in urgent need of refurbishment. Bathrooms equally bad. Poor WiFi, TV all in French with no way to change the language. Breakfast very poor for the money, stale bread, tasteless cheese, not a good selection at all.
We had a one night stay at this hotel -wish we had time to stay an extra night.Location is great for a stroll into the old town, found the hotel staff to be extremely courteous and friendly and the breakfast first class.
difficult entry to underground garage

a bit further than I expected from the city center. the worse was the temperature: we had a room with a "mezzanine". with or without air cond, temperature in the mezzanine was far too high. with air cond it was frrezing in the main bed.
Clean and tidy hotel.
