Low price. Within walking distance of town(15 minutes) Secure underground parking(charged) Reception friendlyspoke good English
Room next to lift(last one available)overlooking busy road Air con poor/noisy No tea/ coffee facilities in room Breakfast extra quite basic Only 1 towel Bathroom sink grotty
The quality of the breakfast left a lot to be desired
10 minutes away from bars restaurants Underground parking, Modern, bright bar area.
Our room could have done with a refurb, a dated carpet and decor. Traffic noise at times as it is at a crossroads.
to far out of the city centre Rooms need updating
We liked the parking and the semi-closeness to the city center. We were in Tours to see chateaus. We were lucky to be in Tours on a Saturday. The city market was wonderful.
The lighting at the hotel. You need to find a switch getting off the elevator or stairs. The hallways are dark until you find a switch. It didn't always feel safe. In the room, the bath light is also a room light. It is not good if one person is sleeping.
Central Location Parking
Helpful staff Easy parking
Close to old town-10-15 min walk
Very small rooms, you can't move Price is high Parking is tight and at cost
location near town. I deal as a stop over from south to north.
Extra for parking which was very tight. Extra for a dismal breakfast. Staff pretty nonplussed. Do not go for the budget room, we did and the wet room bathroom flooded our luggage in the bed area!
Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel was in a good location with good bar and restaurant facilities. Room, after we upgraded, was eventually very comfortable although some access areas of the hotel were looking a little tired.
Travelling with 6 year old Grand Daughter so gad booked 3 bedded room. Additional bed was above bathroom with difficult ladder access unsuitable for 6 year old. Had to upgrade to larger room ( only €10 ) for a suitable additional bed. Hotels car park had difficult access. Overall hotel is a little expensive for what it can offer.
Location is good, easily accessible. Room is clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Small room, slow WiFi connection.
Friendly and helpful staff in the reception. Easy to find and parking easy. The family room had a mezzanine floor with twin beds up there, reached by a ladder that was exciting for children, if a bit nerve wracking for their parents. Restaurant served good food
Service slow in the restaurant, although it was pretty busy. Limited drinks in the bar, which was not staffed after dinner.
Convenient location with a ten minute walk to the pedestrianised centre of town with restaurants, churches and the river bank. Narrow parking and access. More than happy and surprised how good the restaurant was for dinner on the second night of our stay when it was raining so hard we stayed in. Useful home base to touring the lovely chateaux area around. Comfort and facilities of a fine modern well-run hotel.
Good hotel near centre of tours easy to find and parking
Handy stop for visiting Tours
Would have liked tea/coffee making facility in room.
location not far from city center
the smell in the room
Children's separate sleeping area
no lift access from parking. cost of breakfast 10 Euros each with no reduction for children. Space in bedroom.
central location, helpful reception staff, secure parking
No facilities for making a hot drink in the rooms. Showers only
No coffee maker in room
Well locsted hotel close to amenities.
No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms.
Tours itself; the hotel is located within walking distance of the city centre and the market.
The description of the 'family rooms' misses out an important detail: the children's beds are on a mezzanine accessed by a very steep open staircase, not suitable for a young child. We arrived in Tours in the evening, having been travelling since 7am, and were presented with a fait accompli; staff were totally unapologetic and seemed not to think that this breakneck staircase would be a problem. Tiny main room is just about big enough for the bed; we ended up all crammed into this room with two children (3 and 1) and a pushchair. This, and the lack of any hospitable public areas for a family, meant that we we forced to take the children out later than we would ever have planned - fortunately, Tours' restaurateurs are very child friendly and we managed to turn it into an adventure, but it was exhausting, not the rest stop to break our journey that we had planned. The car park is beneath the hotel and accessible only by a flight of steps, so getting luggage, pushchairs and toddlers/infants from car to room is a real struggle. Also, entry to and exit from car park is by a narrow and tightly curving ramp - 4x4 drivers beware!
Tours is a lovely city and as we wanted to see as much as we could in less than 24hours, we were not in the hotel much.
