Located just over a quarter mile from the medieval citadel of Carcassonne, the Cerise Carcassonne features an indoor swimming pool, hammam (public bath), fitness room, and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 2190 reviews Very good
Situated just 165 ft from the historic town of Carcassone in the Aude region, Aragon is a charming hotel. It is the ideal place for exploring the Cathar Country.
Score from 794 reviews Very good
Set just outside the medieval walls, this bed and breakfast is just 150 metres from the medieval city of Carcassonne and a 15-minute walk from the city centre.

Score from 1525 reviews Good
Within walking distance of main sights.
The shuttle bus from the airport stops just outside the hotel.
The pillows were small and thin.
Clean, Quiet, Close to the Cite and the City
We have been travelling for 2 months. The rooms at this Hotel were the absolute smallest we have had, and the most expensive. Booked a double, but there were only twins when we got there. Bring a small cat, you can't swing a big one!
I liked almist everything exept the sjower gel
So close to the medieval city it was fabulous.
No kettle, twin room very squashy with two suitcases.
Location. Short walk into La Cite
Very small room.
Easy walk to the old city and it's restaurants.
Rooms and car park very compact.
Hotel located very near old town within easy walking distance. Private parking available. Good breakfast.
Room was small, but manageable. All in one shower.
Location. Compact well designed room. Quiet Free parking
convience for sight seeing
open shower could have done with screen or something and no privisy when on toilet tried to charge us for garage we did not use
Really close to the citadel and convenient for the old town. Location couldn't have been bettered. Staff really friendly. Modern rooms, felt light and airy, parking, husband enjoyed breakfast.Views out not overlooked.
Semi transparent internal wall to bathroom inc loo might be off putting to those in early stages of a relationship. Key mix up - don't put your key on the board as it may be given to someone else by mistake - very busy reception. would have liked bedside table or shelf both sides for personal bits and pieces especially torch to minimise disturbance with translucent wall!
Well designed though small room. Near to castle with wonderful view from breakfast room.
Could only have double bed in room with view of car park. Only twin beds in castle view rooms.
We had only a long weekend to see all the sights of Carcassone. Inter-Hotel Espace Cite was in just the right location for both the medieval city and for the bastide area
Mattress on the bed was a little too firm for my liking.
I was a disabled visitor and the staff were excellent . Drinks on the patio area was good .breakfast was good.
I loved the position of the hotel and the view from the bedroom window was amazing. The room was compact but modern , clean, And comfortable. Would defiinately stay there again.
Nothing to complain about, everything was fine.
Location is unsurpassed for the money. From the entrance, the walls and turrets of the Cité are directly in front of you - a mere couple of minute stroll. The desk staff were friendly and accommodating; the wi-fi was free and fast; we were able to sit and have a drink at the tables by the entrance; there was free parking on site and the room was comfortable though smallish but cleverly designed to maximise space. Will stay here again.
Location. Excellent buffet breakfast at reasonable cost. Easy to find by road. Good bus connection to rail station.
Rooms were small but very clean, bright and functional.
Very close to the city gates. Very clean.
Very tiny room and no room to put anything. Parking was great if you were lucky enough to get a slot. Wet room shower and toilet so close that one could have a shower whilst sat on the toilet. Breakfast not worth the money - better to go to the first sandwich shop through the gates. Twice the price of the budget hotel which we used in June, which was about 600 meters further to walk to the city gates, and less space in our room.
Very convenient location. Easy walking to castle and town, bus stop close by. Staff helpful.
Tiny rooms Service was chaotic No attempt at giving a personal service
Great location, only 150 metres from the old city and just a few minutes walk from the old bridge. Great breakfast and very helpful staff. Extremely clean. There are great restaurants on the street between the hotel and the old bridge (especially No. 69) so no need to go any farther.
For some reason, Carcassonne seems to have very few taxis, so book yours well in advance if going to the airport. This is not the hotel's fault but travellers need to be aware of possible delays, and give themselves plenty of time. There is a frequent airport bus to and from the centre of the "new" city but I am not sure if it also stops closer to the hotel.
Very fine cleaning, good breakfast andit's possible to enjoy it outside.
Aircondition is not perfect, it's closet in the reception and you have to ask for opening and if you don't your room is very hot.
Good location close to La Cite. Front desk people helpful in giving advice. The room is quite small but works OK. When we arrived we didn't have any problem finding a parking spot but later in the evening it seemed to be full.
The worst breakfast I got anywhere in France. The croissant tasted like something from China and the coffee wasn't worth drinking.
This hotel was in a fabulous location. We were on the first floor and could see the fortified city lit up at night from our room - how beautiful. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Try the pizza from Restaurant Le Bon Koin, a small pizza place a little way down the road towards the town.
The room was very tiny so we did not try to get our two suitcases up, and a shower curtain between the toilet and shower would have been good but we managed fine.
Location, value, clean and plenty of parking
Great base for visiting area
