I've stayed at the Lion d'Or three times now. I like that it is very close to the centre of Chinon, it has parking very close by and it is easy to find. The location is excellent. The rooms are basic but reasonably comfortable and not as small as some you find. It is a good stopover hotel for travelling from the Channel ports to the south or on the trip back. For me, it is important that the hotel welcomes pets, we like to take our dogs on holiday. |

The receptionist was was friendly and accommodating. There was no air-conditioning which would have been useful as the weather was very hot while we were there. One minor point is that there were no serviettes at breakfast. |

Le petit déjeuner Le prix est trop élevé/à la chambre qui est loin d'etre grand confort comme je l'avais réservée.La salle d'eau avec les toilettes dedans mesure 2m2 25 soit 1,50x1,50m de plus la chambre sentait le tabac froid et la literie était moyenne et en prime recouverte de housse plastique.Je vais à Chinon tous les 2 mois je n'irai + dans cet hotel et je ne le recommanderai pas |

Нет лифта. Сам отель не так чтобы очень рядом с центром - зато на берегу реки. Напротив отеля - базарная площадь со стоянкой для автомобилей. Персонал говорил только по французски ;-) Fine hotel for short-term stay in the city. A bit away from the center, no lift. But - almost on the river bank with market square in front of the hotel. Staff was only French speaking. |

La localisation proche du centre et la proximité d'un grand parking, Quartier calme. Bon accueil. vetusté équipement salle de bain (fuite importante sur le raccord de douche). C'est toujours désagréable quand on est là pour une nuit (passage étape). Partagé sur la recommandation? |
