Nice quiet room, good restaurant, both food and value. Some rooms facing the road would be noisy.

The room was simple, almost spartan, but provided all that was needed for one night stay. The bed was comfortable Although the hotel is on a busy road, the rooms are at the back overlooking the hotel's pretty garden, so they are quiet. The menu in the restaurant at e20 was not value for money.

The garden is lovely and is very suitable for children who need to stretch their legs after many hours cooped up in the car. The rooms were clean, although quite basic. Adequate for an overnight stop but I would not be inclined to stay ther for more than one or two nights maximum. Beaugency, is a beautiful town situated right on the banks of the Loire. Walking around the town and seeing the abbaye and other historic places is well worth it, if you have the time? Surprisingly the food (dinner, in particular) was not of the normal high French standard. Basic fare is usually fresh and tasty in most eateries in France, however the dinner here was edible but of a poor standard. This said, my son enjoyed his 'crudites' and I my 'rognons de veau', the rest, however, was mediocre. Service was also a little below par, there were nine of us, but still..... Breakfast was better and this was self service in a relaxed dining area. Just about worth the quite pricey charge- did anybody see the extra madeleines I bought in my bag?????

Beautiful location in one of the most gorgeous historic towns. Close enough to Paris to visit or perfect for a weekend or stopover en route to southern France. Very well equipped rooms, delightful enclosed courtyard and great value for money! We will be back next time we're in France! A fan might be nice for hotter nights.

The Staff were helpful. We had a triple room that was far too small - even for a double! The 'ensuite' was ultra-tiny. The entire place is well overdue for refurbishment.

This was our second stay at this hotel; it makes a good halfway stop between Calais and the Dordogne. Beaugency is an attractive town and small enough to get in and out of easily. The hotel garden is a good place to relax on arrival. Food in restaurant very good. Food very good, but very slow to arrive . It took 2 hours to get 2 courses - after that we gave up!

Clean and comfortable, with very good wi-fi and a pretty inner courtyard garden The decor was very old fashioned, and the entrance area and breakfast room 'tired' and made a disappointing first impression.

“The room was quite nice and the staff were courteous and helpful. Beaugency is a very nice small city to visit and the location of this hotel makes walking to most locations quite easy. The architecture of the staircase is magnificent and unlike any other spiral stair I have ever seem. Breakfast was good as well. We will very likely return another year.” Levin, Hood River |
