After encountering french rudeness in Paris Cherbourg was a pleasant surprise . People were friendly and helpful .The hotel was situated perfectly for the port and in the old section of the town .It was basic but spotlessly clean and the lady on reception when we arrived was very nice and helped us out with all our querries and maps .Perfect for 1-2 nights. |

Convenience to the centre of Cherbourg. Handy to restaurants and shops. Very easy to book on-line and good value for money. The controls on the shower were difficult to fine-tune. |

Very central location near the bars and restaurants of Cherbourg. Hotels staff friendly. We stayed 2 nights and the room was well cleaned and fresh linen provided after the first night. |

A nice and quiet place, offering a perfect price/quality opportunity for economy class travellers. Located about one mile away from the railway station and near the central square. Disadvantages: French breakfast only; the facade overlooks a row of kebab houses, which gives the place a little taste of ghetto. Just kidding ) |

The closeness to the ferry port There was no kettle etc to make own drinks. Hot drinks ordered were expensive. There was no bar only bottled/canned drinks in a large fridge in the reception area so lacked atmosphere. |

Parking was good and the staff were helpful in arranging this. Hotel is conveniently situated. I was disappointed with the run down feel of the building and the old fashioned decor which made it seem shabby. One of the rooms was noisy. Breakfast was expensive. |

Very nice reception staff, seem to have good breakfast service although we ate out. I found the Hotel difficult to find, Hotel parking was very limited, however surrounding parking was free after 7pm on a Saturday and all day Sunday. Hotel room not quite up to Traveloldge standard. Cherboug was very noisey on a Saturday night, to be expected I suppose. |

The staff at the hotel were excellent, extremely friendly and obliging. Very well trained and fluent in English Dont expect high standard of room, the hotel is ideally located in Cherbourg and has a benefit of onsite parking. Our initial room was comical I have never seen wall paper like it and looked directly over the Istanbul Kebab Shop. Our second room was more basic but at least had plain wallpaper. It was comfortable and pretty clean but in need of a refurb and updating |
