Hôtel de Bourgogne - Mâcon  

The location and the price. Staff was friendly (but see comment in not liked section). Wifi in the room. Breakfast was typical small buffet style but nice and the breakfast staff friendly.

I did not realize you needed to book the parking. So when I arrived I was told I would have to park out in public for the night unless there ended up being room, I was to check back after 8pm. I was directed to a free parking (50 spaces) about 200 meters from the hotel. The area was near a park and there were beer bottle stuck in trees,etc.. not safe looking. When I told the girl this she said Macon is always safe. Yeah it wasn't her brand new Jeep or belongings. I ended up moving the Jeep around 11pm to a public spot outside the hotel that seemed a little better. Later I saw into the hotel parking garage and it was tiny and you needed to leave the keys with the staff so that they can jam cars into the lot. Downside of the room was the door was too hard to open so had to fight with it with luggage - seems they used an industrial spring on it.

Only the locationand secure parking..

Restaurant closed on Sundays,small room,quite expensive for what it is.

Lovely old hotel with stunning staircase and all the old style facilities, but clean and in full working order.Centrally located, easy parking, would highly recommend for the price!

Rooms quite small, but as expected in an old hotel of this style. No coffee / tea making facilities

Rooms are way too small. AC is advertised but really shuts down at night, so in the summer it is a major problem. Wifi was very spotty.

I thought the decor of the room was clean and stylish. Excellent bathroom too. Staff were Pleasant and helpful.

The room was nicely decorated and with all new facilities. The bathroom is superclean, the comfort room is spacious, the furniture is brand new.

The breakfast is very limited (one type of cheese, some kind of cheap ham, a boiled egg and a croissant with jam together with not so good coffee - all for €10 is not satisfactory). The room was very dark (the window was under the parking place roof), parking places are very limited - although reserved earlier during booking, there were some problems with getting some place for the car.

Staff were friendly and helpful

The room was pretty tiny and parking was difficult.

The staff's attention and attitude when we arrived in the late afternoon was good and helpful. The following morning, different more mature staff were not helpful at all, we were moved from two tables in the breakfast restaurant and when it came to leave, much fuss was made about having to move two cars to allow me to drive out of the parking area. I would not stay here again.

We liked the location in a lovely typically french town. Great for a stop on the way north to Calais and close to the motorway.

De airco functioneerde niet, Het hotelpersoneel wist ervan uit vorige klachten. Een tegemoedkoming van € 24 ( ontbijtprijs ) is ondermaats voor mij. Totaal geen nachtrust door een te warme omgeving in de kamer, buitentemperatuur was overdag 30 ° C.
