This hotel is well situated within the city with easy access to the city center. The breakfast is well elaborated and free wifi is a welcome service. Hotel staff was not friendly and could not provide any information on the city, neighbourhood ... The room was small, did not smell fresh and was not clean (swab on the floor, hair on shower wall, ...)

Lovely old hotel with stunning staircase and all the old style facilities, but clean and in full working order.Centrally located, easy parking, would highly recommend for the price! Rooms quite small, but as expected in an old hotel of this style. No coffee / tea making facilities

Central location. Pleasant style. Unhelpful staff. Non-smoking rooms with ashtrays and smell of smoke. Restaurant closed because it was Sunday (not advised of this). Although I let the hotel know I was disabled, my room had a large step into completely tiled bathroom and 8 inch step into the shower. Bread at breakfast wasn't really fresh - it was an effort to pull apart. Really not up to standard.

Garage parking very limited and spaces impossibly small - it was easier to save the 10 Euro charge and park on the street

Nice charming hotel. Well located in Macon. Hotel restaurant seemed nice, but didn't get a chance to eat there. Good base to visit surrounding vineyards. Room was small and basic, but good value.

The location was ideal for our journey south on the motorway. It was also in the centre of the small town with a small selection of restaurants. Nothing really. Double bed wasn't brilliant. Also getting out of the car park in the morning was a bone of contention with the hotel as we did not give the EXACT time of our departure, and two cars needed to be moved. Didn't go down well with the receptionist. The time of departure requirement should have been explained a bit better.

Location, clean. Rooms are way too small. AC is advertised but really shuts down at night, so in the summer it is a major problem. Wifi was very spotty.

The room was nicely decorated and with all new facilities. The bathroom is superclean, the comfort room is spacious, the furniture is brand new. The breakfast is very limited (one type of cheese, some kind of cheap ham, a boiled egg and a croissant with jam together with not so good coffee - all for €10 is not satisfactory). The room was very dark (the window was under the parking place roof), parking places are very limited - although reserved earlier during booking, there were some problems with getting some place for the car.

Three experiences did not make my stay at the Hotel de Bourgogne enjoyable. 1. This is the first hotel during my bike trip through Europe that wanted to charge me 10 Euros just to park my bicycle in their private parking lot. 2. The newly renovated bathroom did not have a shower rod. While it might be a French specialty to balance the shower head in one hand while trying to wash yourself, I shower rod should be expected in a hotel of that category. 3. The receptionist did not want to accept the rate of booking.com. I had to show her the saved booking page, and she finally accepted

The hotel was very good but rooms are small. The rooms are very modern and new , how long the equipment will last with time is difficult to say. The lighting in the room is good but the bathroom light is automatic when you open the door and does disturb people sleeping at night. The blue lights on the headboard are also disturbing. The air con is very weak and not effective. I stopped this by turning of the breaker in the room fuse box. The restaurant was very good. Overall we enjoyed our stay. All these problems would be easy to sort out.

The staff's attention and attitude when we arrived in the late afternoon was good and helpful. The following morning, different more mature staff were not helpful at all, we were moved from two tables in the breakfast restaurant and when it came to leave, much fuss was made about having to move two cars to allow me to drive out of the parking area. I would not stay here again.
