The room was quiet at night, also had retractible shutters that made it dark for excellent sleeping. The front desk was extrememly helpful, looking up local bus schedules for us, ordering a 6 AM cab for us, answering questions, etc., all with a pleasant manner. The location was great, near the train station and the local markets. Breakfast so-so for 9 Euros, scaffolding outside window (to be removed when painting done?) |

The hotel was well-placed- perfect for wandering around the town, close to the attractive pedestrianised area and the river. Private secluded parking was an advantage. |

The location was central, you could walk to the train station, for instance,which is ok in a city which has very few taxis... The exterior of the building is being repaired, and we had scaffolding facing our room window, and couldn´t open it properly. This aspect wasn´t mentioned by Booking, as it should be. |

Great location in the centre of Macon. Private parking. Nice bathroom. Major building work going on, so scaffolding everywhere, and very noisy in the morning. Curtains not put up to prevent light coming into the room. Parking and getting out difficult, particularly as workmen everywhere with vans. |

The receptionist on duty when we arrived was very pleasant and helpful The room was smokey, despite requesting a non-smoking room. A corridor door banged very noisily all night. The receptionist in the morning was amazingly impolite and unprofessional - did not even say bonjour or au revoir - no reason - we had not complained or created any pressure for her. She gets the prize as the rudest woman I've met this year. |

Central location but quiet and parking available [with fee], flat screen TV with BBC and CNN, nice modern decor in the room and tasteful decor outside the rooms, and efficient. Useful shoe shine machine too. One of the staff was not very friendly--she slapped my credit card on the counter close to her. I should have specified one double bed and one single bed (for us and two young children) because they gave us 3 single beds. I assumed that they could have figured that out as I had informed them that we had two youngsters. |

Location The bathroom, there was mildew and it was not very clean, plus the toilet had to be flushed twice and the toilet paper holder was placed behind the toilet on the wall. |

Its a very traditional hotel set in the square of Macon, the staff were friendly, we have stayed at many hotels on this vacation,as we have been touring on motorcycles so the secure parking was a bonus, so as a group we have rated this hotel very highly Only the lift as it is a bit small |
