Lovely old building stylish and elegant but all the facilities were modern.
The noise of the rain on the plastic roof. Very loud!!
Bordeaux is a great city (a mini-Paris) Fabrice was very helpful Lovely room Great location
Bitten by mosquitos both nights
A really beautiful hotel in the centre of Bordeaux that has been superbly styled. The owner is very friendly and has some great recommendations of what to see and where too eat. 10/10
Good location, excellent friendly host with good local information and suggestions.
Wifi not available in room when advertised. It might sound petty but we were on a road trip and needed internet to plan the next days activities and next nights accommodation.
Location, Fabrice (the owner), breakfast
Wifi rarely worked, 5:30PM check in is awkward, no TV channels in English, no closet and few drawers, no lift
Location, comfort, hospitality, parking option
nothing in particular, would recommend Junior Suite.
Very helpful and friendly service from Mr Heurtevent.
our room very small though expecting this. Very little storage space. Bed very firm.
Beautiful boutique BnB. Owner is lovely and very helpful even lending me a book on Bordeaux for my stay. I arrived early by 2hrs (note check in is 5pm) but this was not an issue, he took me up directly to my gorgeous room. Beautifully decorated in french provincial furniture. Breaky was lovely. I would stay again.
Fabrice is an exceptional host!
The room was really spacious and beautifully decorated. Bed very comfortable. Loved the large opening French doors onto the balcony.wonderful breakfast, and very helpful owner.
host is very friendly , considerate and helpful . Elegant house in the centre of the city , convenient for sight-seeing and restaurants streets . My room is facing the street view , in nice decoration and spacious for a leisure stay . Breakfast is in good quality .
Our host was very affable. The room was pretty as a picture, the bed super comfortable & the balcony perfectly French. It was well appointed with coffee machine & wine glasses! A lovely, indulgent escape from business. I will definitely return.
The owner, Fabrice, was very welcoming and helpful. On our arrival we received a map with recommendations for restaurants and places to see. The B&B is about 10 minutes walk to the centre of Bordeaux offering a varied choice of restaurants to eat in and places to see. The B&B was beautifully decorated. Our room, Port de la Lune, was small but very comfortable and sufficient for what we needed it for. The king size bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very modern, providing all the extras necessary. French Breakfast was lovely, offering all fresh produce.
Nothing, apart from the reception for WIFI. As our room was on the second floor we weren't able to use it, however, it is possible in the breakfast room area.
Elegant decor, well-designed room, in a historically interesting building very close to the centre, easy walking distance. Plentiful breakfast. Extremely helpful host who provided us with a map and indicated the most interesting areas to visit.
Only the fact that the very modern and beautiful shower had only a hand-held head, no means of fixing it so that you could stand underneth it.
Accommodation was lovely hosts were lovely ,area was lovely easy access to the trams , didn't need to use the trams much as all the places we wanted to visit were near each other and you could walk it . Bordeaux is a beautiful old city you must try and visit , full of history
We liked everything , fabrice and Valerie were lovely French people and went out there way to make us feel welcome , they directed us to the best places to eat , and places to go ,
I liked that this was more like having your own beautifully plush apartment, than staying in a hotel. I liked that the 'host' (receptionist) was thoroughly welcoming and helpful and yet also very swift. He clearly understood that his guests come to enjoy every precious minute of their stay and their opportunity to see the city so acted promptly without making the mistake of treating you like just another 'guest'. The 'hotel' is utterly charmingly plush and lovely to stay in. Highly recommended.
Being British we want a decent Kettle and plenty proper plain black-tea tea bags and plenty real milk in the room! There was not! Beware also, that the building/apartment-block is not staffed - so you have to be clear about the period of time you will arrive at, and make sure you arrive then!
Location is not bad as it is not far from the Metro station.
Very poor signal for Wifi at the 3rd floor. Dirty sofa bed. Limited options for breakfast and it was not buffet at all. It is not a hotel and there is no 24hour service. It is basically a house . Not hot water in the 3rd floor.
An excellent short stay. House full of character - such a pleasurable change from intercontinental plastic. Host could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Will definitely return.
Lovely rooms and a warm welcome from Fabrice.
Some noise from the street at night.
The host Fabrice is a very helpful and friendly person. He gave us a very warm welcome and gave us useful information of the Bordeaux area. The room is very clean and the building is very classic.
The room is a little bit small
- Beautiful room and shower room - good coffee machine - Owner gave us great advice on restaurants which turned out to be excellent. - good breakfast - Good instruction on late night check-in. Just remember to print the email with door codes on before your travel. We enjoyed the treasure hut discovery of our beautiful room
- I got an insect bite overnight which triggered a serious allergic reaction. My whole body turned sensitive and produced lumps everywhere. Luckily I worked out what went wrong and bought some antihistamine from local pharmacy. It is highly unusal for me but Bordeaux has lots of mosquitoes!
Important-facility very clean; bed extremely comfortable, bedding high quality. Location is unassuming, but near major attractions. Walkable city. Hosts very accommodating.
Would have liked to access a common room to be used by guests.
