Hotel was very clean, bed was super comfortable, bathroom was great! Breakfast was also very good. Liked that they had local gourmet products for sale in small shop in lobby. Staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Check in time was in the afternoon, but we arrived off the early morning ferry, 9am, to ensure that we knew where to go later on when checking in - after a bad experience last year in Pisa! The owner said that as there had been no one in the room on the previous day we could check in now. Indeed, the staff were superb and the food was excellent - as was the whole deal. We will certainly stay there on our next visit to Normandy. Very highly recommended.

There was simply nothing to complain about. This is a first class hotel in its category.

Everything!! If I had a complant, it would be about internet access. We were allowed to use the manager's computer to print off a reservation, but only because she was not there on the weekend. The restaurant, while expensive, was well worth it. The best meal I had in France, by any measure. Very much a boutique hotel, it is only four years old, while the restaurant is 18 and on the current Michelin list for 2013. Parking is free, and easily accessible behind the building. I recommend this hotel as a destination in itself.

A very nice clean hotel with spacious room and friendly helpful English-speaking staff. A great location on the edge of town with a pleasant straight line 30 mins walk into the town centre

It is not very clear from the hotel details and reviews, but our room did not have a toilet, one had to go down to level -1. Also a bit picky but given that the hotel is listed as 5 star: there was a lack of attention to detail in that the tea bags and sugar were not topped up, there were only 2 cups for 3 guests and no milk was available.

Friendly competent very helpful staff, nice room, all fully renovated and everything working. Car parking good, no extra cost.

Minor point, it was a bit further out of town than we realised but a nice young man helped us with the public transport so it was not problem.

Very comfortable room with well equipped bathroom - bathrobes, slippers etc. The restaurant was excellent - beautifully cooked and presented food.

Lighting design left bedroom a little on the gloomy side.

We wanted a quiet hotel that provided a base to visit Normandy. The location of the hotel just outside the city center is fine with easy access to everywhere. Parking was easy and our room was large and spacious with good facilities.This hotel met all of our expectations, the whole spacious ambiance has a really nice look and feel to it. The staff were friendly and made us feel wanted and could not do enough for us. The food was fantastic supported by the most incredible wine list (book a table in advance, you will not be disappointed).

May be difficult to get service fast as there front desk person is not always there, a few stains to remove on the carpet in the room

Noise from street we stayed on a sat night & must have been some very drunk people yelling on the street whuch woke us up.

Everything was perfect in every way. We would recommend anyone to stay there, especially if they love excellent food, beautifully presented, by friendly and welcoming staff.

Restaurant over-rated, expensive and pretentious.

We stayed in Caen as a centre to visit the D-Day beaches and the many museums. The bedrooms are excellent - modern and comfortable with fabulous showers. We ate at the hotel for the first night and had one of their gourmet menus which were super but on the pricey side. Continental breakfast is generous and excellent.

It would be nice to have a definite bar area instead of just the lounge.

Good size room and location good for access into Caen and out to the ring road and motorways. Good breakfast also, which was nice to have included in the price. Amenable staff.

Excellent all round value and tastefully designed.

A fantastic experience. Best business hotel and restaurant in many months of travel. Excellent staff, perfect rooms and facilities. And the restaurant was wonderful : an exciting menu at €55 was fabulous value for money, quality and gourmet experience. Don't miss this hotel for any reason !

We were travelling with my sister and her husband. We were travel weary having had a long overnight ferry trip The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Our rooms were both very comfortable and luxurious. There was air conditioning which was very important As the weather was very warm. We had dinner in the one Michelin star restaurant which was delicious. We chose the 55 euro set menu which seemed expensive initially. However there were 2 extra courses not mentioned in the menu. Everything was delicious and the wine very affordable. Highly recommended ,
