Hôtel Bel Oranger République  

Largish room, very clean. Whole hotel looked clean and recently renovated and there were amazingly friendly English speaking staff. We stay in Paris regularly and this is easily the best hotel we have stayed in at this price. We'll be back!

The hotel was clean and about a 2min walk to the nearest metro! The room was a decent size for Paris. And bathroom was nice and in room, although it was tiny. I would stay here again, although I would rather be closer to the action!

It's really just the little things and one big one! There is no top sheet, so your kinda left wondering how often do they really wash the duvet cover! Nice light fixures, but they're not put up properly, so always crooked. No toilet paper holder, sO they just leave it on back of toilet, which was probably the dirtiest thing in room. And the big one was cleaning staff left our room door unlocked, because you really had to haul on it to close. Oops! Luckily nothing of importance missing!

The check-in, check-out was really smooth

Staff were helpful and spoke good english, were able to advise us of how to get to different sights. Close to metro and only 2 stops on metro from Gare de Nord. In nice area of Paris with 2 very good family run restaurants close by.Rooms small but comfortable and clean, very good value, would recommend and use again if I went to Paris.

Lack of mirror in room and sockets in our room where not in places where they were of much use for using our travel kettle

The personal was really nice,the room was clean and comfortable,and there was really easy acess to the metro.

Very good staff, nicest of all the hotels i've stayed at in paris. Attentive and very kind and natural make you feel at home...love their warmth and smile. Such a contrast from impersonal people in chain hotels. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and the bed so comfy and large. Love the laid back atmosphere and an off license shop right next to the hotel very nice owners...restaurants, shops everyting within 30 sec walk and also a metro. I used to hate Paris after coming previously in 3rd, 7th and 13th as well as 19th arrondissements and meeting some rude people but this area was abslutely "normal" and nice. I have decided to get a fllat there in a few months thanks to this experience. I like how in Paris its so laid back and not like in a frenzy like in London...

Not very wel soundproofed but in my case I like this as I am a solo traveler and hearing people talk, laugh or even outside work makes me relaxed and go to seep...i know weird but I just don't like total silence except on some rare occasions and depends when, where why. Still the noises were not that bad and not all night...just when ppl were coming in and out of rooms and talking but then you hear nothing so mostly from hallways.

Staff are friendly.location is good.

The price

Very clean, max. 10 min walk from Gare du Nord => very central, quiet, ideal for visiting exhibitions or business, pleasant staff, pleasant guests. Rooms basic and smallish, but everything worked and bed was comfortable All in all: very good value for money.

Great location near a metro station, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Rooms were not massive, but for the price were as expected.

The young receptionist talked to us and introduced about Paris enthusiastically.

The room was a little small.
