Well..position is simply amazing.. Champs elysee zone, in the border with Montmartre... Just 5 minutes walking to mouline rouge.. Underground is 100mts far away and turn around with it is very very easy!! The room, on the 6 floor, was very small...but it's ok...we need it just for sleep and relax...The hotel is ok!!! Enjoy!!

I started visiting Paris in 1994 and I have stayed at the same hotel every time because I really like the location and the staff; everyone is so nice and friendly and helpful with my very broken French. This time, I particularly enjoyed staying on the first level - no stairs or elevator which was very nice. When I return, I will stay again The room was a little chilly by the courtyard but it is December so I suspect that is normal; the room was very cozy and convenient.

The staff were really nice and since we had a young child with us they let us check in early! The rooms were on the small side but for a short trip it was manageable!

All was OK, just we got smoking room even if we had asked for nonsmoking when booking. Edgar in reception was nice , he is speaking french, but also knows english if you are struglling to understand :) Overall the room was small, but cosy , you can not expect very large rooms in Paris. It was cleaned every day, bathroom and shower small, but not too small that you could not fit into it :) Have not tried the breakfast, so can not comment on it. Our room was to street side, and as it is not small one , you can easily hear the transportation going and people talking, but this was not disturbing too much - after long walks in city what you do at hotel is sleep, right, so tiredness is good "medicine" here :) Overall I recomend the hotel for the ones, who do not want to live in a hotel, but are coming to Paris for exploring the city and hotel is needed only for sleeping overnight. Location is very good and we never used the Metro to get to very central Paris or next side of river - all you can easily reach by feet. it is economical and cosy hotel in a good place at a good price , but of course everything depends on expectations. Good luch to everyone - Paris is really a nice city and do not waist time sitting in a hotel - you can spend that time and sit in gardens and places - "jardins" at same time enjoyng the beaty of town ;) Internet in first flor was not very good. Maybe it is because of the rain , cha :)

Getting out of the room!Reasonably location though for the metro had to wait half an hour to check in with the receptionist (male) as he kept going off to chat someone else and the whole process took a long time. Then had a long wait for a lift that is so small you could only go in one at a time with your luggage. The card key would not work properly in the lock and had to spend a long time trying to sort it. Room very tiny and old carpets and furnishings. No air con so very uncomfortable in room and corridors especially if struggling trying to open door. No choice but to open window and was so noisy during day and evening that you may as well have been sat in middle of motorway. Was so glad to check out, my back backing days were over years ago and a little bit of comfort would have been nice. Dining room not good and breakfast was stale bread and croissants. Once food had ran out it was not topped up.

Location is pretty good. This was the cheapest Hotel we found within 3km of most attractions such as Lovrre, champs elysees, concord ect. It was within 1.5 km from opera & galary Lafayette.Hotel is for sleep only not for hanging around it. We tried to minimize our time at the small un-air conditioned room & lobby. Price and location are the only reason to choose this hotel. Rooms are tiny, bathrooms have rusty holes, halls &elevator small too.hotel has no Air Condition and some if the rooms face noisy Rue D'amsterdam.rooms cannot have more than 2 so we took a 2nd for 2 kids. If a heat wave is expected do not stay here. Our 2nd night was hot and literally a nightmare.would not return again in hot weather.

The timings of checking in, checking out and breakfast were not as restrictive as many places.ie 1pm check in 12noon check out and breakfast served until 12! Any breakfast item that ran out was not replaced that day. As we like to get up late on holiday we did not always have ham,a choice of rolls or pastries and if we asked it was still not replenished. People that ate early got better value for 8 euros than we did.

Proximity to station. It was very hot weather when I stayed, there is no a/c. Very small room. Rue Amsterdam is a very busy and noisy street. Windows in our room were very big and not double glazed or soundproofed. Noise from other rooms and lift shaft. Did not sleep very well. Hotel had debited my credit card prior to arrival. Won't stay here again.
