I liked that the staff answered every single question 3 visitors could have given to them. The really bent over backwards to make our stay in Paris a wonderful experience. When I come back to Paris, I will stay with Hotel Jarry again!!!
They let me keep my bag at the hotel after check-out. That was nice. I didn't feel so safe about leaving it there, but the staff seemed pretty confident about it's safely - and it was there when I got back :)
Bed and towels could be cleaner. The area is a little sketchy late at night and early in the morning, but it's in the centre of things so it's convenient.
Smell No elevator
Very nice budget hotel in a great location near Gare de l'Est metro station.
The room is cleaned expect under the bed! :-\
Staff was kind enough to give us our breakfast earlier than serving time because we had to leave early. Breakfast was good as well. Wi-fi is good.
For some reason, we had to do the beddings by ourselves when we checked in. They provided us with pillow cases upon arrival to put the pillows on. The hotel has no elevator, so if you're travelling with someone who'll have trouble going up small and winding staircases up to 4th or 5th floor, I won't recommend the place. The street going to the hotel is a bit scary.
Don't book this hotel, photos lies you.the worst hotel i have ever seen
access to metro, which is not a deal in Paris
something bit me at night. I had swelling points on all body
The friendly staff Good for travelers without car
Small room No parking
next to gare d l'est and gare du nord station. Surrounded by shops and restaurants. Receptionist is very helpful and we can leave our luggage after check out to spend time around the city before departure time.
No elevator and the worst is the steep stairs. It is very difficult to put the heavy luggage up.
The location is good, near the train station. the WIFI is free and strong.
I live in the topest floor and no elevator provided .The room is a little bit small and the number of facilities is limited.
Lugging heavy cases up three flights of rickety spiral staircase was the least of the exigent experiences I had. The room was mincroscopic, and wasn't serviced during the time I was there, there was no soap in the bathroom, and it isn't as close to the stations as they say it is - a problem when you've the aforesaid heavy cases. And the surrounding area is a dump.
Room was towards the back, 5th floor, clean and was nothing fancy but had the basics (good bed, little table and wardrobe, small shower and toilet). Wifi worked well and we could adjust the heating. Lots of small restaurants in the streets close to the train station. Metro station 100m away.
Extractor fan broken in the bathroom so a bit damp. Not very soundproof so can hear people trampling up the stairs a lot.
The hotel location is very close to Chateau d'eau metro station only two minutes walk and the staff is very helpful for overall it's very good for value I recommend staying there
The hotel has no elevator and the rooms are small especially the single rooms and the neighborhood at first site doesn't look very friendly at the first sight but at the end it's not that bad
Very narrow stairs.
Hotel is in good place to reach metro or train station. You can walk every morning to Montmartre for breakfast. They have balcony where you can spend evening with glass of wine. WiFi was free!!
One day after whole day out in the citi we found a room without towels. Be aware Saturday night you can hear a loud music from the african bar. Also you can hear when your neighbors flush the toilet or speaks in their room :)
Very good location and transport links with the rest of the city
Very small room
near north train station,10min walk
Intimittent wifi connection No elevator, have to carry luggage upstairs Too cold at night since there is one blanket/quilt avaiable
Free wifi in room
It has all you need for a good rest.
Very little space in the room for luggages and very narrow stairs and has no elevator.
had a good night's sleep. The wi-fi were functioning. Located in the center of town. Got good excercise walking up the five stair's with suitcases. Would have taken the elevator if it would have been one, so good thing it was not
The bed's cover felt old.
Hotel is good located near main train station Gare du Nord, but districts is not so good. Also, you will need just 20-25 minutes to go to the Louvre by walk. Hotel's staff is helpfull and pleasant.
WiFi acess in my room was very poor. Rooms and furniture inside was old. There are too many immigrants everywhere on the streets around the hotel, but if you angry russian beard man, it is doesn't matter. =0)
poor cleanliness. dirty towels tv was not function.
Generally clean, helpful staff.
Very compact, Was initially charged for three nights and not the two booked.
The place is within walking distance to train station
As a traveller the it is expected that the baggage is quite heavy , a dedicated staff should be provided to help up to carry bags to room. Only one staff available (ie only one man show...he is represnting the receptionist & all) & it was impossible for him to give attention to all
The location was great, metro behind the corner.
Late at night, I had an opportunity to meet a nice little mice (luckily only once) in the bathroom (told no member of my family otherwise we would have to leave).
