I liked best the position access to the main shopping suburbs in Paris near the Opera. The telephone bill was a exorbitant ... They do not have an hotel phone service but a subcontractor that charge local calls by the "minute" more expensive than any mobile phone company. I "local" call phone to Etihad Airlines in Paris they charged me Euros 40.00 for it, so every short local phone call was in between a$5.00 To a$10.00 Per local call so in for days 12 local calls more about a$150, sounds like "Russian Roulette" to me. They have no wireless except in the lobby! ... but they lent me a Ethernet cable for a room internet connection that they do not publicise at all! .. otherwise my telephone bill could be more than the hotel room charges! I request they refund me the Eur 40.00 they make me pay for the free call number to my local airlines in paris .. Their charges are an abuse of undisclosed powers for failing to warn me about it on arrival or any notice visibly displayed in the room. They are hidden charges.

This is the second time I have stayed at this Hotel. The staff are helpful and courteous. The Hotel is extremely well located, within easy reach of the Musee D'Orsay and the Louvre, wonderful location for shopping, walking distance from some super restaurants and also close by the Metro and the Tuilleries Gardens. Our fridge was full of mouldy food which was left by the previous guests. It hadn't been checked out on a daily basis as the food was still there three days later on our departure date, despite informing reception and housekeeping. The hairdryer in the bathroom is OK for men but for female guests hopeless, Bring your own hairdryer if you like to use one.

The rooms were extremely hot (over 30 degrees), and therefore impossible to sleep. We had to open up all windows in order to get a lower temperature in the room, but outside was heavy traffick all night and hard to sleep because of the noice). The ac did not work (it only provided more heating). The hotel staff told us they were aware of this problem - it was always like this they said, in March/April before the AC-sytem was put on.......We left one night earlier than planned and would n'ever return to this hotel nor recommend it to anyone because of this. Paying almost 300 Euro per night and not be able to sleep is not ok.

Lovely hotel with a great staff... They had special rates available so I was able to book an executive room for less the price than some ordinary rooms at other hotels!! And the location is simply fantastic! You can't get more central than this!! Since there was no bath in my bathroom, the walk in shower could've done with an update and better plumbing! One small shower head simply won't do for a hotel of this standard...

The only advantage I can say is: good location, which might also be what I feel the hotel could have made good use of to make itself better. Once and for all, nothing of the following can be praised: staff attitude (very arrogant), facility, room temperature and comfort, security standard, hospitality, breakfast quality in terms of its price, and even all the amenity you can see in the hotel. So ladis and gentlemen, think more about your booking!

Very nice staff. Always at your service and pleased to help. Very spacious room with a nice bathroom. The room was very old fashioned and not very well designed. Desk in front of a window cove and very difficult to find the internet plug. No plug for the computer cable. Light switches all over the show. Had to unplug a lamp to plug kettle in - on the floor... Room needs re-vamping. I often book hotels for clients, and wouldn't book this one - simply due to the room.

Very pretty hotel and the staff was very nice and inviting. Helped when possible. Having to pay 40 euro for a small roll a way bed for my six year daughter. I guess there was confusion between the languages. The fire alarm going off at 0700 in the morning waking my child and having me jump out of the shower wet with a rob waling out in the hall way trying to find out what is going on. Twice this happened in a matter of 30 minutes due to some tech. problems. Second problem, make sure you are not on the street side. The traffic and noise kept me awake most of the night. Did not get a good not sleep. However, the beds and the rooms are very nice.

The staff tries to do its best but there is too little staff compared with the amount of guests (especially during the mode week event...). Some people where really angry at breakfast although the staff did its utmost.

I stayed in a double room in the new wing overlooking the courtyard. Room was comfortable and very clean. It was also very quiet. You had to make sure the net curtains were drawn as people moving up or down in the elevator which has glass sides could look into the room. Breakfast Buffet was very good but was charged as an extra not included in the room rate and that was expensive. Breakfast charged as an extra see above. Wifi network did not work in the room you had to be in the lobby or drawing room.

The location is perfect, the rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly. Things that are not so evident in a Parisian hotel. It has the "glory" of an old luxury hotel but with all the modern confort.

Excellent staff, available and ready to help; good cleaning staff and quality; very good location - just on the Vendome square, next to Tuileries garden and 15 minutes walk from Louvre. Fauburg - Saint-Honore street is also nearby (you may find many cafes or shops there). In all, excellent value for money in the centre of Paris. We didn't take breakfast, so can't say if it's nice or not. In all - no negative comments.

Its location. Even though the room was fairly bright and large, it lacked the comfort and ammenities expected at a hotel within this price point.

“First, I LOVED the location which was very convenient to a Rossybus stop just behind Opera), a metro station, restaurants (just loved le Petit Vendome right across the street), high end shops, the lovely Tuilleries Garden and Seine River, and three magnificent museums: Louvre, Orangerie, and D'Orsay. Secondly, I liked the price which is very reasonable considering the neighboring hotel rates of the Ritz and Park Hyatt. I stayed in a very quiet, inner, newly refurbished and air conditioned room that was perfect for my needs. To sum it up, I look forward to my next stay at the Hotel Mansart!” Julia, Radnor |
