Staff very friendly and helpful. Location ideal, in the middle between Louvre, Tuileries, Place Vendome, shopping district and opera. Room was clean, well furnished and had a nice view. The lobby seems somewhat tiny and dark given the size and external appearance of the hotel. Minor point though. |

The hotel staff was polite and nice and the location of the hotel was excellent. Even though I adamantly requested a room in the renovated section and had Booking.com call the hotel to be sure they understood that I would cancel the booking if they couldn't guaranteed me a room in that section, upon arrival they informed me that they were very sorry but they did not have a room in the requested section. They then offered a junior suite in the old section, which we had no choice but to accept. The room was spacious but badly in need of decoration. It was plain and tacky, with terrible lighting and very poor water pressure. When I complained again the next day, they took us to see a room in the renovated section which would have been ok had it not been in the smoking section (which I had also specified I did not want) |

I appreciated the helpfulness of the staff. Someone was always ready to answer a question or provide a suggestion. It's proximity to everything I wanted to see in Paris was a huge benefit of this hotel. It was near the Lourve, shopping, wonderful restaurants, and minutes by taxi to the Eifle Tower and the Moulin Rouge. |

Location - great for doing all the "right bank" tourist features and for high end shopping. Liked having coffee & tea available to make ourselves, and the space of the executive room. Very nicely decorated, with huge closets. Beautifully appointed bathroom, with complimentary robes & slippers. Also, the hairdryer was top end - we'd had some useless models in some other hotels (Nimes, Nice). All staff were curteous and helpful. Must say, for the price that we paid, we expected nothing less. We chose the hotel for the size of the room - wanted space after spending 7 nights on a river cruise. Street noise. Ask for a courtyard room to avoid that. Also the TV had only two English channels - you are better off if you know Arabic. Staff did not always ensure that cups & tea were replenished, and when someone broke the lightbulb, I had to ask to have it replaced, including a second request before the job was completed. Had to call for cups as well. Service Calls generated prompt service - use that instead of the desk. All minor stuff, but it's the difference between a hotel of true excellence and one that is merely aspiring. |
