The location was excelent. Although it was a 2* hotel I think it deserved more, the rooms were beautiful and the staf was friendly The bathroom was maybe too small |

Admired the architecture, cobbled streets. Visited excellent Beaux Arts Gasllery, Flea market and ate very good mussels and oysters. Room very small with no outloook |

Staff is very nice. Perfect location! Room was very good. Our room was on the 5th floor and there was no elevator. The rooms were small. |

We liked the modern bathrooms, the comfortable beds, and the convenience of the location. There was quite a bit of street noise in the early morning from the street sweepers and delivery trucks. |

The location is excellent (a 5-miute walk from the train station and in a pedestrian mall), the staff are very friendly and helpful, the room is modern and well designed, and the breakfast is great. It is not for people with a mobility handicap, as there are many stairs but not elevator. |

Very centrally located, good decor, friendly helpful staff. We particularly liked our room as it was at the front with a great view of the local pedestrian streets (an interesting quirky rounded shape too (superior room) Comfortable mattress, decent breakfast at a surprisingly fair price (staff went out of their way to top up any croissants etc even when breakfast time was ending.) No lift so being on the third floor left one slightly puffed! No bad thing though when there are croissants and pain au chocolat's to work off! |

The staff were extremely pleasant, the breakfast was very good, and the location was great for the Christmas Market and city centre in general The room was very, very small. It was OK because we are not big people and we only had a little luggage. And all we wanted it for was a base for a couple of nights so we coped, but it wouldn't have done for a longer stay. |

The best location you can get in Lille. The kindness of the employers, specially the 2 girls on the front desk. Maitress very comfortable. Basically, I liked everything. Can not talk about the breakfast because I didn't use it... |

Great location. Right in the centre of Lille. Really comfortable bed. Beautiful bathroom. Clean and modern. No lift - only stair access to rooms. Street outside quite noisy at night. Quite difficult to find as entrance is not on Rue de Bethune as address suggests. |

Great location, close to the Metro and really amazing staff. I was in Lille on business but really enjoyed my stay! There were no real facilities at the hotel - no tea or coffee making in the bedroom and no restuarant of sorts. It's just rooms and a reception |

The Hotel Kanai is very cental,good for shoping, lots of restaurant and is very busy during the day and very quit at night.I would recommend this for it location There was no lift and no facility for making hot drinks in the room or any were in the hotel. |

Well placed and pleasant Not suitable for anyone who could not manage lots of stairs. Reception on first floor a bit awkward. Lille was disappointing and the Christmas market was a bit of a joke. |

Very convenient for the centre of Lille. Surprisingly little noise from the streets outside. Simple and clean. Internal noise could be a problem, as our room was next to the stairs. |

staff, standard of accommodation Our request for a third bed in one of our rooms, on the original booking and separately by email to the hotel was ignored, and there was no room for them to put one in the room we had been allotted. The hotel was full and they could not offer an alternative room - they were very helpful in providing us with extra bedding but my son did have to sleep on the floor. |

The location was great and the bed was extremely comfortable. The walls are paper thin and you can hear all the noise that your neighbours are making. The shower was cold, and the heating didn't work. Co-incidentally, another British family with the same name as us was also booked in on the same night and this caused plenty of confusion with the reception staff!! |
