Kyriad Lyon - Perrache - Confluence  

The hotel room (a superior room) was large and very clean. It was good to have a kettle in the room for late-night cups of tea/coffee. The bed was unusually large, particularly for France, where most hotels provide a double rather than a queen or king size. The bed in the superior room at the Kyriad was king size and was very comfortable. The furnishings were modern and business-like, so lacking in charm but completely functional. The hotel is near the autoroute, but the rooms are soundproofed and the windows are double-glazed. The restaurant was very good. Business-like but with an excellent menu and very friendly and fast staff. The three course menu was of very good quality and excellent value for money. The location is in an area that is being renovated from an industrial area to an area of new apartments, an aquatic centre etc. Where the Kyriad is still needs some work but it will all improve within the next year. A new tram line will connect with Stade de Gerland on the other side of the river and hence make journeys in that direction much quicker.

Definitely you get more than the money paid. Close the center of the city for good walkers.

Fantastic accommodation for such a cheap price. Was a much better quality hotel than we were expecting for the price we paid. Location was good as well. About 10-15min walk to Lyon-Perrache station where Metro/Trams/Buses or train to Paris is easily accessable.

The location is great! Very close to public transport. Shops are only a short walk away. All the staff are very polite.

Very small rooms, unfriendly neighborhood

The hotel is clean. Rooms on the back of the street are quite. Is in a older building that has big windows. Free wirless access. Parking avaliable for a fee of 18 Euro per car including tax. For the rate we pay, it is a good experience. From the back of the hotel you can see part of old Lyon which is pretty cool.

The location seems to be not too far from where we spotted prostitutes. We droved by, so it was not a big concern. But walking could be scary. The room is tiny which did not bother us, but could be troublesome for others.

A clean and comfortable space nice bed. 24 reception at the desk. Air conditioned room. Close to Perrache train station and metro lines. Restaurants just a few blocks away.

Pretty far from all the sites around Lyon. If you're not a strong walker you'll need somewhere closer because even the nearest metro is ten or so minutes on foot. Never got the feeling the neighborhood was bad, but there is a structure close by that looks like it could be a prison. Also the properties restaurant and bar are closed for dinner Saturday and Sunday. Personally I think that's ridiculous.

Location was very poor. Not only was it far from the city center, it was also quite a walk to the train station. The walk was not pleasant either as it was in a "not very nice" area.
