Kyriad Paris 10 - Gare du Nord  

Location

Facilities are very old and outdated. Room was tiny, under the rafters so no headroom and too hot. Lift is tiny and difficult to access with luggages because of stairs in front of the door. Staff was rude and unhelpful.

Locatation is perfect just in front central train station

Location-literally 50 steps from Gare du nord station in Paris. The staff spoke very limited English but if you can jam together an iota if French they do everything they can to assist you!

Someone else's hair in the typically itty bitty French shower stall in the room.

Cleanliness

The hotel location, it is very convenient for travellers arriving on the Eurostar and it is also very easy to access most areas in Paris The rooms clean and comfortable. Lots of reasonably priced eating places nearby.

2 out of 3 rooms had hairdriers that didn't work (I had phoned the hotel to ask if there were hair driers in the rooms). We did report this at reception. No toiletries in one of the rooms on the 1st night No milk, coffee etc. on the 2nd day in the same room + the used cups hadn't been replaced People staying in room 336 told me there was a musty smell in their bathroom The lack of provision for guests to leave their luggage on the last day: I am a regular traveller to France and have never experienced this before. We were told that we should use lockers at Gare du Nord. This is my first stay in a Kyriad hotel, is the lack of luggage room the norm?

For our needs the location was great. Rooms was clean, beds comfortable and an excellent shower unit

Stated free wi-fi, though technically correct, the free element was extremely limited. If full use was required then an additional charge applied. Would rather they were upfront about this on the website

Close to the train station.

Very very noisy bedroom. We could hear the lift trough the night making really loud, prolonged and screeching noises. The cleaners threw our pyjamas on the floor to do the bed and left them there and on our checkout they tried to overcharge us debating what we have booked through booking.com.

Easy to go everywhere round paris,restaurants and supermarket are within reach

Staff very friendly and helpfull, clean and comfortable rooms, proximity to gare du nord station, very practical.

The lobby is a bit small but it's ok.

Close to the station

There was no provision for a good dinning for breakfast, lunch or dinner or supper. It was very noisy as you could people talking from the next room or hear the lift moving or when the lift is being shut. One of the staff on Friday 6/4/13 afternoon was very rude to the extent my daughter and to show him our key card before we could to to our room. That was the first time we were asked which was very embarrassing. Though the room and the toilet were fairly clean but more cleaning should be done. Example, the areas around the door, the edges in the shower which is turning green. It would take the clean 5 minutes to do. All the carpets should be changed with new carpets or wooden floors. People will pay more for quality and cleanliness. I wouldn't have booked it if I have known what I know now. I would recommend Paris to others travellers but not Kyriad Paris 10 -Gare du Nord

Location can not be better if you are traveling with luggage. It is literally right accros the street from Gau de Nord Station. Very clean and quiet. But small.

This hotel has the smallest rooms ever! Even by European standards.

it was right in front of gare du nord station.. there were LOADS of restaurant nearby and very accessible to tourist spots

Very conveniently located if you are using the train. It is just in front of the Station.

I had my laptop stolen and the answer I received was that those things happen! I was even asked if I was sure I had closed the door when leaving. Amazing that nobody seem to care or be surprised by it.

To be honest, it's a great place to stay and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. The only fly in the proverbial ointment was that the carpet didn't look like it had been hoovered.
