We have stayed here before as it is convenient for a nearby sporting event and provides safe parking. The facilities are fairly basic but the hotel is clean and friendly and provides free wifi. There is a small lounge and bar and a continental breakfast is available. The rooms are very small and only one person can walk around at one time otherwise you will be knocking into door handles etc. Despite asking for a no-smoking room our room smelt badly of stale cigarettes and from what we could see there were no specific no smoking rooms.

The excellent restaurant. The bedroom and bathroom were small and pokey. We had more room in our cabin on the ferry goingn back to England. The plug in the bathroom basin didn't work. The tray of coffee and tea only had one carton of milk, only one tea and one coffee and hardly any sugar - very stingy.

This hotel is typical of the module hotels which has sprung up in the last decade in France. There is no lift to the floors, the rooms are small, the toilet.shower is tiny about 1 square metre. This hotel should be charging only €20 a night maximum. We paid 55 euros which is far too much for such an awful hotel. The Hotel closes at 10pm at night. In the morning the receptionist tried to charge extra taxes on the room. I told her this was incorrect, she insisted in a very unfriendly manner. I showed her the booking reservation with the final price. She was very unhappy and did not apologize to us but made the bill correct. This hotel is awful, the staff are awful facilities almost zero. I would never stay again at this hotel

The very friendly, helpful staff and the general standard of cleanliness of the hotel - the bedroom, shower room and public areas of the hotel were all spotless. The pillows were very cheap and uncomfortable.

Well, the location in Loire Valley. They should make sure that people do not smoke in non smoking rooms. Also people at reception could be a little bit more friendlier. Also the room could be better isolated, as you could hear the people in the rooms close by.

The only concern we had about the hotel was the quality of the food served in the evening. It didn't match the overall quality of the hotel.

It was OK. The bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have the breakfast, but it looked popular. If you're there on a Sunday morning, ask for directions to the square near the church, where you'll find a nice terrace cafe and a food market. As I say, it's OK. Think of a chocolate brown and slightly worn Travelodge, and you'll get the picture. Of course, it's budget, so you don't expect the Ritz - but we stayed at the Ace Hotel in Clermont-Ferrand two weeks earlier, which is in the same price bracket, but was much fresher, smarter and more modern. No complaints, though: it was fine for an overnight stop, which is why I've ticked 'yes' in the recommendation box below. For us, though, staying in Tours itself would probably have been better in retrospect.

The furniture was new and was a pleasant change from the rather shabby aspect of the corridor; free WiFi, working very well; very nice personnel; hotel was clean, very good value for money. The parking lot proved to be insufficient; we stayed during the Ascension weekend when the hotel was fully booked, hence the large number of cars. If you arrive late at night, you'll end up either parking on a small plot of grass or half blocking the access. The walls were extremely thin, you could hear your neighbour entering into his room like it was yours. Get a room at the far end of the corridor. Location was not particularly the best one, in the middle of a commercial area, but Tours centre was just 10 min drive. Take your own car, taxis are rather expensive (24-25 Eur for a trip to Tours' centre).

Mattress very comfortable so you could get a good sleep. Door slamming - as doors have no handle on the outside they are quite often slammed. This is annoying, particularly early in the morning.
