Very good service and great location!
Central location, friendly staff, nice bed.
Really small toilet, I mean reeaally small.
Absolutely in the centre of Nantes which made it a little difficult to find but wonderful to have on site parking. Hotel very nice and they serve an excellent breakfast.
The location is brilliant - right in the centre of the city, across the road from the Chateau. Not too big a hotel and run by young and enthusiastic staff. There is a good choice of breakfast ( 7-10am) but get to the salon well before it closes for the best choices. Parking outside the hotel is non existent due to its central location but there is room for 4 cars in the underground car park below the hotel. This costs 10 Euro per night but it is safe and worth it for the location. Parking MUST be reserved when you book.
The interior decor of the hotel corridors, reception and breakfast salon is all very dark which makes moving around the hotel a bit sombre and even difficult when you're trying to find the key hole for your room key! However there are lights which are operated by automatic movement sensors so you aren't in the dark ! The bedrooms are comfortable, well furnished and bright colours.
The hotel is situated directly opposite the castle in Nantes. Walking distance to old centre, literally 2 minutes to the cathedral. Rooms and lobby have a boutique feel although you wouldn't strictly class this as a boutique hotel. Secure parking, a warm welcome and good value. Air conditioning a plus.
Faint unpleasant smell in bathroom (room #40) was really the only negative.
The L'Hotel was the perfect choice of a place to stay at the end of a cycle tour of the Brest Nates canal. The hotel is bright, clean, and friendly set in an excellent location for sight seeing and shoping. Very good value for a city hotel and and a quality breakfast.
Friendly staff, close to City Centre, parking on site, comfortable, quiet - we were in a room at the rear and couldn't hear the noise from the travelling fair across the road. A good tip from the owner about restaurants.
Excellent position, spotlessly clean, superb breakfast, lovely private terrace outside our room, parking on site.
We were not aware that a tradion fair would be just across the road. We will be careful not to go back at the same time of year .
Comfortable room. Breakfast good. But somehow it´s a bit too much black colour, walls and furniture.
Breakfast was good. The room was comfortable.
Comfortable modern room with excellent lighting
Breakfast room very small Shower screen lets water onto the floor
A clean, comfortable, up-scale boutique hotel. The room was spacious and well decorated without a lot of fussy gadgets. It is right at main tram and bus lines but close enough to the center of town and major sights to walk to most things. The staff was very helpful and attentive. A great hotel in a great city. I will definitely be making a return visit to the city and the this hotel!
Inability to connect with Wi-Fi but computer available to guests so nice to have that back-up. Can think of no real negatives.
Location Facilities Staff helpful Good breakfast selection
No air-conditioning but it was not a problem
Location...ideal for tourism....right on the green line. Staff were friendly. Clean
No air conditioning Noisy area at night
Staff is very friendly and kind. The breakfast was great. The location is very convenient and great to see Nantes city.
Water of the shower was splashed and the floor got very wet.
Shower was broken and curtain rail about to break! Was a nightmare to locate even with Sat nav due to road works around! Not enough parking on site
the hotel is situated a few minutes away from pedestrian area and has its own parking for reasonable price. The room, where we stayed, had very good isolation. The breakfast was also good with a big choice.
Very central, friendly staff, good sized room
Location near city centre, nice decoration all over, private garage, I had a room with a splendid vue!
The location was great, the decor and rooms are nice. Comfortable bed and nice products in bathroom.
The receptionist didn't greet us and overall had a poor attitude - she kept reminding of the price as if there would be an issue with payment. The room smelt like smoke, asked to move which was accomodatated. The breakfast is in a rediculously small space.
Every member of staff was very welcoming and helpful despite my poor French. Location was great, 5 mins to all the bars/restaurants and train station. Its a good, small, well run hotel.
Toilet seat was cracked slightly and there was no door to the shower room (there is to the small toilet) which was bizarre. Didnt bother us as we were a couple but can imagine others might. Room was also smaller then i imagined from the pics.
Very quiet room.
Location Staff Breakfast
No water in rooms No mini-bar Not enough towels Open plan bathroom
The bathroom is separated from the rest of the room by a simple curtain and the heating is with splitter fan coil
The location: right across from the castle of the dukes and near the train station. The breakfast: the front desk said "continental", but don't be fooled! It includes also hot dishes like scrambled eggs and sausages, as well as large selections of bread and other goodies. The service: we arrived late in the evening and the staff was still very attentive in helping us setup the infant crib. Overall the staff are very friendly.
My only very small complaint is that the hallways are somewhat bizarrely laid out. To get to our room on the (European) second floor, we took an elevator up, then down a mini-flight of five steps, walked down a hallway, then down a few more small steps, passed a landing, and then up a few more steps. So travellers with really heavy luggages beware!
The bedrooms are stylishly furnished and very comfortable. Buffet breakfast has a lot of choice. Although there is no restaurant, you can have drinks and snacks and there is a very nice restaurant, La Vie de Chateau, next door to the hotel. The location is excellent, opposite the castle and cathedral and within an easy walk of shops, restaurants and the station. The three members of staff that we met were all extremely helpful and friendly. There is secure garage parking.
Nothing, we loved this hotel and will definitely return.
