This beautiful 18th-century manor sits in a large garden with furnished terrace, in the heart of Saint-Martin-de-Ré. It has a spa and elegant guest rooms, each with a personalized decor. All of the rooms’ names at La Baronnie - Domaine Du Bien-Etre are inspired by the island's prestigious past. Most of them overlook the garden or the town's rooftops. A full buffet breakfast is served every morning in the country-style dining room, on the terrace or in the garden. Many bars and restaurants are located near La Baronnie. The spa facilities include a counter-current swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool and a treatment room. From La Baronnie- Domaine Du Bien-Etre you have an easy access to the port. The room was very tastefully decorated - in a pretty "beach house" style. The location was excellent for exploring St Martin and the rest of the Ile de Re. Very close to the harbour with plenty of restaurants just yards away . Great for anyone who wanted to hire bikes and use the hotel as a base. The hotel had a lovely rear garden with plenty of shade which would be great for chilling out in the summer. The spa pool was expensive - especially for two people as the "endless" pool is only really big enough for one person to swim at a time. Didn't have time to try the treatments on our short stay but they looked much better value.

Excellent position, lovely staff, peaceful grounds Calling this "Hotel & Spa" is very misleading. The Spa is very small and very expensive, £52 for one hour! The pool is not a swimming pool, more a spa tub. This hotel wasn't the "Spa Hotel" we were expecting You cannot get a drink in the hotel & "the rules" say no food & drink on the premises, how bizarre? Breakfast (cold buffet) although good was also v expensive at £13 each extra If you take a car expect to pay £12 a night to park it on their premises.

Stayed for 3 nights June 2012 after an early Eurotunnel crossing. Our room was an attic room in the main hotel which I understand is where couples are usually put, with families staying in the larger rooms of the separate Baronnie building. Our room was beautifully furnished and decorated with a cool white-washed wood style, with a good sized and equipped ensuite. The location of the hotel is great with a few seconds stroll taking you to the harbour and restaurants and shops. We ate at Le Skipper and Bistrot Marin both of which were exceptionally good in their own way. If you like a full buffet breakfast with a variety of meats and cheese etc then you can eat at the hotel for Euro16 - we chose instead to have a more simple but lovely continental breakfast harbourside at Le Belem for Euro7.40. Parking at the hotel is additional Euro10-15 per night but is secure and hassle free. We loved exploring the island which feels unspoilt and has a brilliant selection of atlantic coast wild beaches and more sheltered coves on the north side, as well as a number of interesting villages (best is La Flotte) and the town of St Martin itself is wonderful with great shops and restaurants and a busy harbour with battlements to explore. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel where we received excellent and attentive service from the owner and reception staff, and in particular would like to thank Marina for her friendly help and recommendations.

Very relaxing. Friendly staff. Beautiful building, lovingly restored. Good location. Basically very expensive for just a room. Lack of restaurant which we new before we booked but could benefit from one..

Nous avons apprécié le calme, la décoration des lieux, la propreté, les jardins magnifiques, le végétation. L'accueil est très sympathique. Nous aurions apprécié que les toilettes soient séparées de la salle de bain.

L écrin de verdure qui abrite un pavillon très confortable et dans nos goûts . Le petit déjà varié et de qualité . La situation centre ville et calme en même temps et l accueil chaleureux . Rien ne nous a déplu.

localisation centre ville proche du port très jolie la bâtisse ancienne avec jardin fleurie meublée avec goût accueil personnalisé petit déjeuner parfait copieux et varié literie beaucoup trop molle tarif élevé par rapport aux prestations toutes payantes sur place (parking, SPA)

L'emplacement ..nous étions près du port et en même temps en retrait ..jardins et bâtisses superbes , calme. La chambre très confortable, le personnel accueillant et sympathique.Un très bon séjour

la proximité du port et de la ville. la chambre au 2ème étage, pour les personnes plus âgées, non précisée sur le site booking. (un ascenseur est bientôt prévu). les sets de table en pvc et les serviettes de table en papier ! pas en harmonie avec le cadre, chargé d'histoires et très beau.

Nous regrettons que l'accés au spa soit en supplément quand on voit le prix des chambres!!! les suppléments pour le petit-déjeuner et la place de parking 15 € alors que nous sommes dans la cour de l'hotel. Nous avions reservé dans un autre hotel le spa et la piscine étaient compté dans le prix de la chambre.

Staff molto cordiale e gentile Luogo incantevole Colazione deliziosa Camera Le Richelieu, molto confortevole, letto comodissimo Peccato per la Spa/Jacuzzi a pagamento ma soprattutto da riservare, forse è un servizio che potrebbero gestire diversamente

le décor de la chambre dans un style ancien(château), les parties communes (escalier et plancher en bois de chêne et immense bibliothèque d'époque) l'accueil du personnel, la proximité avec le port et les commerces de saint martin de ré. le petit déjeuner trop cher (16€/personne) trop sommaire rien d'exceptionnel par rapport au cadre de l'hôtel. ambiance petit déj. un peu froide et personnel du matin peu aimable (décalé par rapport à celui de la veille)

En premier lieu l'accueil exceptionnel, le sourire du personnel et leur disponibilité. Puis en second lieu le charme des chambres personnalisées avec du mobilier ancien correspondant au manoir. Un grand moment de bonheur.
