Once an old farm house, this hotel has retained its country style design, with the added modernity such as free Wi-Fi access. It is half a mile from Porte d’Italie in Paris. All soundproofed apartments at the La Ferme Des Barmonts are furnished in a farmhouse style and features double glazed windows, private bathroom, and fully equipped kitchen. Artist’s studios and most apartments have a private terrace that has access to the grounds. Guests at the Des Barmonts can also taste traditional French wines for the hotel’s cellar while enjoying a barbecue. In the area there are a few oriental and French restaurants. There is the metro station, Villejuif Léo Lagrange and buses 300 yards away, which can take you into Paris. Hotel is nice and we had plenty of room for 4 people (loft style room). It was about a 5-minute walk to the Metro and even though we felt safe walking as a group at night, may not be suitable for walking by yourself. Breakfast was available, but you have to reserve it the day before, and the staff did not tell you this up front, so we were not able to do so.

We like the layout of the apartments, well designed with inner courtyards. Lookout from windows not congested, roomy. Can feel the owners want to give extras to their guests. Which we experience, even for a short stay. We like Sam & Kate, and wish they will tie their knot soon! They gave very good introductions and tips for us to make our trip so pleasent. The way to get there. We were lost using the GPS! But Sam was kind in helping us.

The room was clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was an easy walk to the Metro station. The sofa bed was as hard as a rock, which made love-making less than comfortable. No discount was offered on the room price.

Stayed in a 3 room apartment, around 10min easy walking to the metro station (pink line), fast food nearby, supermarkets, spacious secure underground parking, two comfortable bedrooms with 2 beds each in the upper floor, one double sofabed in the ground floor, tv with satellite channels from many many countries, kitschen with microwave, fridge, extras, babycots allright, security codes for entrance in the night. In synopsis, a well balanced hotel, considering the town, for a family. Perhaps the fact that I reached the hotel in the night with 4 kids and received not the slightest assistance to carry few luggages upstairs was a little frustrating and disappointing at least from a humanitarian point of view, the access to the three room apartment is deadal, which turns to be somewhat incovenient for carrying things, the parking entrance is tight only at the tip of the corridor which leads to the underground place so it needs increased attention at this point, but the parking is all in all super for a limousine car. Noisy a bit in the nights, I guess during summers that would be even more striking. They didnt change the bedsheets for a 3 night stay, they had however enough towels for the 6 of us. Didnt check the internet but if you go for 3 nights to Paris and stick to the net then you are in need of a psychologist...

With 2 young teens and an 8 year old, we had enough space, and the kitchen facilities were helpful. Shower was also good. Location may seem distant from Paris center, but metro is close by and convenient, and a good grocery store, bakery and ATM were all nearby too. The entrance to the parking lot is, as we had read, tight, but doable with our family car. Nothing special, but exactly what we needed. Nothing really, though it could have been cleaner. Nothing serious.

Good and convenient location within two blocks of a subway station (#7 pink line) and a grocery store (Casino chain). 20Min to Notre Dame - 40min to Eifel tower. Clean family suites with furnished kitchenette (you will probably need to buy disposable cups/glasses). Access code is provided for after front-desk hours, however you will need to let them know if you are arriving after 9:00pm. Good underground parking lot with properly sized entrance for cars up to minivan size. Not large enough for people-carrier size (9-people vans). Parking is free of charge but you can park on the street if you want as neighborhood is pretty safe. Front desk guys are pleasant to deal with and do handle sufficient English for what is needed. Sky light has a remote switch on the room's wall to close the roof-mounted electronic blinds at night. Would go back next time for sure. Clothing washer and dryer in the basement are awfully slow machines (2 hours to wash a simple cycle) and you pay 4 euros for each load / each machine.

The location to the Metro was excellent - 5 minute walk. The hotel was in a busy area but quiet at night. We stayed in an apartment. There are tables and chairs outside of each apartment. We shopped for food and ate dinner outside of our apartment. The courtyard was lovely. There are many comments about the parking facility. It is a narrow drive going down hill into a roomy underground parking facility. We drove a Toyota Highlander - scraped the front bumper going in but drove out without incident - still narrow but one of us was out navigating! The angle of the drive going in made it a bit tricky. I think that a larger suv would not fit. There are parking places on the street.

Well, we didn't stay here, so can not report on this hotel....At arrival they told us that there was a problem with the room, so they arranged another hotel nearby, which was good. Although they could have informed us before arrival, I appreciated they walked us to the other hotel, and I appreciated that they arranged another hotel for us.

Excellent position for visiting the sights of Paris. The Metro is just round the corner and it took us less than half an hour to get to the Eiffel Tower. The apartment was fairly clean, but the decor needs an overhaul, although I believe they are in the process of doing this now. Great for a one or two night stop but the state of the decor meant I wouldn't want to stay longer. Also the sofa bed was really uncomfortable, but that's just a personal opinion. Overall would recommend for a quick Paris trip, especially if, like us, you have three young children.

The location, while a bit far from center and not ideal for those arriving by public transport, it was perfect for us as we were driving our rental car through France and did not want to drive right into the center of Paris. It is just outside the Périphérique, so it was easy to drive in and out, and with a metro station just a few steps away, easy to reach all the sights. There is a supermarket right beside, so we could take advantage of their well-equipped kitchenette and save money by making our own breakfasts and dinners. We had everything we needed, they even have a computer for guest use. Very practical and comfortable. The bathroom, toilet and kitchen counter were close to needing renovation. Still clean, but a little used and old look. By the pictures in their pamphlet, other units seem completely new, so I hope that ours will also be soon redone.

We loved that the apartment had a loft bedroom and a nice sized fully equipped kitchen. A flat screen tv made the kids happy and we enjoyed a hot shower every morning. The street noise wasn't bad at all. You can enjoy a patio table outside your room if you would like. The hotel is a block away from a large supermarket, a small bakery and the metro station. The ride is about 10-15 min. To the center, depending on which stop you want. We are a family of four and loved the location and ease of this hotel. The staff spoke some English, we're friendly and helped with any questions. The premises locks at 7 or 8 pm and you use your key code to get in, so you feel very safe. The neighborhood isn't bad and we didn't see anything that made us uneasy. Easy navigation to the hotel if you are driving yourself. The maids don't wear their hair up so I did find long black hair all over the apartment, grossed me out but everything else was clean. I read that other visitors had written that there wasn't ventilation or enough windows for hot weather. We visited in May so the weather wasn't too stifling hot. There is only one window above the loft that opens upward. It would be extremely hot during the summer months. The parking garage is under the hotel with enough space for at least 10 cars. The ramp to go down is tight and many people have scraped their cars on the sides. SUV's are not recommended!
