The room was spacious, clean, and the gardens were well kept. The WiFi was very useful. The room lacked modern facilities, such as television, complimentary shampoo etc.the curtains and towels had seen better days. |

Size of room and standard of facilities -- breakfast was a treat with a number of items made in the house. The location is 'isolated' in a small village so if one has travelled all day it is tough trying to find a place to eat close and available (S\unday the village is closed) |

The large, spacious rooms were beautiful. Good breakfast. The showers in the bathtub were a bit awkward. |

This was a lovely place to stay and the owners were very friendly. Unfortunately we had to leave early so we missed out on the breakfast (8.30am to 9.30am). Luckily I had read the reviews beforehand to know we had to pay in cash so I was prepared! I would definitely stay here again. |

We thaught we had booked a Hotel, but it was BB only, with nearest resturant 7 Km away. Will continue to book with you, but will check it's a Hotel with resturant. |

Guests should note that La Gentilhommiere is essentially a b&b, not a hotel. So you get a very warm welcome from the owner and her daughter and are given personal attention. Manvieux is a bit out in the sticks, which makes for a wonderfully restful night. Breakfast, shared with fellow guests around a large table, was excellent if somewhat elaborate. We'd have been happy with Croissants and coffee. |

Good value for money Not being able to pay by debit card. Having booked on the web and given card details I had not expected this (and yes I know now that it says it on the booking page ) - so I had to make a 20 mile drive to get cash to pay the bill. |

Nice quiet country side hotel. Not fancy, but rooms were spacious, clean, nice decor, comfortable. Breakfast was good but simple. Price was very reasonable. Close to Utah beach, American Cementary, Pont du Hoc, Bayeux. If on a budget, would recommend. |

Breakfast was good, sweets were good but no coffee or tea making facilities were available in the room when you come back late in the evening.Would like the option to pay by cheque (french cheque) and if this suggestion is accepted, perhaps it should be shown as an option available at the time of booking. Would also like covered parking for bicycles or motorbikes. Bathroom was cold : No heating, no hair drier available, no water protection guard for the shower. No blankets available in the bed-room for cold evenings and nights. Shower-bath soap would be good instead of hand wash soap. Would like the hotel to have more publicity pamphlets for local events and places to visit. |

The hotel is wonderful, there is not a single thing wrong with it; calm, well located, big rooms, clean. Breakfast is very nice, the home made brioche and the jam are unforgettable! The "lady from the hotel" is extremely kind, helpful and friendly. We recommend La Gentilhommiere to everyone ! |
