La Grange de Sophie

Owners were friendly and accommodating. The place itself was delightful; clean, tidy and well designed.

It was stylish, light, spacious, and very clean - actually, it was immaculate. Sophie and her husband Christophe were extremely friendly, and Sophie provided beautiful breakfasts (we stayed four nights) with home-made accompaniments. My wife and I cannot speak too highly of it - and we are pretty demanding! To answer the question directly, we liked everything.

The accommodation was spotless. Both Sophie and her husband were most helpful especially in suggesting a local restaurant in Hesdin. Breakfast was typically continental - plenty of fruit and yoghurt, croisants and pastries (homemade). We were only staying the one night on our way back to the Channel Tunnel but would do the same again.

We liked the very tasteful decor, amazing cleanliness, delicious breakfast & perfect hosts.

The welcome was friendly, the accomodation spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. An excellent continental breakfast provided with the opportunity to meet and chat to other guests who on our stay were from a number of different European countries.

The location is a little remote and difficult to find. If you want to eat out in the evening it is necessary to drive into Hesdin about 5 kilometers away. However it is worth making the journey in order to experience what La Grange de Sophie has to offer.

Lovely clean geusthouse which we stayed at between paris and the Eurotunnel. Great breakfast. Had to drive a little way to find somewhere to eat at night. Highly recommended

This is one of the best B&B's I have stayed in. Location is Vieil Hesdin rather than Hesdin but is about 75 minutes from Eurotunnel. Sophie is a delight and I can't fault anything about our stay.

Eating out means a 15 minute drive to the town of Hesdin but there is plenty of parking and Hesdin is full of good restaurants

Our hosts were lovely and friendly. The place is amazing, beautiful, clean. I would recommend to everyone. We hope to go back in September.

Wow! If you want to stay somewhere in this region this is the place to go. Wonderful hosts , most helpful with finding us a place for dinner. The house itself is beautiful and full of character and charm, a real testimony to anne-sophie's ability to furnish a b&B. Your stay is great value for money and the breakfast was something to behold with so many home made jams, cakes etc . thank you so much to you both. We hope to return someday.

everything... sophie was so polite and husband so friendly with us. room was so large and clean ,shower room was top notch and seperate toilet also nice.breakfast was continenal as it is in france,but was with home grown jams and apple juice. only 3 rooms and sophie showed us around as we were the only ones there at the time.. all rooms different and all very nice. so quite and its a barn conversion (2 years).well decorated and a nice feel all around. parking on site and a quite road. loved the stay and wish we could stay there... and own it .. perfect. who recommend to all my friends

Wir möchten uns auf diesem Wege bei Sophie und ihrer Familie für deren warmherzigen Empfang bedanken. Die stimmungsvolle Einrichtung ihrer Zimmer, das überaus reichhaltige Frühstück mit selbstgemachten Konfitüren und die freundliche, offene Art der Gastgeberin und ihres Mannes haben uns das recht durchwachsene nordfranzösische Wetter sehr schnell vergessen lassen. "La grange de Sophie" ist in jedem Fall einen Umweg wert! Ein weiterer Pluspunkt: Sophie spricht prima deutsch!

Zeer warm onthaal bij de gastvrouw, spontane madam, meer dan lekker ontbijt met zelgemaakte confituren en zelfgemaakte yoghurt, versgebakken pannenkoeken en tarteletjes ('s morgens) njam, njam. Geen personeel, Sophie verzorgde alles zelf.

Echt tegenvallen kan je het niet noemen maar we vonden dat er toch een stoeltje of taboeret ontbrak in de badkamer.
