Booked at short notice only an hour or two before arrival, the owner was very welcoming, gave a choice of rooms, stayed in the older Norman building, very interesting features, lovely grounds and friendly dog. Splendid breakfast with lots of home made preserves to choose from.

Denis was a superb host and rightly passionate about his house. It is marmite place either your taste or not and we loved it. The house is brimming with character and the hosts had given a lot of personal touches making it very homely and comfortable. Breakfast was served on a large trenchermen table in very old beamed room with inglenook fireplace and messanine like room above with oak balustrades. Choice of coffee or whatever teas you wanted, local Camembert freshly home made bread and jams. Denis spoke good English and there was a French couple staying and Denis went out of his way to include us in the conversation. Typical Normandy house dating back 500 years in Beautiful gardens.

We had the Pigionairre and toilet was along landing which was difficult if needed to get up in night, but old building so layout is as it is. No tea and coffee facilities but we didn't ask for anything and we were told that help was available if needed, but would be nice and also glasses for drinking water would be welcome. We would happily return so major issues at all for us.

Unusual hotel, full of charm, with beautiful rooms in a country setting. We liked it so much that we booked to stay again for a second night on our return trip back home.

    we liked it all
