The location was great. Room was very small - I hadn`t slept in a single bed for a long time in an attic type room. However, it was fitting for the period of the hotel - 200 years ol.
Toilet was on another floor
Reasonable position on edge of Marais district. Reception staff were helpful with luggage, taxis, etc. Room was basic & bathroom needed updating but was ok for just 2 nights.
Little expensive given the basic room and dirty hallway carpet etc.
I knew it was a good rate for Paris - and near the Metro and great food - but the quality of the room I was given didn't feel quaint, but like living in a slum. The people next to my room were very loud and the smell cigarette smoke came into the room. Fortunately you can open the windows & have a nice view. There was a small sink in the room and a desk. The linens were clean.
There is either a TINY toilet OR a TINY shower on each floor. I didn't feel comfortable using these facilities. It felt very seedy. The room I had looked nothing like what was pictured. It was very old and definitely not in a cute way. It felt like staying at a flop house. I forgot or didn't realize breakfast was offered and the hotel staff didn't mention it upon check in, but when I came downstairs to check out in the morning I saw several guests having what looked to be breakfast. I hadn't budgeted time to stop for a meal and had to head to the airport. The staff didn't know that though and still made no mention that it would be possible. There were no maps or information offered either. It wasn't necessary for me, but if you are new to Paris that might be something you'd like. I've found better, more quaint, spacious & charming accommodations for lower prices in better Parisian neighborhoods. It was sort of a bait and switch if you ask me. All in all it was fine, but it felt like a rip off for the quality of the room and facilities.
Quaint old hotel in a good location,
Breakfast was poor. Consisted of bread rolls with jam and butter and a fruit compote. Better to eat at local cafe
No lift. Shared shower on a different floor. Not v. clean.
We got bedbugs in our room, bloodstains on sheet and bites all over the body. The hotel looks nothing like on the pictures. It is dirty and expensive for this kind of accommodation.
Good view from 6th floor. Excellent situation in Marais. Humorous staff.
Location near to the centre. Room service. WiFi. 24 hours reception.
WC in the different floor. 4th floor without the lift. Some noise from the street.
no elevator and the shower was at a different floor. very small toilet. Very simple breakfest
Room was a good size, fresh (painted white) looking and clean. Nicely decorated. Nice bathroom. Lots of electrical plugs for charging your phone etc. Soft duvet on the bed. Loved the small table and 2 chairs by the window. Location is in the Bastille area so nice location.
No windows that opened to the outside for fresh air. Window actually opened to the inter lobby area. Because of this you could hear everyones conversation even thought we were on the second floor. People visiting all times of the day and night. Hard at times to get a good sleep. Pillows were flat and hard, we did ask for extra pillows which helped.
The room, the bed, the sheet , no shower , no toilet, felt unclean indeed.
Very small room, NO elevator, quite expensive for **star hotel
the location of the hotel and the stylish, simple decoration of the room
shabby stairs and hallways/ guy at desk hassling me to eat breakfast there/ noisy - could hear people snoring/ wifi didn't work...
Location was great - 10 mins to Notre Dame, room standard was good once we were allocated the right standard of room! Friendly service, decent breakfast for 6 euros, maps available, helpful with boiling water required for our bottles.
No lift, steep stairs which is tricky with a buggy - offered storage on ground floor but not secure, mix up with room standard, no natural light into the room as the opposite room could see into ours!
the location is good. 5min walk to the metro
the location was great. the room was clean and the staff very gracious.
Stairs (no elevator) and the lobby had a bit of foul odor
air condition, design
breakfast with small choice, bad coffee
the bed was comfortable, it is located well
bad internet connection, six floors with no elevator, unfriendly staff, room wasn't clean
Location is good.
Focus on other hotel's price. If the price is lower to this one.
great location only
bathroom is very bad
The rooms have been beautifully renovated but the hallways are still old and a bit shabby. Beware there is no lift ! We were on the 4th floor with steep stairs. Great location for exploring Paris.
The room looks great, has modern style mixed with a bit of old (stone and wood), the bathroom is awesome and clean. It has a super location, we found very nice cafes where we had breakfast and lunch and just one street away there is a 'party street' full of clubs and bars...
Our wifi didnt work on the first day
The hotel is in a great spot for Le Marais, close to the park, Saint Paul metro etc. it's just that in the heat of summer in paris, it's not a good place to return to for a rest. The staff were initially unfriendly but got better.
When we arrived we were given a room that was nothing like what was advertised online. It was more like a private room in a run down hostel, for £125 a night. Also there was construction work being done I the room beside ours so we changed to a new one. The new one was small and just as dingy. It was all clean though so we can't complain about that. Their website shows modern simple rooms and even some with real character. That was just not the case for us in our small white box with dodgy furniture and a leaky bathroom. It's a real shame cause the area is brilliant. Overall, a let down.
Clean close to metro Staff's level of English Luggage storage Wifi
The size of bathroom Decor of hotel interior and room - not as pictured. Noisy
