The bedroom was big, comfortable and nicely decorated. It also had a separate living room and a modern and very clean bathroom. The coffee, tea and the delicious fresh grapes they left for us every day were a treat. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the city center and it's much nicer to do that walk through the park by the museum than to take the main road with its narrow sidewalks. I found this hotel very charming and I would certainly recommend it.

The hotel was a quaint chateau set close to the downtown area. It was contemporary yet rustic. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were helpful and pleasant. Parking was a challenge but the staff were very accommodating and parked our car for us in a lot nearby. There was a charge for parking, though.

Room was spacious and light. Bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. In spite of a long journey from California it was easy to get over jet lag. The breakfast was quite delicious as well. Easy to walk to all points in the city because of its central location yet on a fairly quiet street. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. They were eager to make sure that we had a wonderful stay. Their restaurant recommendations were on the mark! The color scheme leading up to the elevator and in the dining room. The red/pea green combination was a dreadful choice and seemed uninviting. The blue in the elevator made it seem so much smaller.

Staff were very helpful and room was spacious and quiet. Parking was an advantage. Breakfast was excellent. Walking distance was a good 15 minutes from main shopping area. Not quite as central as we had hoped.

The modern room decoration is astonishing. Hidden behind high walls, this little paradise is all charm, friendliness and quality. The management is particularly attentive. I had nothing to complain. Really.

They have modernised, what I imagine is an old building, and created a charming boutique hotel. While retaining its old charm it is clean and neat. This is my second visit to this hotel and both times the owner has been there and has been wonderfully helpful and friendly as have the rest of the staff.

Wonderful reception when we arrived. Owner Thierry was very helpful; we checked in quickly and early, he provided a map and gave us the lay of Bordeaux, he spoke in French and English and joked with us. Breakfast the next day was... Eh - for 15Epp, I expected a little more. Room was amazing and comfortable, bathroom was spacious and toiletries were high quality. We enjoyed a bottle of wine in the courtyard and in the shared living room and the hotel was very welcoming. A perfect weekend away.

In all honesty, the Maison Bord'eaux ought not to be seen as an hotel. It is far,far more. It has the contained elegance and charm of a family dwelling - not a business. Here guests are truly that - welcomed as friends from the moment one steps in. Attention, interest and an evident kindness, not to mention the pleasure the owner and his family show, are rare qualities and for that very reason are literally remarkable. La Maison Bord'eaux is outstanding. Its luxury is discrete as it is complete, never overwhelming and very certainly not brazen. Rooms generous and very obviously decorated with great care so they simply add to the sense of "being welcome" that no guest can fail to appreciate. Personally, as a writer, I found it inspiring and what is more, I have the proof of that. Things one did not like??!!! Even to thnk of making them suggests one has a heart of stoneand the sensitivity of a boar. Obviously and certainly, none.

Absolutly fantastic. The Bonnet family were most friendly and hospitable and the service they gave was excellent. The restaurant meals were most enjoyable. Close to the city and easy walking distance to all major city tourist venues. The building is delightful and charming. For first timers to Bordeaus do not drive at night without a gps as it is impossible to find street signs in the dark. Best to take a taxi. No complaints whatsoever about la Maison Bordeaux.

Staff very welcoming and helpful. Beautiful room with view of well tended garden. Garden unusually large for somewhere so central, breakfast served outside. My grasp of the french language is very poor, but staff made sure that was no problem.

Excellent hotel with only about 6 rooms. Staff took our bagsto our room, which was on the last floor. Very different boutique hotel. The living room and common rooms are wonderfully decorated and inviting. The open kitchen is really cool! The staff were very kind and helpful! The room was great in terms of size and facilities. They thought of everything. Best part: toilet was in a separate location from the bathroom :) which is useful when travelling as a new couple. Internet free and fast, parking available and not too expensive, and staff parked the car for us and brought it up when we needed to use it. It was a bit far from the shopping district, but a quick ride in the futuristic tram makes up for it.

The people in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We liked the hotel but thought Eur 160 per night was far too pricy for what it was. The breakfast should have been included. Otherwise nice rooms and welcoming staff. In the standard room small bathroom. Not really easy to find by car through one way street system but helpful instructions from hotel staff.

It's very convenient for the city centre yet in a quiet area. The courtyard is ideal for breakfast and the general design and decor of the hotel are excellent. The room we had was extremely comfortable and had all we needed. The staff were very friendly too. We really enjoyed our stay.

A stylish boutique hotel. Nice extra touches in the room - fresh fruit and chocolates, top quality shower products. Gentleman 'on reception' helpful - gave directions. Decor in breakfast room very dark - not my taste, but very funky.
