People were friendly and helpful. Facilities were spotless and well laid out.
You couldn't check in before 17:00.
We absolutely loved it, truly fabulous but don't want to tell anyone as it is such a gem! We want to keep this one to ourselves!
Restaurant but was full Bathroom Free wifi Free parking Hospitality
No lift - rather take a bag than a large suitcase
The hotel is charming, the bedroom is large, with new furniture and good shower. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant inside the hotel is great, and the food is the best.
The location is a little bit far away from blois, but is quite near from chateau cambord
Comfortable, quiet room. Very nice bathroom and shower. Very friendly and helpful staff. A short drive to Blois, Chambord and Chevirgny. Excellent, excellent restaurant !!! Probably the best dinner of our 8 day tour of the Loire.
Small dark room in an uninteresting area. Strange restaurant.
Nice area. Pitty about the staff that runs it. The worst people in the business. Beware. Not always as nice as it looks. I am sorry that I went there
Totally unacceptable unfriendly behaviour because we were a few minutes late to arrive. The hotel manager talked to us like we were his enemies. I have never seen such a bad behaviour anywhere in the world that I have travelled. Noth gim as the receprionist shouldnt be there. Apart from this the place is beautiful. Piry about the staff
The staff was adorable and very helpfull, the place is beautiful, clean and quite charming. (nice patio !) We were here for a wedding and everything went perfectly !
From the outside the hotel is unassuming, although it does look out over the church and village square. Inside the small public spaces are relaxed and staff friendly and most helpful. Our room was great - nicely furnished with a super bathroom. The restaurant is outstanding with imaginative food.
The imaginative presentation and quality of food, first two courses only as we did not have dessert (see dislikes). Decor in dining room and bar. Service other than at dinner was good
Service was poor for dinner. They were understaffed for a big party so that after waiting nearly an hour after we had finished our main course we gave up on dessert. Decor in bedrooms and bathrooms need a little renovation to be a top hotel. Personally I like a slice of lemon or lime and ice in my G&T.
The new owners were very very welcoming, and helpful in every way. Mrs. Hay met us at our car with umbrellas since it was pouring, let us into our room early which was exactly what we needed and offered to book us a restaurant since theirs was not set up yet. We would return there again and again. I am sure they will be most successful in this new undertaking. She also answered all of my emails promptly. June and Ben Cherry Green Valley, Arizona
Everything was good!
We chose this hotel for its supposed Michelin star restaurant, which, as it turned out, has since been sold, and was closed entirely at the time of our stay. What a disappointment... Though the room was ok, and the location just a short drive away from the famous Chateau de Chambord, we thought the hotel (more of a bed and breakfast really) was overpriced for what it offered. For breakfast, 10 EUR per person bought us exactly one croissant, one small piece of baguette, some jam and some bad coffee. Though the owner was friendly, we would not choose this place again. If you're looking for a place to stay in the area, opt for one of the hotels in the charming nearby town of Blois.
charming little hotel, restaurant was great
old house, plumping might need some repair
Food & wine in the restaurant.
Noisy traffic & heating system.
No pen in the room
We stayed for 3 nights. The location is great for Chambord. The maison is family run & they were very helpful.
The bed was very low & in our room, the internet wasn't even recognized by our laptop & tablet, so we had to sit downstairs to use them.
