It's her house and you'll be the guest.
Great central Paris location just 5 minutes from the nearest Metro stop. Immaculately clean and very well appointed with fabulous traditional French breakfast. Proprietor, Caroline, was very friendly and most helpful in booking us in for lunch at a really good local bistro. Will definitely be back.
Size of room. Modern bathroom. Cleanliness. Friendliness and helpfulness of owner. Wi fi.
Design and newness of ensuite bathroom. Caroline is an excellent owner and very thoughtful. Subway and numerous restaurants nearby.
This is a charming alternative to a formal hotel. With only 3 bedrooms and a communal breakfast table, the guest area adjoins the owner's private accommodation but is entirely self-contained and tastefully decorated. The deluxe bedroom is a good size for central Paris and has a large, comfortable bed and very good shower room. It is spotlessly clean and the breakfast is very good. Caroline is a very welcoming and helpful host. There are several good bistros in the immediate vicinity. If arriving by rer from cdg airport, it is an easy transfer from Gare du Nord to the local metro line.
There was a little bit of street noise and, if other guests are arriving late at night or leaving early, it is impossible not to hear them enter/exit. This did not cause us any particular problem.
Caroline very helpful with directions and excellent host would certainly stay there again
Maison de la Lea is modern, stylish and very comfortable. Although small, our room was cleverly designed and tastefully furnished.
There was quite a lot of noise from the road below however, if the window was closed this was not a problem.
Owner was friendly Very clean and comfortable Good transport links and resaturants nearby Great breakfast
Difficult to find from the outside
Host was nice and helpful. Cleaning service every day. Breakfast was good. Walking distance from metro station. Wifi good. Well-sized bathroom.
Room size small. Water in the washing basin splashy.
The owner was very nice, helpful and discrete. We found many restaurants around. Metro is very close. Breakfast was simple and delicious even for almost two week stay. Room was very clean and modern +++
Despite the owner's warning, we took the smallest room of three and it was indeed very small for two
The owner (particularly!), the breakfast, the room, the bed, the cushions, the decor, the shower, the location, the ambiance.
The duvet was too heavy for me personally. The wash basin was very attractive but rather splashy.
We had a lovely stay at this B&B. It was very quiet, immaculately clean; fixtures were new and modern. It is on a quiet street but very close to Bastille metro, which connects several lines. I believe there are only two guest rooms, and the B&B connects directly to the owner's apartment. Caroline was very welcoming, let us drop our bags early in the morning (pre-arranged by email) and, as the room happened to be available, let us check in at the same time. Staying here is a bit like staying in a private home in Paris. You will have door codes and be able to come and go as you please. Breakfast is fresh and delicious (fresh-squeezed orange juice!), but you do need to let the host know in advanced when you would like it served. For us, this arrangement was very comfortable. We had a great time in Paris and would definitely stay at La Maison de Léa again.
The breakfast prepared for us each morning was lovely. The accommodations were just perfect for sight-seeing, then having a comfortable room to relax in at night. I would go back.
Clean and comfort. The owner, Caroline, is so kind and nice. Location is good and close to restaurant area and a Carrefour Cityshop.
The room is smaller than expected, compared with the cost.
Nice location. Room is very clean. Very good service and breakfast.
This is one of the nicest hotels / rooms I have stayed in, great position and the standard of the room is totally first class. The owner is a credit to how she runs her hotel. A+++++
Nothing, first class.
Caroline was very welcoming and attentive. We had a lovely relaxing time. The room was very comfortable and we would certainly return.
It would have been nice to have Coffee making facilities in the room, but everything else was perfect.
Caroline is a very welcoming and helpful hostess. Her apartment is very imaginatively decorated in a quiet street within easy reach of restaurants and metro. Lovely breakfasts made a great start to the day.
Coroline is perfect Host. Nothing to complain about.
A very stylish apartment with a beautifully appointed room , though on the small side for travelers with lots of luggage (ours was the smallest of the bedrooms). Caroline was a particularly attentive host who went out of her way to provide useful advice and additional kindness. Situated in a lively area of Paris, conveniently close to two metro stops on different lines. Lots of great cafes nearby. Try Le Cafe d'Industrie just down Rue Sedaine, for a quirky atmospheric restaurant with robust meals at modest prices. Don't miss the Thursday Bastille market nearby.
Hostess was friendly, spoke good English and was always helpful. Fantastic location to experience the local lifestyle.
Super comfortable bed, very clean and excellent welcome from Caroline
External noise, lack of hanging space for clothes and also bathroom could be more private (sliding door not to everyone's taste!)
This was everything you'd expect from an excellent B & B, and more. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, and was attentive without ever being intrusive. I stay a lot in hotels, and for me the stand out difference was how wonderful the bedding and towels all smelt. That, and the incredibly comfortable bed meant it was difficult to get up the next morning....
This is a b & b, so you share the kitchen table over breakfast. Also, it's a converted apartment, so there are no signs from the outside, if you haven't received an email with instructions, it's a good idea to speak to the owner before you arrive. Neither of these things were problems, both the location, and the breakfast were fantastic!
- our room (Paris) was good in size, nicely furnished and very clean. - Caroline is a perfect hostess and she helped us a lot (subway, etc.) - Breakfast was also good. Croissants, petits-pains au chocolat, baguette, fromage, saucisse aso and of course excellent coffee and a freshly pressed orange-juice.
The hangers in the wardrobe and the size of the wardrobe ( too short).
Good quality fixtures and fittings, clean and in a good position.
