La Maison du Lierre is a charming hotel offering free Wi-Fi and a prime location in central Bordeaux. It is near the Grand Theatre, luxury shops and Allée de Tourny. When the weather is nice, this can be enjoyed in the peaceful interior garden. La Maison du Lierre is a 5-minute walk to Place des Quinconces. Here there is a tram stop served by lines B and C. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was perfect for us. The breakfast was very nice. Our room was nice and clean. One reason I chose the hotel was for their lovely garden patio and it was under construction which would have been nice to know beforehand. Also, the free WiFi throughout the hotel only worked if we were sitting in the stairwell

We can say that relation between the prize and location is great. The location is 5 minutes by walk to the center(opera stop tramway). Besides the decoration of the hotel is wonderful cause each room is decorated different. In my case it was on the 2nd floor and it was very confortable, the heating is switching on powerful and the hotel was very clean. The service of breakfast is great(9 euros but you have the originl french breakfast--croissant milk&coffee, butter, yaourt and bread) Nothing. It s impossible to say something that I dont like. If we need to say something it s the location but as I said before it s 5 minutes by foot.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and good continental breakfast. Near to quality shops and restaurants (walking distance of all central Bordeaux). Nowhere to leave luggage when arriving out of check in hours as reception not staffed. However it is not an expensive hotel and this is not a very serious problem if you time your arrival carefully.

We enjoyed the relaxed welcoming atmosphere, it was perfect for a value for money hotel with a quaint authentic atmosphere relevant to regional France. It was well located in the old part of Bordeaux with proximity to transport, shops, the tourist bureau and locations to stroll around. I would gladly stay again and recommend La Maison Du Lierre to others. I would suggest provison of a hair dryer in the roomer loan of one from reception. They are bulky and many hotels now provide them.

Location Only! And it's not that close from the tram station. The reception time. There was no hot water on second day and hot water stopped during shower the third day. Old dirty bed cover and mosquito blood? Marks on the wall. Wi-Fi only works in the lobby.

The hotel was located right in the centre of Bordeaux, near all the sights and restaurants, very near the trams and the petit train, we had a really good time there. The only drawback to the hotel was it had no car parking facilities and we had to use a public car park at least a half mile away from the hotel so we had to carry our luggage quite a long way. The car park also cost 44 euros for 2 nights parking. Which was quite a lot.

This hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance of main tourist sites and tram and bus routes. We were made very welcome by the helpful staff. Room was small but adequate. Limited reception hours.

The hotel was pretty much in the city centre, about a 5 minute walk to the main shopping street. There were lots of restuarants and shops near the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and the decor was pleasant. We also had a balcony. I would definitely stay here again if returning to Bordeaux. It was such a beautiful city! The room was a little small. We were two girls with two suitcases and they hardly fit in the room. The hotel staff were not very present. We hardly ever saw them so if we had any questions we were on our own.

The hotel staff are the saving grace to this hotel. They were helpful in every way they could have been, from booking taxis, restaurant suggestions, and lending out blowdryers. The overall ambience is very french, the building is charming, and decor is successful. The old bed was not comfortable at all and I didn't feel that it was very clean. The top quilt was wrinkled from the person who had just slept in it, and though the sheets had been changed, I did not feel comfortable resting my head on pillows that had been stuffed into an unclean end table The furniture was not very clean, nor was the bathroom door and other high-traffic areas. I feel like it got a once-over with the same rag. I tried not to look too closely.

Access to good restaurants nearby. Ease of getting the bus to the airport. The website photos made the rooms look far nicer than they really are. It was represented as a much more comfortable and inviting hotel.

The location for visiting the monuments and museums of bordeaux was excellent..also plenty of nice restos on the same street so that after a day of walking around it wasn't necessary to go far for dinner The coffee at breakfast...can't believe there is a hotel in france that doesn't have an espresso machine, but they don't and the drip coffee was awful

Fab location for exploring the city, close to all sights and a short min walk from the airport bus. nice little balcony looking out over the back and very quiet. If you arrive between 1230-1530 you may not be able to check in as the reception is often closed during these hours.

Piccolo albergo accogliente con angoli carini. Buonissima la posizione, molto comoda. Purtroppo era in ristrutturazione.

“We occupied a Junior suite on the second floor of this building which is full of character and tasteful period furniture and is situated in a quiet side street within easy walking access to the city centre, shops, restaurants and tram system. The bed was very comfortable in a good sized room with large bathroom and separate toilet. An enjoyable breakfast - everything very fresh and of good quality with tasty homemade preserves - was served at the table by the very attentive proprietor who was very helpful throughout our thoroughly enjoyable 3-night stay” Charles, Penicuik |
