Great welcome, friendly family-run place with beautiful courtyard for breakfast.
Excellent service and location. Lovely courtyard for breakfast.
The ambiance and garden
A little bit more space in the room would be nice
Rooms are gorgeous. Breakfast is good. General ambience is great.
No food or drink in rooms. Can see why, but a glass of wine whilst getting ready would have been nice.
We loved everything about this hotel beautifully decorated, calm and relaxed atmosphere and exceedingly helpful staff. Particularly loved breakfast and evening drinks in the lovely courtyard
The whole central Bordeaux was in walking distance-no vehicle required. Very quiet in heart of city! Staff was VERY helpful and friendly!!
Had to leave car at a public garage 5 min away. Understand there is no parking in older part of city.
great location in walking distance of all the sights, very pretty ivy covered courtyard for good value breakfast, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful male owner
rooms much more cluttered than appeared the photographs - hats, soft toys, fury stools and cushions abound, very unfriendly female owner made us feel very uncomfortable (surprised this has only been mentioned in a couple of reviews - maybe our faces didn't fit), signs everywhere telling you what to do and what not to do
Location is great.
Nice decoration. Good location.
The bedroom and the bathroom were too small for two persons. We had no room to open our bags in the bedroom and to put two toiletry bags in the bathroom. The wooden floor was squeaky and we could hear our neighbors walking around and the cleaners cleaning from 8 am. The staff when we left was not very friendly and did not even ask our opinion on our stay.
When arriving after 8.30 pm the reception is closed and you get a code for entering the hotel. The room is so small that there is no space left for 2 normal bags.On the other hand only one curtain, in order to dim the room, protects from outside, with the consequence of sitting in darksness during daytime. Breakfast is very poor, the coffee is kept warm on a hotplate. The little patio is very nice, don't laugh and speak low, otherwise you'll attract reproving looks. An last but not least no elevator.
All amenities one would want Very friendly staff Excellent location for access to the centre and access to tram for travel to main train station Excellent restaurants nearby (especially one called Baud & Millet who specialise in cheese and wine - definitely worth visiting!) Didn't have the breakfast but it looked quite nice
Decor and decorations not really to my taste The room was quite small Some of the rooms open straight onto the courtyard affording almost no privacy (would not recommend for a romantic weekend away!). Noise could be a factor given the hotel layout however, personally, we did not have any trouble with noise.
Beautiful boutique hotel close to all the main attractions in Brodeaux. Loved the simple and clean decor of the hotel. Would return again.
Friendly staff Good location
Friendly staff, great location, very good breakfast. Set in a quiet area but close to all major attractions
Privately owned. Good location. Friendly staff Bedroom a delight - very clean and comfortable with tasteful decor. Secluded shaded garden at rear- ideal for unwinding with a wine or two. Nice breakfast.
No elevator. Taxi from hotel to railway station St.Jean grossly overcharging us (Euro 26)
The decor was great and calming ,good music, jazz and gentle singers. the people were very helpful. We did get a bit muddled with payment, thinking it had been taken with Booking .com and then being accosted at 8am on the last morning as we went and presented with a bill, they hadn't worked out we were a family group and my son almost left without paying and we didn't get a receipt and for speed I put it on my credit card. Not ideal, but Booking.com's fault, not sure I would recommend booking through them . In fact I would recommend booking direct with the hotels. We could choose our rooms here ,but at Agen we couldn't and got allocated the worst rooms. I would recommend staying here and would stay again.
We were in a wine country and yet could only drink the hotels wine, I think if we had been able to drink anything then we might have been encouraged to sample the hotels wine which was reasonable and looked good, the notices ,don't eat or drink unless it is from the hotel were a bit off putting, sometimes you want some nuts with a soft drink and this wasn't allowed in the garden area. I think they should rethink this. I would still stay again.
Relaxed, lovely courtyard and generally a very comfortable place to stay
Great location and marvelous breakfast in the beautiful backyard.
Extremely poor sound insulation between the bathroom and the bedroom. The hotel had lost our booking (which I have never experienced before when using booking.com), and found a room albeit a poorer room than we had booked (to the same price as the original room).
Location Courtyard Decor Helpful staff
No lift, but they did take the bags up for us.
Air conditioning, bathroom, size of bed, cleanliness, garden aspect, quiet, centre of town, beautifully decorated, good breakfast
The hotel was close to all the big sites and easily within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and the river. We loved the hotel, the staff was so helpful to us. We even had a small terrace to drink a glass of wine when we got back to the hotel after a long day. The breakfast area with its garden was adorable, quaint with quiet Frank Sinatra type music playing. The breakfast was good too. We would highly recommend this hotel. We will recommend this hotel to all our friends.
Room and ensuite very clean. Lovely quiet garden to have a relaxing drink. Breakfast excellent. Staff very helpful. Situation great for walking to cafes, shops, park etc. A very pleasant stay.
This is a small boutique hotel, room was reasonable size and all staff we encountered were friendly and extremely helpful. Our room opened out into the garden where breakfast, which was included in our tarif, was served each morning. A very relaxing way to start each day. Our room was serviced daily and was impeccably clean. Wifi was free access.
