Everything! The staff were all as friends, the facility was pretty, comfortable, and inviting. Charming, safe neighborhood, so much fun to 'live' there and walk at any hour of day or night. Every need was met; help with computer, keeping luggage, directions for buses and restaurants, etc. A perfect haven for a clueless first-time visitor to Paris! The only place I would stay for future (hopefully) visits!
I did not want to leave!
The reason staying here is conveniences, 10 mins walk from Gare Montparnasse, 3 mins walk to Gaite metro station. The room is modern and many restaurant around. Breakfast not excellance but good enough.
The wifi seem does not work on my room.
great place, close to the metro, great staff, small clean room, good coffee downstairs
wifi didn't quite reach the 4th floor
The staff was very nice and always willing to speak English since we struggle in French. We even got a great restaurant recommendation for our last night. The location was good, very near the Pernety Metro Station so it was easy to get into central Paris. If you speak more than a little French and want to stay in a real neighborhood, free or tourist, stay here. We loved the windows and little Juilet balconies, our daughter especially.
The lift is tiny but we knew this going in due to other reviews. The room was OK but not as clean as I would have liked. Mainly it was the light colored carpet that showed dirt that made the room feel unclean; the bed and bathroom seemed very clean though. Also, our curtain rod was not fully attached to the wall and fell when we tried to close the curtains. I'm sure it was temporary and is fixed by now. The bathroom was very small.
The room is just too small
The location is good The staff are great
Night shift manager was excellent, very efficient and followed through on any matter discussed. Gave Good advice on local restuarants
clean, quiet, Friendly staff. Metro No. 4 straight from Gare de Nord to our nice neighborhood. From hotel metro 4 or 13. good breakfast for 10€ . restaurants nearby, shopping whatever you need. good price for paris.
room is small, takes a night to adjust. almost no storage: teeny closet, no hooks, no drawers, no place for more than very small suitcase on the only desk area. we got used to it. never unpacked anything. They need to put something on walls for storage. Pretty please!
The kindness of the staff. Very central.
The alarm ringing in the middle of the night.
2 rooms(bathroom each room) as a separable family room. Good water pressure. Well isolated windows. Friendly front desk.
Old small bathroom (cupboard/ shower cabinet). No fridge. Busy patterned/ colour wallpaper/carpet.
We loved the location, the cozy minimalism of the room which nevertheless had all the necessary equipment. It was quiet: we could keep the window open all night. Easygoing, polite and helpful staff at the reception.
If you are very tall or weighty, prepare for the extreme smallness of the bathroom and the elevator (one person only).
staff were exceptionally helpful. This area in Paris is relatively unknown but filled with good local restaurants and lively streets.
rooms were a bit noisy
I only stayed two days in Paris, so finding a flexible place was of the essence. La Maison Montparnasse was such a good place to relax, and the accommodations were very well-kept. The staff helped me immensely by allowing me to check in a little earlier, keeping my bags after checkout, and providing arrangements for pick-up. This hotel was a lovely surprise for a much-needed break.
I chose a hotel over hostel, because of the difficulty of finding good hostels in Paris. This is a little more expensive than I wanted to pay, but definitely worth it for the comfort!
Friendliness of staff, cleanliness of the rooms, bathrooms were pristine, which is important for me. Metro only 2 blocks
lift was minute (then again, most lifts in Paris are). it is not really that close to city centre, but with the metro, you can be at the Arc du triumph in 20 mins.
the hotel colorful design, the location, the breakfast, the nice staff. comfortable bed. two metro stations very close
very small room and bathroom. would recommend at least to add a shelf in the shower
near metro , close to main attractions and safe at night with great bars and places to eat just a short walk .
Location, really helpful & knowledgeable staff, pointed out some lovely places to eat in the area, good breakfast, very clean & tidy.
very friendly staff allowed use of breakfast area 24/7 for eating food we brought in good wifi room clean subway stops(Pernety) nearby excellent local bakeries, groceries, restaurants only 1-2 blocks away
rooms a bit small, but expect this in budget hotel
Value for money and great location
Staff was very friendly, room was small but very clean. Bed was very good (and mind you: this is Paris!). Convenient location close to the Metro. Enough restaurants and cafés in the neighbourhood.
The room was clean and updated. It was small, but that was expected (and in line with the value). The bed was very comfortable and the surrounding area was quiet - good for sleeping. The staff were friendly and helpful - and always available. We would definitely stay here again.
The WiFi is overwhelmed by all the guest demands, but they are working to address that.
Rooms were very tidy and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great, walking distance to the Metro and a number of Paris landmarks. Lot's of cafes to get your morning cafe.
Its small! But if you're there to see the city and not sleep in a hotel room, it's perfect.
Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Quite close to Metro station. Price reasonable. Decent eateries nearby.
Wi-fi was a little slow. No room for an elevator, so a room on "premiere etage" (2nd floor) is a good idea.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was close to two Metro stops. There were plenty of bars, restaurant, and bakeries nearby.
The rooms and bathroom were VERY small. The convenient metro line that allowed you to reach the Eiffel Tower and Arch d Triumph was closed (not the hotels fault) which made it more difficult to reach where we wanted to go.
Thanks to the staff there!
