The welcome we received, the relaxed, friendly atmosphere, the beauty of the garden and the pool, the excellent dining in the evening and the splendid breakfast with its range of dishes and plenty of coffee. A family-owned place of generous hospitality.

An observation more than a dislike: the steps in the garden from the two lower guest rooms up to the terrace and dining room could be a problem for someone not steady on their feet.

Good location, comfy room, good breakfast.ood

Great to have kettle provided. Pity there was no coffee, two tea bags and three small milk cartons to provide two of us for two nights.

The grounds are meticulous and the view toward la cite is fantastic at night.

There was a bizarre feeling from the staff.

Delphine is the perfect host giving us a warm welcome. The room was lovely, the breakfast was enormous and we opted for dinner which was great value which included aperitifs and wine with dinner.... We had a lovely stay ... Thank you Delphine & Maman x

    The weather !

The house is absolutely beautiful and the location is also magnificent! The rooms were cozy and the common area, with the fireplace, was just adorable. The dinner Delphine and Nicole made for us was an absolutely delicious feast too! But the thing we appreciated the most in the stay was the kindness and gentleness of our hostesses. We had an unfortunate situation happen during our stay and they didn't hesitate to go out of their way to help us. They are both always willing to welcome you with a smile and do whatever is possible to accomodate their guests. We will surely go back!!!

To us, this was an absolute plus because we were looking for peace and quiet, so strolling down the vineyards was the perfect plan. But we aware that the house is a bit difficult to find without a GPS. Fortunately, the people in Carcassonne are super nice and friendly and will help you with directions if you get lost (as it happened to us!)

I liked this old house & had a lovely spacious room, The host made me a lovely dinner by request. The B 'n B is close to the old city & within walking distance if one enjoys it

It was not easy for me to find this B 'n B & the host speaks poorly English

The Maison sur la Colline is a must to be seen. Very close to the medieval city of Carcassonne, we could enjoy a magnificeint view of the walls of the city. The owners Nicole and her daughter Delphine make your stay a dream becomes true. Try the diner, delicious and the house is well decorated, It makes you feel comfortable and more than a guest, a friend! merci Nicole

It was a charming location. Breakfast was the best we've experienced at comprable facilities. Unfortunately, both my husband and I had severe upset stomachs and were afraid to partake in the goodies! I've dreamt about them since.

Stairs, stairs, stairs. Steap Stairs from our bedroom to the bathroom.

The location was excellent and close to town. The view of Carcassone was great. Excellent swimming pool and Delphine most accomdating and even booked us our next lot of accomodation.Breakfast was good.

No lock on bedroom door, but not a big issue. Unable to get an evening meal as we hadnt booked for one 48 hours in advance.

A very French B&B. Our hosts were friendly and helpful but left us alone which we liked. The five rooms are arranged around a garden terrace raised by a rocky earth bank with no railings in places. Access to the pool is up a steep rocky path at the front of the house. The pool is large with plenty of loungers and sun shades which have seen better days but are clean and functional. Our room was old fashioned but very comfortable with a lovely modern bathroom. Although I understand that each room is very different and we were not able to access the internet from ours but it was fine everywhere else. The breakfast was simply amazing with freshly made cakes, jams, bread, rolls, yoghurts etc but this was the only place we stayed at that didn't serve freshly squeezed orange juice. Pots of various sizes are everywhere, crammed with plants and flowers which give the place a very homely feel and guests can use a fridge and microwave in the kitchen. This place is definitely not suitable for families with young children or anyone with mobility issues but it is an affordable, quiet and comfortable stopover for couples and friends.

During breakfast we were offered no tea, coffee or chocolate to drink although the large table of French guests next to us had the full range. This wasn't discrimination just carelessness as the dirty cups from the previous guests were still on our table along with their hot water so I suspect our host thought we had been served and we were happy enough to make ourselves tea from the water and teabags left over. A slight disappointment considering the effort gone into the breakfast spread but nothing to stop us returning as we could have just asked for drinks. Also be warned that the router settings have not been properly set up so if you have a Mac it may not accept the WIFI connection.
