This hotel is in a great location - a short stroll to the Promonade des Anglais, the main shopping area, the train station and great restaurants around the Cours Saleya. The rooms are a good size, air conditioned and clean. Some rooms have a balcony and all have electronic shutters to ensure you are not woken by the early morning sun. The buffet breakfast was very good too and great value for money. A good range of continental food, cereal, croissants, and bacon and eggs. The staff were excellent and our room was cleaned every day, with daily fresh towels provided. Also, and most importantly the beds were very comfy. All in all a great place to stay!

Friendly welcome at reception. Spacious, clean bedroom and bathroom. There was a small kitchenette which we did not use as we were just there for one night but would be useful if staying for a weekend. The laptop for guest use in reception does not have a printer so could not print boarding cards from it but wonderful receptionist helped me.. Sent as an attachment to her and then she printed them off. We had a quiet room which is quite something in this noisy city. The hotel is just 10 minutes walk from Promenade Anglais and near to the bus stop for the no. 98 Airport bus which costs just €4 per person compared to about €30 for a taxi. We got the bus!

Location was alright in between the promenade and train station. But the walk down the street to the train station did not give a safe feeling. Absolutely did not look at all like the pictures.

Only saving grace about this outfit in my opinion was the receptionist Christina who was most helpful and knowledgeable. She helped us with the bus schedules and volunteered good information on where to go when she found out that the place that we were going to was not feasible. The pictures of the hotel made it look like a chic/sleek boutique hotel but in actual fact this is not the case. The carpets are so worn and tired, I could not get the air conditioning and mini bar to be cold, the water pressure was very weak and the wallpaper and furniture looked dated (and not in a charming way). I could accept the looks of the hotel and room (remembering that it is a 3-star) if only the pictures that made me choose it didn't look so good. Quite deceiving really. I also thought I booked a double bed but ended up with 2 twin beds put together. I honestly thought booking a double room (instead of twin) would get me a double bed. The person who checked us in simply said double means room for two. I would think twin means the same for them then? Please do verify with the hotel first would be my advice before booking.

We loved the location! It is situated on a charming tree lined street near everything. Next, the friendliness and competence of the staff should be noted. They were incredibly helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much that a few weeks later we returned and stayed there again.

Situation was very convenient for our needs. The room was large with a large balcony where it was nice to have coffee in morning or wine in evening. Fridge in room was very handy and we enjoyed the independence we felt by staying at La Malmaison. Would stay again if return to Nice. Only complaint was large black stain on bedroom carpet otherwise clean.

Clean rooms. Towels and sheets changed daily. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities. Good location. Small detail but if they had full length shower curtains the floor would not be so wet.

Very nice hotel, professional staff, spacious room. It is not in the middle of crazy tourist area, but a short walk from the typical sightseeing places, which is pleasant in the evenings. If being very picky: tea/coffee in the room is offered for the first night only and not for a longer stay. But really - the hotel is simply great

Good location, very close to the seafront. WiFi didn't work properly. The walls are somewhat thin so we could hear other people and kids running in the hall at all times. Breakfast is too pricey for what it offers.

Staff on Reception were exceptionally helpful and friendly - in fact the staff in general were excellent. Our room was light and bright, the water was always hot for the shower and we were lucky enough to have a balcony, which was a real bonus in the evenings. The hotel is very convenient for the beach area and also the old town is within walking distance.

Centrally located for city/beach/railway station Coffee/Tea making facilities in the room on arrival but not replenished - penny-pinching!!! I booked 4 rooms - ours was minuscule, barely room for a double bed with two chairs. Others in our party paying the same price had double balconies with chairs + large amounts of room space. Requested by email 4 rooms on same floor. On arrival we were scattered.

We have stayed at this hotel several times before. The staff are friendly and helpful without being in any way intrusive. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable and had a balcony looking out on Boulevard Victor Hugo. The hotel's location is perfect for access to the beach, shops and restaurants.

Very close to the beach.Lots of reasonable restaurants nearby. Staff very obliging. Unfussy. Had to regularly remind staff to replace shower gel in bathroom. Seemed not to be standard practice.

It was a nice calm, place to stay. There wasn't much noise in the area so it was a good to relax in after a day of running around the city. Location is good for the beach and 15 minutes walk from the old town and tourist areas. Air con worked simply and well and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The beds were a bit uncomfortable and even though I asked for a double bed ! only got 2 singles to push together.

The friendlyness of the staff, and they are very knowledgable. The location is a little far from the city centre and train station, however, it is quite close to the beach. The bath room is not acceptable, where the is a big hole on the vendilation ceiling, which gives me a feeling that someone will be able to see through from top. The bath tub comes is old and the shower screen was sealed to the bath tub. Lol

We had a large suite at a top floor with a big balcony. The room was cleaned every day. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a wardrobe in a separate room but it was locked and we couldn't use it - even if we asked for it from a reception. Because of that we hadn't enough storage space for our clothes. Breakfast was not as good as we expected.

We requested an early check in; however, they did not granted that even thou they have rooms available. We knew for a fact that the hotel was not completely booked. In addition, the lady working the frohnt desk was very rude and screaming to other collegues in front of us, she did not wear a uniform, she was very unprofessional with them and with us. The room did not have any air condition and was hot difficult to sleep in such circumstances. I do not recommend this hotel.

Stayed here few times. Very nice hotel, not far from city center but in quiet neigborhood. Rooms are clean and spacious. Bathrooms are the biggest I've ever seen in France. Overall nice place for reasonable price. Room service clearly doesn't know what sign Do not Disturb means.

We were greeted with friendly staff upon check in and our room was very spacious with a large double bed and plenty of room all around. Wifi available was super fast and the hotels location was very convenient to walk to the major shopping, tourist and dining attractions. Hotel cleaning staff werent the best as they never topped up the bathroom essentials such as soap, but in fairness the quality of room and hotel outweighed this.
