Enjoyed the location - convenient to Promenade des Anglais, station, shops and restaurants, yet quiet. Comfortable bed, good air-conditioning, adequate breakfast. Really appreciated tea and coffee making facilities in our room. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Lugging cases up to first floor reception.
The room comfortable enogh and it's quite for families and old coupels
The stuff is not friendly at all. And i stayed waiting 2 hours after the official check in time , because the room is not ready . However , this is a big bother after a long way driving from Barcelona till nice . Finally, I won't recommend no body to stay not even a second in this hotel.
Proximity to beach
Poor room quality given price, very dated. Staff was rather uncaring.
Good location, walking distance to railway station and the beach, there's a small kitchen, room is clean.
Have no chance to
When i arrived to the hotel with my reservation made 4 months prior, there were no room for me. They reserve some room at the very ugly hotel near train station (15 minutes walk). It was much cheaper, but stuff want to take the whole amount of the reservation. When i told them i didn't want to live there, it took time to make sure they would't charge me. So be aware, they overbook.
We liked the location, good size bathroom, and the staff was very nice and helpfull with information.
Terrible bed I could feel the springs on my back and the pillows were hard. They were very tight with their coffee 2 sticks per day one per person and charged 2 euros for the coffee in the machine.
The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. The staff was professional and courteous, but I would expect that from a hotel. One of the best things of this hotel is its location. Close to the beach and restaurants / shopping.
The hotel rooms pictures online don't match up to what you really get. I was expecting more for this price range. I stayed in a previous hotel for half the price in Nice and it was on par to this one.
the location. I would only recommend for the location. Only one of the staff was attentive to your needs, the others not good.
the carpet was dirty and our bed had not been made properly, looked like somebody had laid on it...
Terrace balcony and the view over the city.
Road works outside the hotel
Friendly staff, with a great location close to beach, shops and train station.
Location was great
The whole hotel is grubby and in need of a facelift, the bathroom was particularly bad, dirty fixtures. For this price bracket i would have expected better. The worst thing was the plastic mattress cover under the sheet, ew!
Filthy stains on carpets. Corridors bleak. Steps up from entrance.
Location is very good, near to the center and all interesting places, but at the same time very calm. The way to the beaches is short, about 7-10 minutes. Rooms are comfortable, we had one just after renovation but there was not a "Do not disturb" sign. Also there was a perfect balcony overlooked the Victor Hugo street. By the way the type of the room was Privileged.
First 2 days there was no Wi-Fi in the room but then it appeared and worked very good.
The excellent welcome from the young receptionist. Having arrived at 3am tired and hungry he made sure that I was fed and had something to drink. He made me feel at home.
The location of the hotel is good in a street back from the Promanade but within walking distance to the beach and main shopping/eating venues
No WIFI reception - All guests were constantly complaing and being told "it would be better tomorrow". Room was very basic and the bathroom small and moldy section in grout. Towels were threadbare gray and smelled of vinegar. Carpets were dirty. The whole hotel seemed in a state of renovation and on questioning has been for over a year. Coffee cup in the room had coffee residue. No staff attendance at front desk as they spent a lot of time outside smoking. Night staff more interested in standing at the bar watching the World Cup and smoking at he bar than helping. When we asked for an iron and ironing board we recieved the frame only and was told to just cover it with a towel - good idea if you want your clothes to smell of vinegar. We realised why the staff at check-in insisted that we pay for the 4 day stay up front once we entered the room. A very disappointing hotel that could actually reach the 3 stars as advertised under new management
The rooms were spacious and recently redone.
The AC and Wifi did not work, we were moved to another room and then charged an additional $550 without our knowledge.
Floor 5 room, with jacuzzi bath. Terrace all round. Size of room and bathroom, and dressing room. Absolutely the best room in the hotel. Very friendly staff - really helpful. (tho some info was't accurate). Great situation for easy walking to the sea, shops, buses, train. No deposit required. Nothing to pay until we arrived. Complimentary bottle of wine in a cooler, and bottles of water in the fridge. Room service very good.
Not a case of 'not liking', just a few things for hotel to note. Nobody could tell us how to work the jacuzzi bath, and no instructions in room - so couldn't take advantage of that! No gin & tonic in hotel bar!! Pigeons and (one day) a seagull arriving on the balcony! Don't leave food unattended!(Don't think the hotel can do anything about that one! Also if raining, balcony gets very slippy - take care!) The phone didn't work, and wasn't fixed in our time there. Not that we needed it but handy if wanting to call reception, as it was 5 floors down.
Lovely room with expansive windows Staff helpful even when asking for small things Would stay again
staff was very nice location was good
Very quiet room with very good storage space. Spacious modern bathroom but no fixed shower.
Terrace was disappointing. Large dead plant. Sun loungers would be good to lie on and catch evening sun after a busy day sightseeing.
More wardrobe space more tea and coffee in room
Not a very nice atmosphere in the hotel.
The room was tiny and had no drawers to store clothes
furniture in the room
old building, no Wi-Fi (but paid for it), room with very old cupboard stains of paints on the floor, stained towels. Bad value for money ratio
Very good location Got a free upgrade! Staff friendly Breakfast was according to price quality
Wifi didn't work at the beginning, but was repaired after a few days.
