La Mere Champlain  

Wonderful cuisine and very friendly staff.

Duvet was far too warm for prevailing weather. (However we did not request a lighter cover - which was our fault). We are thinking of a return visit - would be worth enquiring whether or not the hotel can provide an alternate bed cover)

The view from room, the beach, the old seaside active fishing port of Cancale, the extraordinary seafood options, the salt air, the view of Mont Saint Michel, the oyster stalls with cheap and incredible plates of inexpensive oysters...

We couldn't figure out how to get on their wireless. I think they should not have user/password requirements as it creates a negative opinion without any benefit for them.

Excellent, spacious, clean and comfortable room. Large bed is always a bonus in France. Staff very helpful and courteous. Fantastic views from the room over the bay. Hotel has a restaurant downstairs which serves superb food - from the cheap and cheerful, to the truly luxurious.

Would have liked breakfast to have been available from 7.30 instead of 8. Only a slight niggle, but it would have made the morning journey into St Malo a little less worrysome. I know they offer an early start if required - but you know what its like, not wanting to put anyone out...!

The location right on the seafront

La Mere Champlain is located in the beautiful town of Cancale. The rooms are very nice and overlook the beautiful bay. The hotel is very clean and all of the facilities are up to date and well maintained.

The hotel is located above the restaurant and there is no front desk. You check in the restaurant on the first floor with the person running the restaurant. The building is located on the corner of the main street through Cancale. Activity on the street can be loud at night with traffic and drunken revellers!

The beautiful view over the sea from bed & the gorgeous food from the neighbouring restaurants dotted along the seafront. We ate in 'vieux safran' which was delicious&good value, the staff were really lovely. The food in the hotel restaurant looked really good too...we just fancied a walk about.

Excellente situation, personnel aux petits soins, vue exceptionnelle sur la baie de Cancale. Le restaurant est vivement à recommander ! Nous sommes même restés une nuit supplémentaire.

Situé au bord de mer. Restaurant gastronomique très bon! Le petit déjeuner très bon aussi. Les chambres ont été récemment rénovées. Les lits sont confortables et les salles de bain sont nouveaux.

nous avons aimé la chambre face à la mer située en ville et offrant un bon confort. Le bord de mer est vraiment très beau et il faut aller y faire une promenade. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est vraiment très bon et nous avons jugé inutile d'aller voir ailleurs. penser à aller déguster les huitres sauvages vendues en bord de plage et que vous pourrez consommer sur place. En résumé un très bon souvenir de voyage

un hotel tres bien tenu et un restaurant gastronomique sur place avec un personnel de qualité.Une vue sur la baie de Cancale magnifique. Etablissement très propre.

Vue directe sur la baie de Cancale, meme depuis la douche! Une très très bonne situation (directement sur le port) et un hotel très agréable

Il était mentionné parking gratuit sur booking.com, or tous les parking à proximité sont payant (1.50 euro de l'heure)
