Food ok but not super
Rooms, staff, service and food are just fantastic! We were so well looked after and can't wait to stay again. Dinner at the chef's table was an unforgetable experience! All in all a perfect stay!
Wonderfull site, Great location and experience!
Needed more instructions to get there by Car.
The staff were friendly, professional, engaging and caring, they made the difference from it being very good to being great. We had a wonderful stay. The hotel firstly creates its own unique atmosphere with its superb location at the back door of the Palais du Papes, then with the pampered feeling created by its interior design, wonderful quality furnishings and eclectic artwork collection, it is so relaxing as you want for nothing helped by the ever so obliging staff Dinner in the restaurant is a must if you stay here, it is first class food with first class service. We had a great experience from the start of our stay until the finish. Our stay was a completely positive experience.
The historical house and the good taste of its interiors
Our room was lovely and the staff attentive and welcoming. We dined two nights in the restaurant there as the food, service, and presentation were superb!
Beautiful old hotel. Great location to walk to shopping and restaurants. Staff was helpful.
+ Interrior design in lobby & rooms + Service & cleanliness + Wowly location
- It took almost an hour to get to the hotel entrance by car (unclear car direction)
The gorgeous cosy bar with beamed ceiling, the beautiful terrace for aftermoon tea or an evening meal and the staircase!
Having to leave.
Best position, good staff, also a good place for diner.
The hotel staff is very helpfull, the rooms are pretty, Breakfast is good, the restaurant food is great . The location is fantastic !!
The service quality at the restaurant is poor, unsofisticated and sloppy.
Day 3 of European tour We had a wonderful room with terrace and were able to have breakfast outside which was great. Facilities in the room were excellent and the location of the hotel is is just superb. Excellent dinner in the garden, with the distant sounds of opera singer in the Palais des Papes.
The streets leading to the hotel were very narrow. It can be done, though we lost the SatNav connection, but it was a bit tight. Parking was however easy after that and the valet service very good - so quite a relief!
At the beginning of our train journey to Avignon the hotel manager called to say the hotel had messed up our booking and there was no room for us so he had booked us into the other 5star hotel in the town for the first 2 nights then back to our chosen hotel for the last2 nights + 1 free dinner not the honeymoon we had dreamed of
Beautiful, nice and comfortable hotel. Right next to the Palais du Papes. Very good breakfast, the garden, the dining rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. La table d'hôte. A perfect stay.
The carpeting in the room was torn and needs to be replaced. It appears shabby....
World class boutique hotel World class fine dining restaurant Beautiful rooms Excellent location Very good staff
The Kitchen restaurant provided very challenging regional dishes for the Australian palate
The room was really lovely. It was a generous size and the decoration was both thoughtful and tasteful.
The restaurant was disappointing. It was run efficiently and the staff were certainly trying their best but the food was not up to expected quality and overpriced for the offering.
Great location, old world, classy hotel.
It was a perfect stay from beginning to end. All the staff are amazing and the rooms beautiful and well appointed. Dinner (twice) on the terrace was just perfect too. We will be back (as soon as possible).
The location, the comfortable rooms, the building and gardens.
Firstly, they didn't appear to have our booking, which wasn't very good. When we checked out the next day, we enquired about staying the following Saturday night. They said they had 1 room left and would hold it until noon the following day. We emailed the nx day to confirm then phoned and were told that the hotel was fully booked and had been for some time!! I'm sorry, but a hotel of this standard should not be making these sorts of errors. There is no excuse. It caused us considerable inconvenience.
Incredibly beautiful hotel. Location doesn't get better than this one in Avignon. Excellent staff.
La Mirande is an oasis of calm in the centre of bustling Avignon. Our rooms were comfortable and elegant and overlooked the beautiful garden and the Palais des Papes beyond the garden wall. The staff at La Mirande are friendly and welcoming while being thoroughly professional at all times. Jean-Claude Aubertin's menus and M. Jacques' wine recommendations are so delicious that we rarely ate elsewhere.
First off, it's a spectacular, comfortable setting. And it's right next to the Palais du Papes, which I'm sure they said, but we didn't realize - you literally walk out of the gift shop and onto the street and the entrance to the hotel. Which means it's very convenient to the city's largest attraction, but also that you have these amazing views of the Palais from your room, the garden, the dining rooms, etc. And the staff - so helpful, so friendly. A perfect stay.
