La Nonette  

We always stay at La Nonette whenever we visit Paris. It is traditional small countryside French hotel with good service but few amenities. The rooms are clean and the staff helpful, although French language ability is useful here. Its major advantage is its proximity to the train station, which has frequent non-stop main line trains to Paris Nord (make sure you avoid the rer trains). You can stay in the countryside while having a very quick trip into Paris.

We used this hotel for one night after spending the day in Parc Asterix. Hotel room was basic but perfectly adequate for our needs. There is no restaurant for evening meals so we went to l'Atlante pizza restaurant in Coy-La-Foret (turn left out of hotel and drive about a mile, restaurant is on the left). Hotel staff were very friendly and breakfast was good (9 Euros each). Would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Staff were very helpful. Great location for getting into Paris.

Hotel furnishings/decoration a bit tired but very good value.

The train station was ideal as I did not want to risk my car in paris, parking at 5 euro a night was well worth it, as it was gated. Receptionist spoke very good english which made it easier to check in. Worth the money if your not going to spend much time at the hotel.

Nothing really in the area ( for a young couple ) States that wifi is throughout the hotel, our room was on the top floor and had no wifi connection. Room was very old and tatty, bed was uncomfortable and had the light switch on the headboard, which resulted in the lights coming on when moving in your sleep. Catching the train in to paris was the reason for me booking this hotel, the rail network and especially the Metro system is not very english friendly. ( not the hotel's fault, but worth a mention )

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at La Nonette and would recommend it to other families looking for accommodation within easy reach of Paris by train(the train station is right next to the hotel, but because it is a small station in the country, we felt right in the heart of france) The hotel staff were fantastic..so friendly and helpful, and breakfasts were wonderful..traditional french, but also great choice for kids with small friendly atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble. Our day return to Paris on RER was approx.40 euros for a family of 5 and took 20 to 30 mins. We would recommend the open top tour bus from outside gard du nord(tickets via tourist info. at gard du nord)as a great way to see all the sights in a day. Although other reviews suggested that nearby village was within walking distance from the hotel, it would be quite a walk for younger children, and there's hardly anywhere nearby to eat at night, so car is more or less essential especially in winter months to get to shops/restaurants etc. We hired a car from Beauvais airport and found the journey easy (with satnav) and gave us the freedom to explore the nearby villages/towns. All in all, very happy with our choice.Despite it's location and our room being on railway side of hotel, we didn't hear any noise from trains and the rooms were quiet, warm and cosy. Everything was lovely and clean and nice comfy bed/furnishings. Would recommend to anyone after a quieter smaller hotel but suggest driving or hiring a car!

Liked everything about it, but I missed my hairdryer!Perhaps the only other thing which is outwith the hotel's control was a lack of any shops/restaurants within easy walking distance so without a car, we would have struggled to eat in the evenings.

1 minute walking to train station in Orry le Ville Coye - 18 mins fast train / 30 minutes half hour slow train into the centre of Paris Gare D Nord. Excellent train service. Country setting of hotel very pleasant. Orry le Ville has it's own supermarket on the other side of town and the train station/hotel is a few minutes drive out of the town. Hotel continental breakfast was satisfactory but for 9 euro variety of cheese/meats and bread should have been a little more. Hotel has secure parking. La Nonette is also a great distance for Parc Asterix (ten minutes) in the car as well as being close to the Buffalo Grill/McDonalds/Pizzeria hotel development next to motorway. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. We could hear the trains but they didn't bother us because we were so tired from busy days/evenings in Paris, walks and Parc Asterix; so we slept well.

Although the rooms were clean and tidy they were a little small. The en suite bathroom was more than adequate but an extractor fan would have been good. We are not fans of blankets and prefer duvets but they were not a problem. Heating was electric radiators and proved satisfactory as were the double glazed windows. No tea/coffee making facilities but can be purchased at reception, no hairdryer don't forget to take one. We forgot the electric adaptor but the hotel were happy to loan free of charge.

If you sleep at the back side of the hotel, a lot of noise of trains passing.

Clean hotel adjacent to the train station and a 14 K drive to the airport. Reasonably priced.

You do hear the trains, but the windows are good.

Location - around 20mins on a direct regular trains to the centre of Paris which only cost around 8 Euros return, the hotel is fabulously placed for exploring Paris without the crazy cost of central Paris hotels and with somewhere to escape into the countryside in the evenings. The local small village is lovely and about 20minutes walk from the hotel. We also used it as a base to visit Parc Asterix which is about a 15 minutes drive. Smart decor and clean throughout. The continental breakfast has a good selection and seems very good quality. Free reliable wi-fi. Secure parking. Helpful staff with very good English.

Rooms are small but perfectly functional. Some might be bothered by the noise from the trains passing very close by, but even with the windows open I hardly noticed it. More annoyingly noise wise were the other guests who came home late and then shouted at each other (in a friendly way) in the car park for 20 minutes. Not really fair to blame the hotel for the thoughtlessness of other guests but I think it happened as that is where people go to smoke with the front being locked up at night. The shower is too short so I had to crouch to wash my hair, strange design error. It is a shame the bar/restaurant next door is totally unreliable. Seems to open and close when it wants, French village life I guess but it would be really helpful for hotel guests to have somewhere reliable to eat and drink nearby. It's about 20 minute walk on a safe roadside path into the lovely village where a few other bars and restaurants are located, so not a big problem. These things are minor gripes, it is a lovely place.

The beds were small and very low. Family room very cramped. Bathroom facilities need to be cleaned and a new shower curtain wouldn't go a miss. Rooms were very noisy due to being close to a fairly busy road and being right ontop of a train station. Glad we were only staying one night and couldn't wait to get out and on our way. Won't be staying again. Sorry

We received a good welcome, even though we turned up late at night after the reception closed. Service was also very friendly in the morning, and the breakfast was good. The location is good for a stopover if you are travelling to the south of France. It's just north of Paris, so it helped us to avoid the rush hour traffic when we completed our journey back to the UK in the morning. Although we didn't visit the local area, it did seem as if there was a lot to do, especially if you like history and heritage.

The staff at La Nonette could not have been more friendly or helpful. The breakfasts were excellent and set all the family up well for the day. The secure parking was a plus that I didn't expect and the location to the railway station that we took advantage of to get into Paris was second to none. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned during our two night stay. The hotel was quiet which meant good nights sleep for the family.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like about La Nonette.

The front desk staff were very friendly. The wifi was free.

Bits of the hotel were slightly run down. The trains run late at night, which is quite loud.

Perfect location next to railway station for 20 minute journey into Paris, only 2.5 hrs from the ferry port at Calais. Return on the train cost c 10 euros adult and 5 for kids. Hotel was clean, very friendly and comfortable. Car Park a real benefit and kindly allowed us to park all day after check out as we went into Paris. Connecting family room v spacious, kids loved having ' their own' room.

The staff were veryfriendly and helpful, the room small but comfortable and clean.

It's proximity to Charles de Gaulle airport and the railway station. A reasonable breakfast was supplied.

This hotel did not live up to previous reviewers' claims. Although ideally located in respect of Charles de Gaulle airport and Paris, this hotel was not comfortable. The delux double room was quite small and the bathroom came with a broken toilet seat and a shower head that was located 50cm above the bath. The mirror was located on the opposite wall to the sink. Wifi connection was only available in the foyer of the hotel.

Great staff really helpful. Nice breakfast good choice. No issue with sleeping however you can hear the train as station directly behind hotel. Secure coded car park great bonus, should be stated more promintly.

The breakfast was wonderful - varied and the tables beautifully set. The manager was welcoming and helpful and served us so considerately in the morning.

The quality of the furniture was not great - but the room was clean and comfortable.

We stayed one night. We really appreciated the communicant bedrooms (2 adults and 3 children), the staff who was very kind, the good breakfast and the free wifi... we'll come back

Very spacious comfortable family room, Could have had 5 in there. Everything very clean and hotel is very presentable. There is plenty of parking within a gated car park. Only 20 mins from Parc Asterix.

If you like having a window open at night and are sensitive to noise, there is a railway line right outside. With the window closed, it was ok.

Staff was excellent, friendly, helpful with my older sisters luggage. The room was clean, good towels. I had heard the hotel was backed up to the train station. I was on that Sid and barely heard anything. The windows open wide for fresh air. Very quiet. Wake up call on time. Great spot for getting to CDG for early flight.

No elevator.

Out of Paris and in the countryside, but only 20 minutes on the train to centre of Paris. A lvely family run hotel that has it's own character in a peaceful location. Breakfast was great. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Nothing, it was just ideal. You will need a car to reach the hotel unless you wish to travel out from Paris or taxi from the airport.

Not enough fresh fruit at breakfast

I liked the fact that we were located beside the railway station, so we could leave our car at the hotel and be in the center of Paris in 20 min. The location of this hotel also allowed us to visit Park Astrix 15 min drive and fly home from Beauvais airport, which is one hour away. Ideal hotel location to visit Paris city and Park Astrix.
